It's not just that Spicer had incoherent sentences, but they were also very obviously not thought through. I mean, who says stuff like that? Ick.

Of course the other countries weigh in on this, since this effectively is the start of WWIII. I honestly think it is. We weighed in on Russia invading and annexing Crimea, but did we do anything to help them?

I hope the other countries just get their shit together and go to war already so we can get this bullshit over with. I have a very bleak opinion of the human race thanks to my education and experiences, so if I seem blasé or just plain cruel regarding this situation, there you go. Humans won't change these violent and idiotic violent tendencies unless we do something similar to From the New World. I actually wish for something like that to be perfectly honest--human DNA encoding an aversion to intraspecies violence and a shame-death code where you die if you kill another human.

Anyways, if we want to continue our discussion, we should probably move it to smail as we might be detracting from the topic at hand.

Super sorry for my delayed response. I've had limited computer access for over a week.

It seems like the whole thing has blown over but there's more to this. I don't trust any of our elected officials right now. It's all about earning more money at the expense of the regular citizens. Honestly the whole situation is scary and I don't even know what to think

I've never trusted anyone at face value since I turned 8, so I'm not surprised by much anymore. Politically speaking, I'm a moderate I think? I believe in things on both sides, though not the extremes. I don't trust any politicians ever, which is why I don't vote or watch news (because news channels are either/or, not both or balanced).

You're right in saying that people are more concerned with earning money than the people they are supposed to represent. In fact, the founding fathers never intended for people to have a career in politics, or rather careers as our representatives. I believe that's why the political climate stagnates at times, because we aren't getting any new people (and therefore points of view) in to provide a better understanding of our country. I find it disgusting that people make careers over something like this.

Anywho, things are indeed scary. If I wasn't on meds I'd be back to having at least 3 panic attacks a day. Sorry for rambling.

Same here. For me, trust is very hard to earn and easily lost. And now all this shit with North Korea. It's out of control and people are still defending the piece of shit. People really need to get a grip on what's right and what's wrong. It's wrong to insult our allies. It's wrong to insult another world leader, even if he is a piece of a shit. It's wrong to bring up our nuclear weapons. Millions of people can die from that and it's all a joke to him and his supporters. He gave an interview where he said he bombed Iraq instead of Syria. WTF? How do you mix up the places you bomb? I'm a total loss of words

I heard a lot of his tweets have been gathered as evidence for once he finally gets taken to court. I understand all this takes time but we as a country and the world may not have a lot of time. It's scary as shit and I can totally see why people are having panic attacks. I'm scared too. I'm not scared of North Korea but I'm scared of Iran and Russia.

Now that I'm on my medication and taking them as directed, I don't really have any panic attacks. In fact, I easily forget things I might be worried about. Yet I still have a.... an existential nihilistic view of everything. Life is meaningless: we weren't born for any purpose, nothing we do matters, we only ascribe to a religious or philosophical belief because we crave validation, but in the end it doesn't matter. Everyone and everything is going to die.

That doesn't mean I want to suffer, mind. If a nuke comes for us and we aren't killed instantly, we'd wish we were that lucky. In fact, I was thinking of, hm, not quite suicide, more like chopping my arm off? I was in so much pain for over a year and the occupational therapy building was like my second home. I'd get iontophoresis patches nearly every day in the same place that I'd get electrical burns as a result. I was (and still am currently) taking gabapentin 2700 mg a day-- 300 mg capsules, three of them three times a day. Still in unbearable pain and I'd burst into tears, just sobbing because I wanted to not be in pain anymore. Anywho my point is as long as I do not suffer before or because of the cause of death/injury, I'm cool with death.

I mean I'm not suicidal anymore, but I still have that viewpoint.
