Honestly, I'd love if this became a thing. There's a lot of experiments that, for all intents and purposes, might as well be traditional species. I'd always kind of associated zapper experiments with being exactly that- experimental. Weird, gross, unconventional, and/or just bizarre. Then suddenly we have experiments like 0101 or 104 and it seems the only reason these are experiments and not traditional species is because, well, we said so. The Qrykee was one of those. A little intimidating, yes, but otherwise just a creative take on a crocodile. Not really "experimental" in the way that, say, is. So it's nice to see the conversion, and I honestly hope it carries over for a few more of the current experiments.
Maybe that's just me, though.
In the meantime, I'm in love with the vibrant qyrkee.

I'm not a pet person, but I made one to name after my lil hamster babe named Tubbles and turned her Vibrant. I might wind up making her a tubby Bumbus down the line, but this felt right for now.
Fun fact: it was revamped before it was released as a standalone pet species!
The experiment's teeth used to bother me something fierce, so so so happy with this revamp.
Also, that has got to be the best vibrant pet on-site, hands down. That colour transition from dark to light purple to neon, and the bits of pink, purple and neon yellowgreen breaking it up. That's what it's all about. ❤ No eyepain, just happiness.
The dusk one is what dreams are made of. The gold bits on it are just... Yes. All of the colours are so well done with that little splash of something extra to break it up. Whoever coloured and revamped it - you did a fantastic job!
Just... I really freaking love that this experiment is a legit pet now. Like said, a lot of the more natural-looking animal experiments would also make amazeballs standalone pets if the staff has plans on continuing the trend. Keep the more freaky/weird/horrorshow ones (fishbowl, conjoined lizard, toothy toe monster, ooze blob, 404, etc.) as experiments, make the more animal-like ones pets.

I thought they had changed a bit! I have one of these, and I am loving this change! Not sure what color I will make him, but it makes me supremely happy! We really needed another lizard pet that could have fun colors! I may hold out for a harvest version, but that vibrant is gorgeous. Damn!
So happy about this! Can't wait for Nightmare or Storm colors. In the meantime, Sculpin will remain dusk :D

The first thing I thought of about this pet Qrki was that Euclid would not be happy, his Experiment got un-mutated, what's the fun of that? I don't agree with the limitations put on the more monstrous pets being regular pets that some users have set.
I think it would be hilarious if there was no colorfill-only version of the 5162 since it is a blob and so morphable. It may take years for it to get all the colors because of this but it'd be fun.
A glacier 5162 would be a novelty ice cube. A galactic one would be indistinguishable from the cloud it's in. A Nostalgic one would be a tub of goo TM or just a lump of coal. A gold one would be a cube of pyrite. A cream one would be an aggie marble. A vibrant one would look like an oil slick.
Never been one for zapping but as soon as I saw the chibi one I immediately went and created one and bought a chibi potion pokes Pehnhaligon SO CUTE.

What I love is that some colors gives a different expression in the eyes..

I'm so glad this experiment was chosen, crocodilians are very dear to me, and I can't wait to see a glade or nightmare one!
For other experiments that could be pets... I thought of , although I know it's not viable at all, I just like the thought of the recolors actually being from someone trying very hard to paint this animated skeleton beast.
