- Who were you fighting? There are opponents who disable defense, and I believe curses that disable defense as well. Speaking of curses, they aren't blocked, so if you had a curse on your pet you would still take damage even while using a full blocker.

How much health did you have when you died? There are opponents that disable defense but if your health was also really low and your enemy had curses on you, you will still take curse damage. Curse damage is unblockable.

Dark Matter Dice and Uilliff (CS challenger) are two opponents that have defence disabled :D You'll take all of their hits no matter what kind of shield or block you have up because while fighting them your defence power is basically set to zero XD

- As said, Nightshade (the Dark matter dice guy) and Ulliff an old CSC challenger disable all defense. Better to bring healing items against them than blockers.

You probably don't need to remember it because Cibophobia will likely outgrow both guys very quickly :P
