“I were thinking of Pip, you know, cos of Pipsqueak? Too lame?” Magnus asked. He looked at the puff Merlin showed him and smiled. “Looks like a furry lime. I think it’d be cuter if it ‘ad fangs.” He snickered. “Nah, its cute.”

“Yeah, she has a cute white one. Me too, I’m not sure how she’s gonna take it,” Niall said with a slight sigh. But he looked back up to Merlin and smiled, “I-I can’t believe I have two pets.” He looked lovingly at the white puff and nodded eagerly. “I love her already. I-I was thinking…Cara. It sounds like Gaelic for friend.” He blushed furiously the meaning deep, his first friends buying him his first furry friends. Beaming and petting Merlin’s lime one with his spare hand. “So pretty.”

Magnus nodded. “’E was dancing a gig when I went over to ‘im and ‘e climbed up on me. That’s a beautiful cat Tams, and adorable kitten Niall. I think you both choose well. Me cat is a ginger cat named Kippers cos she nicked me kippers the morning I got ‘er.” He giggled at all the cats loitering around Kyros.

Merlin's eyes got wide open. "OHHH I almost forgot!" he laughed hard. "I have a special thing just for you! wait!" He gave Niall his lime green puff while he went away, then he returned with a little cage, inside was a black puff with a fake fangs on him, it was made especially by request and the owner said he won't take responsibilities if it bite. "This is for you Mag! Since you didn't liked puffs and I wanted you to have one, just like us..I asked the owner if he could alter one to fit your tastes more. I think it turned out super cute and it seems to like its fangs too! Do you like it? Cause if you don't want it I may take it." Merlin was grinning and waiting for Mags reaction a little worried but Niall seem to like it.

Magnus' eyes widened at the little cage and was wondering what the Hades Merlin was up too. His eyes narrowed at the puff and he squirmed. Then he saw the fangs and guffaw highly amused at the wee fangs. His face melted and he said, "awww its sooo cute." The fangs elicited another giggle as he opened the cage to pet the black puff--the grin on his face clear what he though. "You are so weird Merlin," he said with an affectionate laugh, "thank you. Guess I 'ave a puffy too now. Hmm what should I name 'im?"

Merlin laughed at the weird comment but took it as a compliment since he didn't liked feeling ordinary- weird was better than common to him. "Glad you like it! The fangs won't fall- it's an enchantment but it can bite, just don't know if hard, but you can take it." He giggles. "How about Buffy...so we have Puffy, Buffy and then Drew can name his Duffy." Merlin started laughing non stop, he thought it was hilarious and Tamsin couldn't help but to laugh as well.

"Your laughter is contagious Merls!" She looked at Niall and he seem to be holding his laughter. "I must agree with Magnus- you are weird, but an adorable weird. That's a lovely puff you got there for Mag."

“’Ave ta admit its adorable.” He snickered at the name Buffy. “There’s a muggle theatre programme that’s shown on a box called a telly and its called Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I only saw it a few times but I liked it… plus the girl is very pretty. Alright, Buffy it is.” Magnus smile was so wide. “Or Drew could call it Fluffy.” He giggled at the fangs, “’ow’s widdle Buffy Wuffy? Me own vampire puffy wuffy.” He tickled it and it purred. He nodded at Tamsin, “It is, Merlin did a good job picking it. Me widdle vampy puffy.”

Niall was laughing as he held both his and Merlin’s puffs. These guys were pretty fun. “Good to see you laugh, Ms,” he said to Tamsin and blushed furiously. “Whaddya think of Soot for the kitten?

Merlin's eyes were twinkling with tears with so much laughter, the adorable names he was calling the puffskein made him laugh even more. "Drew can call it Coffee too, if he picks a dark one. It rhymes." Merlin had no idea what a telly was but wanted to know. "I would like to know what a telly is one day."

Tamsin nods to Niall. "I knew the boys will make me smile and so have you Niall. I think that's a very clever name, I wonder how my uncle will call this cat? Probably something silly."

Merlin looked back at Kyros who was literally on the floor petting cats. "We lost him. So I wonder how many years it takes for Drew to pick a pet? You know we still have to go to the next place, right?"

"While he decides, we can go see that pretty owl, what do you say? Come on, that way you give rest to Spellz, long distances are no good for him."

"Alright! Just because I might need to send you long distance letters, let me see it." They all went to see the owl, they were several species all extremely beautiful.

"Which one you like? I like the ghost face."

"That one? It's not a ghost face, it's a... I think it's an Australian Masked Owl! Those are endangered and quite rare, it's truly beautiful."

"I told you it was special. So, get near it, see if he likes you." Tamsin smiled.

"It might be a she, you know?" Merlin got close to it, he haven't seen one of those before and was truly in awe. "Wow..did you see this Niall? Mag?" He touched it softly and it didn't move. "Do you think Spellz would get jealous?"

“It’s a box that has entertainment shows on it. Small version of the theatre. When you visit, I’ll take you to London and show you some muggle things.

Niall blushed with Tamsin’s approval. He followed the group going to look at the owl. “It’s woah,” he said. “Prettier than a snowy owl. Eros is from Australia,” the boy said. He touched the soft feathers with a gasp.

“Do you think it’d bother Thunder?” Magnus asked. “Dixie was charmed with a spell so she’s not harmed by predators. I doubt think ‘e word be, but you could ask Gaia ‘ow to make sure ‘e don’t get jealous. Maybe buy some extra owl treats.”

((sorry guys! I had to be an adult and go to work today boo hiss!! Will try to catch up now!))

Drew had been half watching and listening to the commotion in the pet store. He laughed at Kyros' reaction to the cats but hoped the other boy would pick a new friend to take home with him. Niall's black kitten was perfect and just the one that Drew would have picked. "Aww, I love your new kitten, Niall. And a snow white puff is rare and very pretty."

And the little mouse on Mags' shoulder... "He's adorable, Mags!!" Drew exclaimed. "Lucky you! But you can't name him Pip," he said. "that's my little owl's name...cause he's so little. Pip might not like Pip." He said and stuck out his tongue teasingly. He had to laugh at the special puff Merlin had gotten for Magnus. "Buffy the fierce puffy," he giggled.

"And don't rush me choosing, Merls. I wish I could take them all! All the cats, birds, mice,and puffs!" Sighing, the boy turned back to the puffs and petted a few of them, trying to make the tough decision. In one corner as a puff with pale yellow fluff that seemed shinier and more silky than the others. Drew carefully reached out to touch the little fluffball and the puff shook itself and made a deep humming sound. Drew quirked an eyebrow. "So you don't like your hair mussed hmm?" he asked softly before easing a hand under the puff and lifting it out of the cage. "But you're so pretty. How about I take you home and then everyone at Hogwarts can admire your beauty?" The puff's humming changed to a more pleased sound and it settled into Drew's hands. the boy grinned and said to the others. "I think I found mine...even if he is a bit aloof and maybe vain. And with his lovely golden hair I have just the name for him...Glorfindel. But he will be Glorfy for short."

((ooc okay I thought this up at work today because yeah I have to incorporate my other fandom love...LOTR...at least a bit :D ))

"I can't wait to go to London with you, I'm a total ignorant of modern things. I'm learning. But Muggle things are quite unique."

"Tamsin was all smiles, she loved that they approved her choice. "I think so too Niall, and I have a snowy myself. I don't think Spellz should get jealous if you give him attention as always."

Merlin was thoughtful. "Well Thunder spends most of his time under my clothes, as creepy as that sounds but yes..and I won't let the owl bother it, you just have to teach them and they learn. Owl's are very smart." He looked at Tamsin. "I love it!"

"Alright, so what would you call it? Ghost face?"

"NO WAY!" He giggled and looked at Niall. "I won't call it Eros because he would kill me, but I first need to know if its a boy or girl." The shop keeper came after Tamsin made him a sign and said it was a girl. "Alright... humm I'll call it Charms then, because I have Spellz already."

"Really?" Tamsin smirks, she thought it was a bit odd.

"You think it's a bad name Mag? How about you Niall, you are great with names." Merlin scratched his head. "You see, we are all going with two pets..cept drew. We should get him a mouse too."

"You must be rich Merls, buying so much!" Tamsin was surprised.

"No, no...I made a deal with the shop owner for Magnus puff." He grins. "Secret."

[Edit] Drew show his pick of puff and Merlin nods. "It's perfect! It suits you, and Glorfy because if not it won't rhyme with ours." He laughed some more, he was feeling good and loved seeing Tamsin smiling.

“Muggles are cool, then again I lived with them for a while so…used to ‘em.” Magnus frowned and picked the mouse up and looked under the tail. “Okay… er… I’ll call ‘er…” Clearly he hadn’t thought of another name for the mouse. He saw the puff that Drew picked out and thought the name was cute as well. “What about Flight for your owl, Merls?”

“Ya could name her Belle, it means beautiful or Enchant—Chant for short.

Magnus’ eyebrow raised “What deal?”

Drew stroked Glorfy and regarded Magnus' mouse. "Hmm...what about Tidbit?" he suggested. He tried to think of more words or names that would mean small.

Merlin's new owl was amazing. "Now matter what you name her, Merls, she's a stunner."

Merlin's eye danced when he heard the name Magnus give. "Oh I love that!" Then Niall suggested another two. "Hum they are good, I'm not too fond of the name Belle so I prefer Enchantress but I like Flight even more! Yes yes flying!" His voice was raised a bit too much with the excitement and Tamsin had to remind him they were not in the forest.

"Lower your voice Merlin, we are not in a park or forest."

"I don't yell in the forest, it bothers the animals." He smiles but she rolled her eyes- Merlin was obsessed with animals and was always protective.

"I forgot, my bad." She then sighs and says. "I love scaring the birds with my screams! I confess, or run toward them so they fly."

"That's so mean!" Merlin pouts.

"I like Flight too, do you want me to scare her?" She grins and hears them all say NO in unison. "Just kidding."

Magnus shook his head. Then he smiled not only had Merlin liked the name he suggested but he turned down Niall’s suggest. “I’ll take Belle then. Cos she’s pretty and she is the colour of a bell.” He smiled and ruffled Niall’s hair. “Thanks for the name idea. We probly outta get going now guys… go to the Neep and start the ‘unt. We can ‘it a couple stores on the way to the next place—like going back to the bookshop."

Niall beamed that Magnus liked the name idea. He was still holding his puff in his hands, still looking very very happy. “So many lovely animals.

Drew smiled at the interaction between the others. When Magnus mentioned the rest of the tour, he asked, "What about our new pets? What will we do with them?" Personally he wouldn't be opposed to going back and froth between the pet store and the book shop...well with maybe a slight detour for food, he thought honestly.

Merlin smiled, it was settled all pets picked and named. "I agree we have to go to the Neep, we are probably behind the hunt already. Not that I mind, I have two new babies!" Merlin was too happy and apparently so was Niall, Mag, and Drew. He truly wished Tamsin smile was genuine and not forced but she seemed natural. "Don't worry about the pets Drew, they will send them to our dorms, I hope I can take Flight to the room for at least one night but I doubt she wants to, probably wants to go hunt food." Merls walked toward the front so they could pay and get on their way. "We left you with no pets to sell!" Merlin smiled. "I also need a cage for the white puffskein." He looked at Niall, you will need it to keep your Madame happy.

Tamsin paid her cat and the owl, which apparently was quite expensive.

"But Tam!"

"Shh, my gift." She smiled at ruffled his hair. "Your my soul little brother. Now guys I really must go. It was a pleasure to see you all again and to meet you Niall, I'm sure you will love Hogwarts."

“They can send ours to ‘Ogwarts, or we can ask to ‘eave ‘em ‘ere till the workshop is over,” Magnus said. “I know the inn’ll watch after Niall’s pets.”

Niall took his pets to the counter had arrangements made for the cat and puff to go to the inn. He also finally opened the pouch to see how much money Gaia had given him. A small “eep” came as he saw he had five galleons. He tried to buy a cat brush, toy and treats—but the proprietor said they were included. “It was nice meeting you Ms,” the boy said as Tamsin left. “Thank ya so much Paddy, Merlin.” The cage for the puff was extremely thoughtful and the boy was blushing heavily.

Magnus gave Tamsin a hug and demanded she send him letters, then he likewise took the pets to the counter and bought a small cage for the mouse as well. Then they headed off to the Neep. They found Rosie fairly quickly and soon afterwards Eros.

Niall spotted the cool teen. “Mr. Eros, sir,” he said shyly, “yar never gonna believe what Paddy and Merlin bought me.” Then he precided to tell the teen all about his new black cat named Soot and his puffskein named Cara. He recounted it very hyper-sounding and the most he had talked at all. “I’ve never had a pet before and then Miss Rosie said she’d send me her spare violin so I learn to play.” He was extremely excited.

To everyone PLEASE keep in mind the task at the Neep it is just till tomorrow. There will be a break soon where you can wander off. This is for your characters to enjoy each other and have a fun scavenger hunt with food.

Also no pets allowed on the tour. Have them sent to Hogwarts. I am still catching up on the thread. I will post some more in a bit.

He turned to look at Niall who sounded very eager about telling him about his new companions. The seventeen year old folded his arm across his chest and smirked. "Wow, it sounds like you're getting spoiled, Nye. Looking forward to seeing your new pals later," the Slytherin grinned. Eros never really had a pet either. While his family owned a ranch and they had animals, Eros never really considered any of them his. "I'm glad you're making new friends. Don't let them be a bad influence on you, though," he jokingly stated. "Also, it's just Eros. Not mister. Not sir," Eros added. ()

"Sorry," Niall blushed but he nodded, "I-I can't believe it. Merlin gave me a book too, on magical creatures. "I sent them to the inn, but if ya don't see them there, ya'll see 'em next term, cos I'm coming here. Have ya started the hunt? We need something that has a taste most frequently described as similar to a "bogey." Something that could be described as almost cannibalistic. Something that will make you more open-minded. And we can pick stuff to take with us."

"Bugger flavour would be mushrooms," Magnus said with a wrinkle of his nose. "I 'ate mushrooms. I should get some apples and bananas though, for me parrot. And you know, Eros, I'm never a bad influence... me detentions are always by meself."

Merlin decided to go look for the clues, the first said "Something that has a taste most frequently described as similar to a "bogey" " Humm.. OH I KNOW!" He looks around. "Here it is, a Gurdyroot!"

He looks for the next clue. "Something that could be described as almost cannibalistic." He opened his eyes wide. "UGH! I don't want to get near it...but what can it be?" He was thoughtful. "I could use some help for this one...probably easy and I can't think of it." he started exploring the place in order to find the answer.
