Merlin smiled. "That could work, if you are willing to put up with me. I don't have intentions of joining the Slytherin team but I do want to be able to play with my friends and at least help score points." He giggles.
"Thank you for your answer." Merlin said to the player and listen to her other answers and then to Megan. After they finished he asked another question. "Hello Miss Mary, you are the seeker and that's my favorite position since I believe it's less violent. What has helped you become a better seeker or what you believe has improved your skills?"

"Thanks!" Callista said as she caught the bottle Gwenevere had tossed her, She'd definitely have to try this stuff soon.
She grinned at Merlin and Eros. She wasn't sporty, either, but exchanging skills was always a good way to build one's network.
"We can't all be good at everything," she said softly just to them. "Somebody has to feed us all...and design our clothes, and run the shops, and the government, and so forth. I'm good at making clothes, doing charms, and taming animals. I'm sure we can all work on helping each other improve though. It would be nice if Fiammetta didn't laugh at me when I try to fly anywhere fast! Fortunately she's in Kyoto now."

Ellie whispered to Magnus, "Thanks, I often get pulled off in so many directions listening and trying to think of my own, but I have one!" she said triumphantly.
"Megan, you said you would pursue music after retiring from Quidditch, what instrument/instruments do you play?" Ellie asked with genuine interest.
(OOC: Sorry I haven't been participating in the second stage of the RP! I don't have any inspiration to write. 😅)

Mary smiled at Melrin. “Less violent you say eh? Well, typically it’s the Seekers who get more fouls on them and targeted more for the bludgers seeing as most of the time we tend to be the ones that can win the game. Er, well practicing… at home my girlfriend throws things at me in our garden and I try to dodge the items. Its actually quite fun but we live near muggles and one neighbour called the muggle aurors on us called police. That was fun explaining to them that I wanted her to throw things at me. Since then we put up a taller fence and use sound muffling spells.” She giggled.
“Who is Fiammetta,” Magnus asked Callista butting in. To Ellie, Magnus nodded. “I so understand that.”
“Well,” Megan said, “I love all kinds of instruments but play the cello and the harpsichord. I’ve been asked to join the Weird Sisters about three or four times but I am nee ready to retire. You ye play then?”
(( no worries <3 its all good ))

Callista grins. "Fiammetta Zabini is my older sister."

"Well I'm good in several things just sports is not one of them. That doesn't mean I can't try to improve my skills, not to be a pro but for fun. I'm a really good flyer...when I don't use a broom but I'm getting much better with it."
"Well you do have a point, but aren't the beaters are supposed to try keep the bludgers away? I understand yes it doesn't always go as planned but I thought maybe it was less violent, thanks for clarifying my wrong perception. I'm a peaceful person, that's probably why I'm not good with sports." He laughs softly. "What is it like to live near muggles? I like muggles, they are interesting."
"Wow, cello and harpsichord? Thats amazing! I myself play the piano, though I have never really branched out to try other instruments yet, because the piano has always been my favorite" Ellie said with a smile. "I cant believe you've turned down the Weird Sisters that many times either" Ellie said in disbelief..."Do you plan on retiring from Quidditch soon, or do you think it will be quite a while?".

“Oh,” Magnus said to Calista, “I don’t think I ever met ‘er.”
“Well its true in theory,” Mary said with a giggle, “but in practice it there’s really not many safe options. Still so much fun. However, there are safer sports. Solitary sports are good for non-voilence. Like swimming….unless you go swimming in the lake and get a grindylow after you. Living near muggles is fun for us. There’s not much difference that with magic neighbours other than you know, the magic part.” She shrugged not sure if that was helpful or not.
“Aye,” Megan said, “I love playing, but love the sport a lot too. I figured I’d keep playing the sport until I get old cos ya know the bones’ll be creaking but me cello can be squeakin.” She giggled.
Ellie laughed "That is very true Megan!" she said with a grin.
Looking around, Ellie decided to ask the whole group a question "Excuse me, I have a broad question and please anyone feel free to answer! What do you love the most about being professional Quidditch players?"
"I just love the game," Mary replied, "nothing beats playing in my opinion." "I love that the team is also family," Bronagh said. Gwenevere smiled. "I like the fans. Love people knowing who I am."
There was a sounding trumpet in the locker room. “OH,” Stella said, “it’s time to get to our seats, everyone! Follow me.” She lead them out of the locker room up a series of steps. They arrived at the top box fairly quickly thanks to her knowledge of the faster routes. “Now, there’ll be some vendors coming ‘round with snacks and gifts so make sure you pay attention to those if you want to buy things.”
A banner was flying around the stadium which read:
HOLYHEAD HARPIES VS. WIMBOURNE WASPS
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME!” A voice boomed magically across the stadium. “ARE YOU READY FOR SOME QUIDDITCH?! LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE HOLYHEAD HARPIES!” From the left side of the stadium the players flew out to their positions. “We have keeper, Gwenevere Griffith, Chasers Megan Grahame, Griselle Barlow and Bronagh Gallagher, Beaters Alice Gibbs and Gemma Clark and Seeker Mary Grant.” There was a chorus of loud applause including a whooping from Stella.
"AND NOW FOR THE WIMBOURNE WASPS!" The team flew out from the right side of the stadium. "We have keeper, Ian Rutherford, chasers Ember Ewing, Ken Jones, Michael Davies, beaters Jasmine Collins, Broderick Bulstrode and Seeker Robert Jones. A special congratulations to Ken and Robert on their recent marriage.”
A wizard arrived at the top box with a large cart of pennants, banners, hats and other such wearable novelties. "Any one interested in some souvenirs?"
((OOC: how this'll work. I'll give a scene of the game and a day to reply to each part. In that I'll also have a vendor/snack part around if you want to interact with sales people. Feel free to talk to Stella or Magnus and of course each other. But please remember the teams can't reply since they are playing. The game will end on the 29th. Then the 30th and 1st of July will be our wrap up.))

Merlin got up to cheer when the game started and felt his heart beating fast. "This is amazing!" He said to Magnus. "I could never be in front of so many people flying, imagine the laughter." He giggles. He then turns to Stella. "Did you really play with them in the past? Was it fun?"
"Ain't it? I love watching sports just as much as playing." He giggled, "well maybe if you were a mascot. They do silly and crazy things."
Stella nodded. "Yep. Neat huh? I was a chaser. It was a blast! I still fly with them and hang out."
Merlins eyes shinned. "OHHH I wanna be the mascot! I can do all silly things!" He started jumping. "It's too bad their mascot is not a dragon."
"Why can't you play anymore? Did you retire or do they retire you after a certain age, not saying your old Stella, just sometimes this sport things need very young people." He smiled sweetly. "I think you are still young and beautiful."
Eros followed the others to their seat, pushing his sleeves up a bit as he sat down. He was looking around to see what the vendors were selling, but his attention focused to the Wasps when he heard the announcer mention Ken and Robert's marriage. Eros' face didn't show any kind of reaction to the news, and instead went back to surveying the items in a cart that had just arrived. He decided on nothing, thinking about all the mementos that were already left around his room at home. It also seemed like a waste of money for something used in the moment to cheer on the teams.
"You'd make a good Masscot," Magnus said with a chuckle.
"Well I chose to retire so I could focus on raising a family and start a quidditch supply business. Besides, I can't fly now, not after learning I'm pregnant." It had been a recent discovery and she had only told her husband, kids and close friends--which included Merlin knowing. Stella blushed. "Aww what a sweet thing to say." She hugged him.
Ember Ewing had the quaffle and was zigzagging in and out of the tough Harpies defense. Gemma hit the bludger and it soared narrowly missing Ewing. In that moment Bronagh dislodged the quaffle and headed for the opposite side of the field. She somehow managed to skirt around the Wasps who were zooming around her. In front of the goals she shot but Ian blocked and sent the qauffle to Ken.
It was a good thirty minutes of stalemate. The beaters were very busy whacking the bludgers to prevent scoring. The teams seemed so well matched that a score seemed unlikely. Then Michael of the wasps managed to slip past Gwenevere’s guard and made the first score.
A vendor from Honeydukes arrived at the top box with a smile. “Anyone want some candy dears?”
Score: Wasps; 10 Harpies: 0

Eros slinked back in his seat after the first fifteen minutes. Almost half an hour passed before anyone scored. So far, neither team really showed signs of one being better than the other. Wasps has the lead now, but things could still go either way.
"Can I get a bag of sugar-coated nuts?," Eros pointed up to get the vendor's attention. It was weird, but it recently became his new favorite type of thing to snack on.
"Ohh!! Don't let em score again Gwenevere! Come on Harpies!" Merlin was tense, he wanted his supported team to win. The candy distracted him and he called the vendor over. "Do you have chocolate frogs and pepper imps? Those are my favorites." He took two frogs and a bag of pepper imps. He opened the frog and got a Harry Potter card. "Another one." He gave it to Magnus. "You collect them, you said, right?"
"Yes, dear," the elderly witch said with a smile. She pulled out the bag and handed it to Eros. "That'll be one sickle please."
Magnus was enjoying watching Merlin as was Stella.
The vendor smiled to him and gave the boy his sweets and took the money. Stella ordered a few chocolate frogs, some ice mice and mice pops. She paid and the vendor moved along.
"I do, thanks Merlin!" Magnus said putting the card in his pocket and taking one of the mice pops. They'd become a favourite of his.
Michael had the quaffle now and was speeding through the Harpies who where more determined to not let them score. Griselle stole the quffle from Michael and raced back to the Wasps' side. But then Jasmine hit a bludger and unfortunately for Griselle, it hit her broom and she spiralled out of control. There were some groans and ooohs from the crowd as the chaser's momentum was slowed. She pulled out of the tail spin just before hitting the ground, grabbed another broom and raced back into the fray.
Robert found the snitch in the commotion and tore off for it--but lost it when Gemma sent a bludger his way and she smirked when he swore. Megan now had the quaffle but was soon boxed in and tossed it to Bronagh who made the score tied.
Wasps: 10 Harpies: 10
((and everyone since its only 2posts from my last ping))
Eros reached into his pocket and paid the vendor. "Thank you, ma'am," he said as handed her the sickle, half his attention on her and the other on the game. It was definitely intense and advantages were changing by the second. His stoic expression broke when Bronagh scored for the Harpies, tying the score.
"Do you ever get distracted by the games?," Eros smiled at the elder witch vendor. "Not sure I could do my job if I worked here," he looked at her briefly, but tried to keep his attention on the match.
