and all pets have gotten updated TCs - now I'm tackling minions and writing stories. Made a lot of progress today alone lol! enjoying it though, putting my goals down and actually achieving them feels great.

Lemon Poppy-Seed has a profile layout! It's not finished, I'm still trying to visualize all the elements I want to end up on this page, but I'm so pleased with the colors! I am really low on SP now but I spent what little I had on adding more TC items to LPS as well as my newest pet Significant Other. :D :D :D :D :D

One of my biggest inspirations is seeing other people's pets looking really nice, which is what I'm trying to channel in this thread. The more cool stuff I see other people do, the more I wanna do. Except for treasure chests, which comes very naturally because I'm such an awful hoarder on this site lol I'm never not working on TCs

I'm not a huge fan of vibrant pets, but I love it for the Zasaba, and the name is perfect!! And I know what you mean about being low on sP, ugggh, treasure chests. I did get the 1000 TC item achievement today though, finally!

I had plans on changing my Pokemon fanpet, Kartana, into a Nostalgic Torrent and finally went through with it! It was a bit hard to find a pet to match Kartana since it's not based off of any animal, but this fits really well in concept. Both are inspired by Japanese papercrafts.

Answering your question about inspiration: For my original pets, the inspiration varies and most of them are just character ideas for now, but I'm looking to change that. The only thing holding me back is that I don't have a lot of confidence as a writer, so while my pets do have characters, they have yet to be given stories because of it. As for my fanpets, 11/20 of my current pets are these, because they're just good fun to have even without stories or anything. Easier to work with than my original pets because they're based on something that already exists. Overall, fanpet or original, it's just a matter of what I like that happens to stick for them.

Ha, I've made very little progress compared to most people here. For me the main thing is just writing the stories, I don't know if I even care about making profiles anymore.

Well, I've done some word-vomit on Misanthrope, got Forested's story going, and actually erased some of Susurrous' story to try and make a better backstory... Yeah, I'm deserving more of a...bronze star, perhaps a pewter star, idk. But I'm gettin' there.

I swear treasure chest slots are my SP sink lol Yep, 7th Guest is named after the game! Not my favorite game, it is a very frustrating one, but I have always loved the title and it's a great representative of that dorky FMV era. Now to figure out what I'm even going to do with this pet.

That's great progress! Stories are the most time consuming part of working on pets for me, I'd say that's gold star worthy- at the least, it's still progress! You have some really cool concepts going.

For everyone talking about stories, ugh, they are so the hardest part for me - and I am almost finished earning a PhD in English, AND I teach college English composition for a living :P I don't know what it is about pet stories, but they are the hardest thing for me to write. It took me literal years to get Drifblim's done.

• settled on character designs for widow + cease during vesnali
• halidom's tc is done! it needs slots for the rest of the sand, and then it just needs arranging, and i'll hold off on that until i have the profile sorted out so i don't need to move the maps more than once
• mephilia's tc is also done, barring a handful of stuff i'm waiting on finding/earning myself and a few things i'm still debating
• nyx is completely done! the only changes i'm making to him are profile ones once i sit down and figure out relative vs absolute positioning. otherwise, his profile, his tc -- all done.
• added one last item to eri's tc, then gave her remaining space to mephilia so i can't add anything else by mistake. like nyx, she's done unless i need to update her code for whatever reason.

• barring a handful of items both widow + cease's tcs are basically done... sort of. her's was much larger than his before i culled part of it in an effort to get a handle on her personality; she needs more books now p:
• updated steven's profile with a thing so his background isn't repeating?? but now everything needs repositioning lmao whoops
• still haven't coded anything for cease or fixed terry's tc problem
• have neglected literally everyone else oh geez

Last month Riordyn got a color/species change and I completely re-organized his 785 TC, which I've been meaning to do for years! I've gotten back to feeding him and he's up to 3382. He also got a new profile but that's also a bit of a fail since I haven't felt like fixing it yet.

Into The Woods, who has been entirely neglected since February 2015 when I made him, finally got some love! He went from an 8 items/30 slot TC to 665/710 in less than a month! I spent sooooo many hours watching and re-watching the Broadway performance of the play, searching Subetalodge, and organizing wildly. He has a temporary profile right now but I already know what I'm gonna do for his permanent one; now I just need to get it done. I got sort of burned out on him so his TC's a bit of a mess right now but its fine haha.

Yellowstone got an AMAZING profile but I'm really really struggling to get the writing done. Nothing is coming out right and our planned trip got canceled so my hope of inspiration is kind of dead. I might pester my boyfriend to help me.

Photographer, my brand new baby, has endured her first round of spoiling! I splurged all my savings on her TC, which somehow ended up being 50 items exactly to fit the spaces I pre-bought. Shame I missed the Ornate Floral Pitcher TS restocks but I think that might be a sign to wait for the Harvest Bovyne instead. I already have a lot of ideas for her TC so I'm really excited to get into it more!

I need a sticker that says "You Failed" for poor Oompa Loompa... On the plus side of things, I ordered his overlay and it looks AWESOME so far! But on the why-am-I-like-this side, he needs 6 more of that horribly aggravating K Stickers. Once I get those he'll be done and Spotlight ready (fingers crossed his TC is accepted as a "story"). Only one little problem: K Stickers are 8m a pop and every time I save up that much I just spend it on someone else's treasure!!! Why do I keep doing this?! I told myself to stop it and focus on him... and then I splurged on Photographer today x.x I guess I just have bigger priority pets right now, I mean obviously, but ugh. I'm still annoyed at myself. I've never had a TC I can "finish" before.

Adopted this beauty from the pound! I wasn't looking for a Chelon, but I couldn't pass him up.

Basically had the same situation with JoBeth. She was in there for a good couple of days and finally I caved to her Duck of Doom vibe.

I'm up to nine pets now, all fed/played with and in training. My only problem is I have no idea where to even start with backstories; it's gonna take me time to figure out what my team's 'vibe' is and what roles they play in it.

Rabastan: I made some photoshop vomit for it. It only took years, and I still have no real character concept. Hopefully I can go somewhere from there.

Mall Cop: No treasure, no minion, wrong species and color, but I did a profile and story. Even 69 word long stories count, right?

...I still have three more that need stories before they'll be finished though, sigh. Then three whose profiles aren't even started, and one pet I found in the pound that I'm trying to decide if I want to keep or not. Ugh so much to do.
