It was an International festival...celebrating the many ethnic groups that live locally. Lots of food and performances. I had forgotten about it and Liz reminded me yesterday morning. It was only 3 miles away but we took the bus so we wouldn't have to find parking. We made it there and back home with no bus mishaps! lol

Not much traffic in 3 miles but it is a 20 minute bus ride! LOL! But parking is sometimes rough, plus Liz just loves riding the bus so... :-P What's the donkey's name? :-)

Why thank you ma'am!! It's those eyes... We walked the dogs 2 miles. I made gluten free crackers. They turned out so-so but were super easy! And laundry and played online games! LOL! Was kind of lazy really! What did you do?

And make a wish list, perhaps I have some lovelies for you! :-) What´s your most loved species so far? ^-^
I slept in today, it was a long trip yesterday, lol. Uploading pictures now for posting later!
Edit: and all who are interested: So we visited the city of Kleve. It´s a very old city and it has a nice fortress, the Swan Castle. It´s on a hill and was very difficult to photograph yet we climbed the 186 stairs to the castle´s tower and there was a model of it. Afterwards, we visited the old downtown alleys, very cute, the city has many canals and the people have boats tied there directly at their houses, it´s like Little Venice! Then we visited the very old spa gardens and the animal garden. They even had an obelisk there, really high. The cloisters are so lovely, shadowy and with nice light inside. From above, you look at a geometric garden which reminds me of France. Afterwards, we visited Millingen aan de Rijn in the Netherlands, only 10 miles away. They had a very loud festival there so we left sooner than planned yet found a cozy country house restaurant where we spent the evening on the terrace, basking in the last sun rays. :-)
