Make sure that your piercings you want to gauge are fully healed. Invest in a gauge kit from Amazon, ONLY stainless surgical steel, with the tunnels included because the tapers aren't jewelry (and you can do yourself huge injuries if you use the tapers as such), the tunnels are. Get some vitamin E or Holey Jelly for lubrication, it all washes out of your hair in the end if it comes to that. Take some anti-inflammatory painkillers beforehand and for any resulting discomfort from, it'll help because your piercings you're gauging will swell and burn for a while but that should go away after in the two days after the stretch. Burning is normal, hurting where you can't stand anything on them is not.
Sterilize EVERYTHING when you do the stretch, lube those bad boys up and begin. You should do the stretch over a period of a day, preferably after a shower. But sometimes you can get lucky and do it over the span of a few minutes later, don't push that at the start.
Wait 3-4 months between each stretch, you need to wait about two-four weeks before you take out the tunnels and put in any plugs, or you can leave the tunnels in. Basically, the longer between stretches, the better. The jump from 2g to 0g hurts like hell when you get there since it's the biggest jump.
deep breath
AND GOOD LUCK IF YOU DO IT.

I eased a lot of the difficulty between 4-2 and 2-0 (my first time gauging, I'm working back up now) by using the taping method. Using body safe tape in slow increments on your tunnels drastically reduced pain and healing time. I actually had minimal burn and discomfort with this method!

Oh! Okay. XD Taping made mine stick but I'm glad it worked for you. c:

Oh yikes 0.0; I wasn't aware they COULD stick. See, now you've got me rethinking using the method this time lol

I currently have my tongue and ears done
I am really looking to get collar bone dermals, a medusa and a septum piercing!
ear lobes, tongue, and nipples. I used to have spider bites, septum, and my bridge as well.
I only have one piercing in each ear, so nothing too exciting. Iām more of a tattoo gal to be honest. :)
I have my lobes pierced, twice on one ear and three times on the other, also three cartilage piercings :)
Currently In: PA, double nose, and tongue Retired: Spider Bites, and Nipples
I just got a labret done and I love it so much.... <3 I also have a ring in one side of my nose and a stud in the other.
I love love love when people get their upper lip done, it just doesn't suit me. x_x Also, i love the anti-eyebrow..... <3 I wish it suited me, but I wear gigantic glasses which would cover it anyway. =P
Currently: double lobes (first holes stretched to 4g -- hoping to go to 2g after this winter), both conches, upper bellybutton, nipples, and septum Retired: 3rd lobes (didn't like the look), left snug (keloid), right forward helix (really hard to keep clean), and lower bellybutton (rejected)
The only other piercings I would consider are double high nostrils. But that's way down the road after I've established myself a little bit in my career (it can be a fairly conservative field, depending on where you end up). I feel like I push it with my ear piercings. The septum is nice because I can flip it up and nobody is the wiser. =)
I don't even want to start getting tattoos. Knowing myself with piercings, I'd spend waaaay too much money and have a few I regret later. xD
-Lobes (stretched to 00) -Nose -Industrial
Used to have: -Eyebrow -Belly Button
Want: -2 more on each lobe -Belly Button (again) -Rook -Daith -Tragus
My belly button and eyebrow got infected for whatever reason, so I barely had each of them for 1 month or so before I just let them heal up. I stretched my ears each size 1-2 weeks at a time... I did not leave them for 3-4 months at each size (like the poster above states), and they did amazing!
I have 2 holes on each lobe: first pair I got when I was around 11-12 in a place they used piercing guns and the second pair I got this year in an actual tattoo and piercing parlor which was a lot different experience.

I have my ears pierced with two holes on each side. I used to have my nipples pierced and my navel done. I may re-get them.

I want to get the industrial. I've had several ear piercing: tragus, rook, conch, anti-tragus, lobes, cartilage and did well with all of them but I hear really bad stories about the industrial with healing and such >__< I'm just not sure if the trouble is worth it or not. Does anyone have experiences to share?
ears; 32mm (1 1/4"), and three 16gs, two on the left and one on the right. septum; stretched to 10g. tongue; 16 g. right side lip labret; 16 g.
i think that's it. i retired my nipple piercings a few years back. also had a right side upper ear cartilage at 20g which has since been retired also.
I never had any problems with my industrial healing.
Mine looks a little weird because my ear is so small that it sticks way out (a tongue barbell actually fits mine better). But, the only negative thing was the "crunch" when I got the piercing... The sound was worse than the actual pain, freaked me out a bit and then he had to do it once more for the other side.
Piercings: 3 in each lobe 1 naval
5 tattoos: Back 2 on each forearm
i only have an eyebrow piercing :< i had my ears pierced when i was 9, but i did it at claire's and i was allergic to the metals they had in most of their earrings, so i let them closed. get your ears pierced at an actual piercing shop, y'all!
i'm planning on getting my ears pierced (again), and maybe lip piercing/s. i've also been considering a septum piercing, equal parts because i'd look cute and because multiple people have told me not to, haha
also since a few of us are sharing tattoos, i got my first one last summer! it was a friday the 13th flash, and i got a little green heart with bug legs + antennae. i call it a lovebug!
