I'm petrified of posting on the forums, seems 85% of the time I try to post something innocent I get warned for something arbitrary. Or at least it seems that way. I don't know if people are looking for people who make mistakes and report them or if subeta just hates me. I got like a fourth warning today for the forums. Is my account in danger?

Yeah, at this point, if they're official warnings, you're in danger. You get frozen on your 5th official warning, or the 3rd one for the same offense.

If they're verbal warnings, not so much. They're just a slap on the wrist "Hey, don't do that!"

I actually...only got one official warning, ever, and it was for a rule that was retconned out of existence. (back when we weren't allowed to use more than 50% of capital letters in a title, or a shoutbox post, or a forum message)

The forums have their own rules, so it's best you take the time to read the rules sticky on each forum before posting in it. I think that'll clear up any questions you have about the forum rules. If you have any questions about rules, you can always file a ticket and directly ask staff, they'll be happy to help you :)

A lot of people come over from neopets where their forums have little structure and no real rules, so coming over to subeta from neopets can take a lot of adjustment. Once you familiarize yourself with the rules, it shouldn't really be intimidating or hard to remember.

I wouldn't advise anyone to quit, but I'd greatly advise to go and reread the site's rules and the community guidelines once in a while.

Also look at the sticky in each forum - they give helpful guidelines and assistance in what can be done and what cannot be done in each forum!

I hated having to enforce that one. Because it was so nitpicky. If someone was like, 3 letters over 50%, blam, warning.

It really was terrible and I'm glad it's gone.

Damn neopets rules. I did come from neopets... Facepalm Is there a way to check past warnings? I don't remember if they were official or verbal.... I'm so scared. I'll have nothing to do if I get frozen here...

You can fill a ticket and a user admin can tell you why you got warned. Everything is recorded in the UA's notes

Oh my God my tablet glitched out and this was a double post, I think my tablet wants me to get frozen. Subeta that totally wasn't me!!!

it says 3 warnings I take it that means I only have two chances left. Subeta is a little mean. I don't do anything too drastic... Just stupid mess ups on the forums and I only have 2 chances left...

User Administrators are not bullies, nor will they be bothered by your request. It's part of their job to assist users who need help.

Also, the rules aren't really strict, you just have to be careful and again, do refresh your mind once in a while with the links I've provided you. They're a lifesaver

They are scaring me. :( . My worst offence was I used to have a second account but it got frozen, since I came from neopets second accounts were fine so I forgot this rule.... But that was a year ago or so I haven't done anything that bad since so.... Why they so mean to me?

They're not mean to you - they're enforcing the rules fairly to everyone

A User Admin can't afford to have a vendetta against a user, that would reflect poorly on the site. We are told to act fairly to everyone, and sadly, I had to warn friends in the past. It sucks, but the rules are the same for everyone

If you follow the rules, I don't see why you'd get frozen. Yes, you are at risk but it doesn't mean you should quit out of fear. Also, staff members are very helpful and profesionnal. Rules are meant to give a guideline to us. To me, it's fair.

c: Make sure you read the stickies before you post in a forum and you should be fine. Also, warnings do expire iirc, so its not like youll have this black mark on your record forever.

I promise that staff aren't scary here like they seem on Neo. XD Also just be wary that the forums here on Subeta move nowhere near as fast as on Neo. Looking at your post and topic history, I think that might be your issue. Sometimes it takes days for topics to move off the first page of a forum and in places like Advertising for example, the main rule there is 'your topic must have moved off of the third page for something before you can repost'.

Don't be afraid, sites take a little while to get used to. Just be aware of the rules for where you're posting and have fun. :)

Definitely don't be afraid to ask things through tickets - I've made some tickets before for things that I would have figured out myself had I been a bit more observant or had a better memory and staff never seemed annoyed.

You know, if the forums were truly "Overly restrictive" this post would have been locked and removed by now with other punishments probably being doled out.
