I'm pouting over the new banner because I still didn't get my Charlotte :( I really thought this would be the one. Sigh. Some day, Charlotte...

I'm probably not gonna pull on this new banner. I would love to get Ophelia, but I am not really interested in pulling this time around. Would love to get Silas as well, but I might wait until Silas gets demoted, eh? I gotta save back up again for the Swift Sparrow banner so I can (hopefully) get my Special Spiral AoE Hana build done.

- Yeah, sad no Charlotte. I really didn't think they'd give us more kids. The art is really nice, but I don't need any of these new units, kinda want Nina just for Bow Valor though, but, since I'm taking a semi-hiatus from this game, I'm gonna free pull and scram.

- I won't be gone gone. Just less active. If you wanna poke me to change my front runner unit, let me know. For now it's just going to continue to be Nowi. She's my only worthwhile merge project now, since BST Lewyn blows Nino right out of the water. (Unless Nino gets a PRF, like Odin's)

Aww , I'm sorry :C That really sucks, and makes me even more convinced the Brave Banner was fixed to be rubbish. I've been thinking about taking a step back lately too, have just been feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. I really enjoyed using your Nino though, she's always been helpful <3

Yeah, I'm just glad it broke before the end. New banner... I can live without them I think - don't really get Ophelia/Nina/Flora but they seem popular. Silas... took long enough and he's the likely demote but he has some great skills. Really interested to see the route they take with Garon though!

Well the new chapter certainly... is. And the new banner certainly is too. :B I spent just under 200 orbs getting up to a 5% pity rate, chasing reds, and got broken by a neutral Leif with nothing else on the circle. Flora's broken kit got to me and I got burnt. Oh well, I got a +10 for my Eirika in the process (so now I actually need to kit hee out) and pulled a Hinata to feed to Gunnthrá. And an Ares, too. Soooo many Sophias and Firs though...

Aye, anyone feeling that negative cloud hanging over them? I feel like there's been a lot more negativity surrounding Fire Emblem Heroes recently, and while some of the negativity is justified, I feel like some people are being really negative over small, inconsequential stuff. I dunno, it may just be me, because I feel that it may turn me off from the game sooner or later. I don't want to leave the game because some people are being doomsayers...

Was that the end of Book 2? Damn, that was anti-climactic. Hopefully we be able to get some of those units now. I want Ylgr, she's so cute.

- Guilty. Sorry. All those little things just build up. Bad Luck, power creep, stupidly difficult tiers being added, and new annoying modes being added, have just lead to this hopeless feeling, and on top of that, really lack luster story which is one of the main reason I enjoy fire emblem, has just been slowly building up to me not enjoying heroes anymore.

In other news, apparently I'm psychic, Some friends and I made some predictions for the upcoming updates, and I got all 3 of mine right! Free summon: Serra. New accessory: Sunglasses, and Garon: Red Dragon infantry (cus it's about time Tiki didn't have a monopoly on it anymore).

ylgr isn't in the catalogue yet, i'm wondering if they're going to make her a (colorless?) legendary to match the rest of her siblings -- assuming, of course, that hrid is october's legendary like everyone's thinking.

and nah, i think your's and people's bad mood re/heroes is totally justifiable. they keep making garbage arena choices (helbindi and laeg's A skills are stupid, sorry not sorry), abyssal's flat stat increase is super lazy, def relay is bland and annoying, the 5* pool still feels unpleasant to draw from (i want luke, for panic ploy, but he's a horrible pity breaker. same with mist and some others).

sometimes it feels like they address shallow player concerns (enemy phase music) and ignore deeper ones (arena change complaints), and it's Very Annoying.

e/ and yeah, that final chapter was super underwhelming! i liked the bits with veronica and ylgr and helbindi, and the part with laev and fjorm, but the deaths were ultimately not shocking and fjorm's "oh, kiran!" at the end was annoying.

Now, now, no need to apologize. You are justified to feel that way. In all honesty, I would've quit a good while ago myself, but I always said this one thing in my mind.

"Don't let the game put you through its paces. Instead, go at your own pace, because this isn't the races."

I usually focus on other things aside from arena and getting the best units and all that. More powerful inheritable skills to me are just another opportunity to make units like my Hana stronger, because Skill Inheritance allows almost any unit to be amazing if a skill is inheritable to certain units. Hell, Special Spiral gave me an opportunity to try new builds I would've never tried before, like AoE builds. Is the power creep a little annoying? Quite so, but I believe this is an issue of IS not doing many balance updates like BST boosts for Gen 1 units and (hopefully) a skill refinery for skills that have had new tiers added to them. IS should take a page out of Cygames and try to do kit and stat updates for older characters like Cygames does with Granblue Fantasy. There's weapon refinery, which has turned some previously lackluster characters like Fir and (maybe) Raven into powerhouses that shouldn't be underestimated, but it can be hit and miss at times.

Arena is nothing more than a bragging rights mode to me, so the new A skills Laegjarn and Helbindi have don't bother me one bit. Are they a poor band aid for fixing what is ultimately a broken mode with no creativity once the higher tiers have been reached? Yes, and I think an overhaul of the scoring system would be necessary to make arena fun, diverse, and less broken, but the A skills don't bother me in the slightest because outside of arena, they're useless. If you wanna reach for the top, go for it, but arena is ultimately a stressful mode that should only be considered a bragging rights mode and not the endgame. Sorry if this is too blunt.

I actually enjoyed going through Book 2, though I can agree on some of the writing choices being outright frustrating and insulting, like Surtr being such a bland villain with no motivation for his actions outside of being a damn tyrant who wants to see the world burn, the Askr trio, outside of Alfonse, not doing much throughout Book 2, the infamous death of Gunnthra, everyone figuring out that Ylgr was the traitor and IS trying to even the odds in-story in the most insulting way possible -- need I say more? Despite that, I actually enjoyed going through the story and seeing what happens next, and I do think there was potential for this story to be better, but it was squandered by bland characters, poor writing that didn't explain some aspects like the contracts (this has persisted since Book 1), and a rather anti-climactic ending.

Helbindi and Laegjarn were amazing, though. Felt invested in them more than the main trio because they had clear and reasonable motivations for why they're fighting the protagonists.

Now what was I saying? Yeah...

It's okay to feel burnt out over the game, and I wouldn't blame ya if you quit from all the frustrating shit that's been happening these last few months, but if you wanna stick with it, go at your own pace and focus on simply doing the minimum in arena and the other modes to avoid burnout, or focus on a long-term goal like a merge project or saving up your orbs for a character that may come in the near future. Whatever you wish to do, it's best to do something that won't burn you out.

x_x Well my focus is being devided between the too banners, sadly it looks like I am not ment to get one of the Geneology units this round which has become painful for both Arena and TT as I lack the major bonus units for both ( more so with TT as I've resorted to TWO red cavelry and leveling Jamake early to get the bonuses)

I'll probably get the units one day as 4* or surprises when pulling 5* but it's still painful, not the first time Ihad a TT with bearly any or no bonus units.

Edit: Sorry if this added to any negativity Rowan mentioned, I still enjoy the game regardless of bad pulls ( Heck I have another Gacha game on my phone who's pulls are far less generaous and I still like that one too). I find the above annoying but I make do.

I guess some advice would be nice though on who to pick to still make the most of TT or arena if I have only one or 0 of the bonus units so I don't feel like I need to blow cash to enjoy a mode. I'm already blowing some cash to try to get a bridal unit in said other gacha game x_x

No need to apologize. Even I get sour from bad pulls. It's normal in gacha (Hell, my last couple of 5* pulls got IV screwed, save for Ares, who ended up being neutral), and luck just ebbs and flows with pulls. Just gotta strap in for the ride. I wish you good luck on your next pulls, friend.

I've been using a 4* Jamke for GHB, and with Marth backing him up, he's halfway decent. His speed's rather awkward, so I have Karla for Even Spd Wave support, but his attack is high enough to hit decently hard. Might build up Jamke in the near future, but he's low priority at the moment.

Edit: I dunno whether to mention it or not, but things have been really rough in my life recently, and I've been stuck in this limbo between positive and negative thinking, but mostly negative. Trying to get my mind off of the shit in my life, but I don't think it's working...

- Feeling a little bit more optimistic about the game after getting all the lunatic quests with my flier team on the first try, except for one which I got on the second try after switching out one of them for Ninian. Still not doing the rally defence maps, and still mostly not caring about my arena score (good thing too cus my scores this week are dismal, my team is prime range for Brave Lyn/Reinhardt/Axzura, which is just the worst)

Enjoying the TT a little more, Ethlyn is actually doing really well, and I decided to just keep running my -att L'Arachel. She's eqiupped with ploys, and the +res helps with that. Looking forward to the forging bonds again. And with the barracks change, I've been completing the GHB quests, which are a FUN challenge, opposed to a frustrating one.

- Splitting orbs between banners is the worst. Esp. if you have terrible luck like me. I hope you get at least one of the units you want! I've been investing in some of the GHB units, since they seem to continue to come up in the bonus unit rotation. Valter this week doesn't have any merges though, it's kind of killing my arena score, but meh.

At lest I got one group of leveling units maxed on the side ( though needed to give Leo a boost)

- You can do it! I got to 50k today, and I've been doing nothing but the 3 for the daily quests. (although, I did power through the first two days to 25k to get more orbs...)

You know you could train units using the TT right? It's actually cheaper to train them once they are level 25 or so in the TT cus you get 3-5 maps for the stamina cos of 2 in the training tower. If training team dies, use the next set of units that need training for the second team.

- Work's been killing me recently, and I'm still rather upset about having to 'break up' with one of my friends a few weeks ago, but I'm trying to stay positive too. I have a mini-vacation coming up soon, and I keep telling myself the extra days and long shifts at work will make the vacatoin more enjoyable, and I'll have more spending cash for gifts and souveneirs etc. Just gotta keep thinking of those positive and not dwelling on the negatives. :)

They are some wise words C: It's been quite nice to take a step back though, so I hope that I wasn't too grumbly. When I look at my barracks and my heroes roster and the HM that I've collected I've realised that I have over 100 5* units... I don't /need/ any more because I already have a ton that I don't really use but I remember being desperate for at the time (hello flying dancer Olivia and Dancing Elincia)

So my focus now is to enjoy using the units I was desperate for (and spent a lot of money on) before stressing out and trying to get more that I won't use C: That way I can hopefully save for the characters I really want without breaking the bank.

At the moment I am doing my TT quests and working on the GHB quests too now that Barracks space is not a worry. I'm also looking forward to the new Forging Bonds, and I'm glad they made that tweak with the orbs.

I got a Eldigan from my free summon on the Nohr banner... can't complain. I am also sure that the game knows I have resolved to have a no spend September/October/November/December because I did a summon and got 4 blues and a green... I ended up pulling the green to raise my pity rate and ended up with Brave Ephraim...! I think I actually squeaked when he popped up. I am completely grateful, but when I think about the orbs I spent on his banner... I don't care how you try to sweet talk me Game, I'm not spending any more on you XD

I'm up to 65 Orbs. I am making a vow to only spend them on the following units: Hector, Scarlet, Pelleas, Bruno, Hrid, Ylgr, or any Laguz if we get them. possibly Halloween units depending on who they are and what they are dressed as. (like I would probably throw down a lot of orbs for Halloween Nino or Rebecca)

- Ethlyn. :) I trained her pretty quickly in TT, physic + horse allows her to get to pretty much anywhere to heal. Had to baby her a few rounds, but once she got to 30 or so, I could just AB with her (with no weapon equipped) and now that she's 40, I gave her her Fear+ Wrath staff to throw around.

I think you mean Nino? Nina is the new archer (5* only). Too many similar weird 'N' names in FE.
