Wow yeah Kids are sure expensive lil buggers. My niece is a handful too and she's only 9 months! I'm currently saving via the 52 week money challenge and it's working so far.

So how it works is the number of week you are on, is the amount of money you put into a savings. So week 1, is a dollar. Week 2 is 2 dollars, etc. By week 52 you have almost 1400 in savings! And by the end of the year, if you are comfortable with like the $50 a week or even every two weeks, saving is easy. I'm on week 36

How do you keep it separate just a savings account? I pretty much do that anyways lol!! I try to save close to a paycheck a month

one time. my closet had a bunch of stuff in it (very small closet, like one person could stand in it, an that's the size of the closet) any way. my boy was a toddler, (about 2) and i was digging in the closet, and felt something really furry and soft. not remembering what it was, i grabbed it, and pulled it out. IT WAS A DEAD MOUSE!!!! i FREAKED OUT. was screaming and jumping on the bed up and down, and waving my hand around and of course, my husband and the boy comes running back to me, and here i am, up on top of the bed, looking down at my son, and all i could think of was "don't freak out the baby, dont freak out the baby" and i'm trying to hide my hand (THAT IS EMPTY) behind my back as i'm still shaking it, and in a Very High Pitch voice i'm going... "[I]IT'S OK. I'M OK. EVERY THING IS FIND.[/i]"

LOL i was trying to be so calm because i didn't want my son to be afraid of mice, (or icky things) but inside i was SO FREAKED. lol but i'll never forget the smell. lol

(big long story, just to explain the smell) HAHAHAHAAAA

and i swear. i'm smelling it now, when ever i open the closet where the furnace thingy is.

LOVE THE WAY YOU LAYERED YOUR SHOES! (heh. now i'm sorry i never got those shoes, and i guess i better put them on my wishlist, so i can keep an eye out for any one selling theres)

and OMG!!! what a GREAT idea about saving!! i'll have to mention that to my daughter. maybe she can do that, now that she's working. :D

Yep just in a regular savings for me. If I get a regular investment plan going once I am comfortable with like 50 every second week or something i will set up a tax free account i think. I'm shooting for a decent trip by 2020

Thanks! I didnt realize they layered so well until messing around with them recently. The savings thing had popped up on facebook now and again for me so I decided to try it and its going well for me so far. I get into shopping fits where i really wish i could spend it, but I tell myself the short term gain isnt worth it. Save for the better experience of making memories in a place you've never been before and then I get over my impulse.

So far so good, how bout you?

I'm ok, except coughing my head off due to smoke from all of the forest fires. I feel like a baby complaining cause I'm safe in my home. :-(

Your problem isnt less significant than anyone else's. Yes there are those dealing with hurricanes right now, but that doesn't mean your own problems are to be overlooked or are less important. I've had to breathe in air from forest fires. It messes with my allergies something fierce so I completely understand.

Hello everyone :) how are you all hope everyone are healthy and ready for autumn :) savings bah humbug xD the only person wich makes savings in my marrige is my husband yup he's preatty good at it xD and i am the spoiled one xD money in my hands are like water XD come and go xD Cleaning closet i make it every season baahh every part of year in summer in winter in autumn in spring yup im the one whos throwing things from closet to make place for new one (so much for savings :D) i put all things in few Garbage bags part is given to special bins for needing people part is throwed away :) i like to clean closet and find thing i forgot yup it happens xD Hello my friend how are you :) hope your day is fine :) hugs
