"spotted south of SAI HQ" means that Merana can be seen on the Subeta Explore Map right underneath the SAI Headquarter.

I have made a screenshot for you that will hopefully help you: Click here to see the image.

If you click on Merana on the Map it will lead you to the page where you can start the Hydrus Quest for one of your Pets.

I haven't been on Subeta in a long time and I have the secret map to her location and when I tried going to her and couldn't find her I got a little worried, I didn't realize she was traveling now? So I'm really glad I found this thread, thanks everyone! :)

... I thought she appeared. :/ I potioned my hydrus paralix into a common mahar when I saw the group ping, then I went to check the map and she wasn't there.

This ping was not cool.

Please don't ping the group unless Merana is actually on the map. The group is supposed to get pinged when someone sees Merana on the explore map.
