Try it again :D this should not happen for the time being. It was basically a function of the firewall that is put up in the cases of a ddos or something like that. So if it happens again, the firewall will be put back up.

Hey there, I'm kinda new to this topic so just let me know if there's anything I should know. You're getting the captcha thing when you attempt to submit the profile, correct? If you use the new "Preview Profile" link (at the bottom, right above the submit button) does that bring you to the same captcha?

The preview is supposed to open in its own new tab. Is that the page that you get the captcha on - the new tab? And if so, what happens when you complete the captcha?

I'm only asking about the preview right now, sorry if that was unclear. I already understand what happens when you try to edit it for real. Just to clarify, the preview goes through and shows correctly after you complete the captcha?

Ah don't worry about it!

I just made a little change to the page to try something... Could you now try editing the profile again (real thing, not the preview) and complete the captcha it brings you to? After you complete the captcha, it should bring you back to the edit page. There, check and see if your changes made it through.

Okay, that sheds some light on the situation, but it means what you were telling me before doesn't add up. I thought you said your changes were not going through when you edited the profile, but that the preview was working correctly?

What should be happening is that both pages take you to a captcha, but after completing the captcha, it should proceed correctly (showing the correct preview on the preview page, or saving your changes on the edit page) Are you sure it was not saving your changes before, after you did the captcha?

Anyway, I undid the change so the page is back to how it was. I just dug up some old code I had that gave me this problem before, and when I tested it now, it did save it correctly after I finished the captcha, so I feel like we may have had a misunderstanding?

Does the code go through after you complete the Captcha? (Both for the preview page, and the actual edit page)

We're not able to disable the Captcha, but as long as it's saving your changes then it's not a problem anymore - just a minor inconvenience. What it used to do (when this thread was made) was give the Captcha but NOT save the profile text at all, so that you couldn't edit your profile at all. As long as it's saving it now, it's the best we can do at the moment.

(Something about the inputs are triggering the Cloudflare security Captcha. But we can't disable it unfortunately because it would disable security on other parts of the site too.)

This can probably be locked as it sounds like it's not a problem anymore - The Captcha may still be happening but the profiles are going through now.
