How cold? It's been a consistent -25 here.

It turned out better than I thought. I think there's something stuck to the bottom of my oven that was burning because my loaf definitely was not burnt at all.

Thanks for asking! I actually met with her and the owner last week to figure out what's going to happen.. and I'm going to be splitting my time. So I'll do 3 days a week at the one I've been at for the last year to be able to still accommodate the clientele I've made and then on Sundays and Mondays I'll be at the old location (which is just a walk from our new apartment!).

So I guess I'm kind of considered an assistant manager to both locations. Meeting with the manager of my old location in the next week or 2 to discuss what I'll be taking off her hands. She's so overwhelmed and happy for me to come and help her out.

I'm definitely anxious about the change. I've been rolling along for a year now pretty well fully booked and that's going to take a drastic turn I think. I'm definitely going to be asking for a raise, actually. I think I proved myself this year and deserve a bit more.

I would be a little anxious myself. Luckily you aren't completely leaving your new store and lose all your clients. Will you be able to get back any of your old clients back at your old store? YES! You deserve one for sure!

I wasn't at the old location long enough to really build up a clientele, no. So I'll create a new one.. but at my current location it's much smaller and there's less rooms available so it's like having 2 people someone is always sitting with nothing to do unless a manicure or pedicure books. It'll just be a lot quieter for me than it is now. I just hope it doesn't affect my pay much

It'll just take a few months before the girls figure out how to book the day appropriately and maybe for clients to know that there are finally 2 of us again and there's more opportunity to get in for an appointment.

The old location I should be busy enough, though! New challenges, yay! Can't wait to not be the point person anymore though. I have a receptionist who makes my life a living hell and soon she won't be texting meeeeeeeeeeee

LOLLLLLLL! high fives I know exactly how you feel! I had to run the place while my boss was on medical leave TWICE this year. She is finally back thank goodness, because I couldn't handle it anymore XD

I'm happy to be moving to another location.. almost like starting fresh in terms of my management style. Right now I let the girls walk all over me I think. I'm not firm enough. :/

Complaining about another staff member.. and she's sick all the time (or at least claims to be). She really struggles with mental health so it's a delicate situation. I think there needs to be a mix of bossiness but approachable. It's really hard. I LOVE that HA

Haha no flipping out surprisingly. Mr. B does great when you put on a cone or his sweaters. For being a stray dog once that we knew nothing about, he's actually very obedient. We bring him indoors at night to get out of the cold. But having his cone on makes him want to stay in longer. Lol. He looks at me like "please don't send me outside like this". xD
