- wow! that man was so totally out of line. And being an old computer person myself, I would think he might have figured out that the IT field has many excellent women (my personal idol is Grace Hopper - one of the first computer people and a truly amazing woman), not to mention that women can do pretty much anything (as can men). I really hope you don't let one misguided male's behavior spoil your day. It's good that you have a great boss who backs you and your coworkers. It can be hard dealing with folks who are already frustrated when they get to you because they can't get their computers to do what they wanted, so it's good to hear that most people are nice about it.

Thanks for the beautiful plushie. It is much appreciated. And you are right, it's always fun to make other people happy and gifts are one way to accomplish that. (It worked with me, I am definitely smiling right now. :-) )
