Crashed yesterday after all that battling. :-) Finally awake and ready to go at it again. If you get some time after battles, or need a break from the fray, don't forget there's one more day of everything's a weekend quest given the Quest-A-Thon extension. I see the goal has been met but there's still the extra rewards. Also don't forget to keep up your Bathhouse streaks with all this commotion going on everywhere.

Lau - yes, Perilous Whirlpool has a low chance to freeze. Tos was using one against Hydragellos so got a pretty good idea of how well it worked after 1200 battles. :-)

Looks like Tos will not be getting ten wins against the Wizard. Not enough AP (or scrolls) to chain freeze. And not enough defense. Tried a couple of times and got killed pretty quickly. (sigh) I knew I needed to kill all those mini's and get the slayer. Just didn't have time to fit that in this year. But they will all be back again, so .. next time she'll be really ready!

- I see you found a use for your Gelatin Slayer! Good work! Keep it up, you can get those last two wins. Also congrats on getting in 1400 battles against Hydragellos. I am cheering for you.

Meanwhile, still wondering if there's anything I can do to give Gulp (T5) a chance to kill some Gelashells. They were no problem for Tos (T9) and Tharg (T8) and I know they're too hard for 81 (T3). But if Gulp could somehow keep from being frozen (Lambent Guardian Crystal helps there with it's 3 mod slots) and get in some damage, she might have a chance. Ran out of Gelashells while I was still experimenting last time, so might give it another go.

Also I suppose I should let Tharg battle Hydragellos - I guess I can manage another 100 battles or so and see if he's getting anywhere (so NOT looking forward to that right now).

I run out of things to freeze him with . Darn it.

I used helmet, Psycho Smasher x1, Gale Force x5, Perilous Whirlpool x 2. Do you need anything? Just ask. :)

I've been using the Specs to boost my Attack, along with 3 Shrieks, Gelaspell & Smoldering Slaglord Gauntlets to try to protect against stealing, but meh. Oh and RV for the chance of freezing but it's not enough

I think helmet is better than specs for the wizard ;) plus BoNAS, lots of BoNAs because apparently he's got sticky fingers and toes. I brought Gel Slayer, PBB, Sierrac and Rapier into battle. I occasionally paired Gel Slayer with one of the later two and/ or Gelaspell for a chance to freeze.

could I borrow Psycho Smasher Scroll and 2 Gale Force Scrolls? I think that's as much as my AP can afford

Take lots of rest! We've been battling our arm off these last few days :D I'd recommend the Mini Gel achievement unless you're tired of them. The sword gives you 10% heal when you're fighting the gellies, which is pretty neat :D. I really like it.

I'm currently stuck in the 4th battle ! :D He keeps freezing me first turn, and the scrolls don't work so I keep getting everything stolen shakes fist and tries again ;)

Just read what you posted while I was busy typing this - congratulations on getting your fifth win against the Wizards!

- I know about the Gelatin Slayer - I think Tos might have a chance against the Wizards if I had one, but I don't know if I have the patience for another 1100 battles (I'm at 1400 right now.) I think I have already killed 810 of them this year. :-) Every time I try to fight them I get really bored (especially with the sometimes lag) and I have to go do something else. (Maybe I'm just all battled out.)

Even for Mini Gelatins where I love the speed - I really don't like using the new UI. I kill them fast (when the lag doesn't interfere with that) but I'm pretty much just repetitive clicking with no thought or any enjoyment and I intensely dislike doing it. (Worse than the Hydragellos where at least I had to look to see whether or not he was frozen to pick my next turn choices.) And I"m pretty sure that Tos wouldn't be able to get ten Wizard wins this year anyhow. (Besides - it is going to be a long time before I could use a Maniacal Essence. The second core can always wait safely in my vault.)

So I'm currently trying to see if Tharg can do anything at all against Hydragellos. T8 is hard - no AoN or core or Shinwas Short Sword. I'm trying Rapier of Error because it has that curse plus a chance to freeze. So he's got Large Gutting Knife, Blessed Trident, Rapier of Error, RV, STS, Phoenix Quill, UltimaPlus Tag (for freezing) and DDS. I raised his AP to 30 so he could use Aftershocks plus GoTF, but first I'm trying Aftershocks plus Perilous Whirlpool (and a Cobalt Eternal because I have one and it fits). I would equip a second Perilous Whirlpool if I had one handy. Anyway this is just his first battle, so we'll see what happens.

Good point. Except husband would probably not have appreciated that (nor myself making his coffee and burning my hand trying LOL) Also guess what!? According to my calculations, I just hit the 5m mark against Hydragellos! Will have to confirm in 10 hours though XD

And thank you! :D The Wizards were really tricky and hard! I'm happy to have been able to obtain their loot :D

I'll fight him more later, but it's time to quest and slay some more minis at the same time :D

Enjoy obliterating those minis. Maybe I'll go after some more of them as well a little later on.

Tharg managed to do about 3400 damage in his first battle against Hydragellos. Not too bad, actually. If he can average about 3K damage, he could get to the 1 million mark in about 300 to 350 battles. I think I might be able to manage that one more time. Then minis I guess. I'm sure I won't be able to handle any of the new green jellies thinks are coming.

And, yes, please do not burn your hand making coffee. You will need it for lots of things.
