dude what im so honoured what the hell, i never even step off the avatar contest threads so being mentioned somewhere else took me completely by surprise, thank you so much omg (also i love the clothes combo on your current avatar, i never would have expected that shawl to work with the skirt and the sleeves but you make them look like they were made for each other)

uh since im here anyway lemme yell at two avatar creators that i really admire

is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to making unique, diverse faces and characters for every single avatar they create. i think a lot of us avatar makers get sort of pigeonholed into making delicate anime faced avatars with tiny noses and cute features and eventually get scared to try anything else in case it produces a less "attractive" result, but egbert proves it doesnt have to be that way. only 1 out of 24 avatars theyve submitted to style file has a default nose, and that doesnt in any way prevent them from standing out as gorgeous, interesting, well coordinated designs — in fact, their strong features steal the show.

ive been gushing over avedis's avatars for ages now. their colour palettes are phenomenal and they have a knack for precision placement of key items to ensure they use only exactly as many items as they need on each avatar. the cosmic dust analyzing satellite is one of the most intimidating wearables on subeta for me just cause ive seen it used to stunning effect so many times, but avedis owns their place at the top of that list because of how cleanly and strategically they incorporated it into their own take on it, making it look almost effortless.

omg, this is such a wonderful thread!! there are so many gorgeous and unique ways of sculpting fashion using HAs on here, it's always good to have a reminder of that!!

that being said, there are a couple people i'd like to shout out to whose avatars i really love, for being fun and inspiring both!

firstly, - her creativity is always really evident in her avatars. i find they have really solid silhouettes and shapes, with lots of great use of colour which i am a huge fan of!!

secondly, - who makes SUCH good monster avatars which i have a lot of love for as a category. body modification items are hard to work with but they take their success with them to a new level and it's awesome.

ahh you're so nice ;o; tbh i mostly just throw some stuff of a vaguely similar color palette on and play the elimination game, then repeat with whatever other colors i add cx you use makeup and different skin tones so well though, oh my gosh, i wish i was that good at using face items!! plus with all the weird bulky stuff that you use, everything you make is so visually interesting, it's awesome and i could never in a million years think up ways to make some of those items that pretty. i think this one is my favorite out of the ones on your sf, it's so delicate but also incredibly colorful and vibrant and the subtleties of it just make it perfect ❤️

you cutie stop itttt ;A; you have such a clean pretty style, i don't even know how you do it, you manage to look super pretty with like 8 items when i can't do it with under 15. like i love this and this so inordinately much, they're soft and delicate and gorgeous and have so few items clothing-wise, it's so nice!! your style in general is super elegant and i love it _

also gonna toss out a couple more people who are gorgeous c: okay you're just too cute and you know it cx i'm not sure what your style is exactly but it's gorgeous and i've never really seen anyone who makes outfits like yours, you manage to make gory alien monsters and also delicate pretty girls and i just. how. you're actual magic and ily ❤️ a lot of my favorite outfits of yours aren't on sf but out of the ones that are i think these two are my favorites!

you just. how do you even. you're an actual color goddess, this is a legit thing. i also haven't ever really figured out how you manage to look just as adorable with 6 items as you do with 27 because i cannot do that whatsoever and you're just over there like c: you look fierce and crazy and delicate and soft and dazzling and adorable and just like literally every adjective ever because i promise at least 8 of them apply to every single outfit of yours i've ever seen. you can also mix fantasy-esque stuff and casual/realistic clothing incredibly well, which is a thing that i don't really ever see. and from what i can tell, you've always been super cute? like this and this are 2013 and they're still some of the cutest things, but these two are some of the most precious things ever too. ❤️

and also !! you tend to be super casual or like. major fantasy. but they both work so well!! and your colors are amazing, oh my gosh. like i would never think of pairing these colors but honestly that's gotta be one of my favorite outfits ever. you also tend to use items that i'm like 'uhhhh' about and then i'm like 'alright i kinda need that', like this outfit definitely made me want to fail at using that ridiculous shoulder thingamabob (like what even is that, it's not a bolero at that point anymore but what is it) and this, i just. that hair is.. how. but you also make so many just neutrally cute and adorable outfits like this one that i honestly don't know how you manage between all the colors, and they're all super nice ❤️

also seconding because you guys are gorgeous and i tend to love your outfits a lot!! i wish i had time to write lil novels for everyone cause you have such beautiful styles, just know that you're incredibly cute ❤️❤️
