I do understand how that is. There is a reason I do not have a shop nor open a thread. Or even forum much ^.^ Keep going oh wait and another thing, dash it all. That said, I get some Q's sometimes from people venturing into CW land, will be nice to have a point-to ^.^
I'm hoping it can become a resource for folks :)
I almost didn't see this (I won't always go back and check for edits, it's best to ping again if you've got a question that way I or someone else can for sure catch it!). The answer is, unfortunately, yes. If the item was locked into their shop before they quit or were frozen, there is no way to purchase them unless the account is unlocked (because they came back or whatnot). You can still buy if the user is frozen and the items are unlocked though :)
Ahhh, this is really helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this guide together!
Being able to see the steps it takes for CWs to get onto the site is nice, and it's different than what I expected. I kinda guessed that the item was already paid for once slots were opened, and those interested were just paying the artist/releaser for the cost of the copy of the item.
This is incredible. I really love how the cw community is coming together to take the initiative to essentially take control, clarify/explain what cws and its community are all about. c:
You and are just so amazing for doing what you have been the past few days. Thank you! ^_^
Ahh I see...hopefully I can come across someone selling it then. Thank you for the answer (and sorry about editing, I had been the last post at the time and didn't know if I should rewrite it >.<)
I'm glad this guide and the others are helping! Can I ask if you'll link to some of the new guide threads in your main post on the CW/Pawn thread you have open? It's fine if you don't want to, but I think it would help so people don't have to scroll through to see the information :)
It's possibly something that could have been done sooner, but I think none of us wanted to overstep. But there's been a lot of misconceptions that apparently have run rampant for people not very active in the community and hopefully the new guides can help address some of that as well as make the community more accessible.
There's been a whole mess of folks working to get out guides and groups to help, so we couldn't have done it without all of them!
No problem! If you find yourself with the last post but need more info, can delete the ping you made (leaving your post) and click to save editing. Then just re-edit and add the ping back in. It will ping the person again for you!
Feel free to comment me with the item name of that item you're seeking if you want any information on it, I may be able to help or point you to someone else who can!
You can ask! I went ahead and linked your guide in my first post. Hopefully that will help answer any questions the general public may have. :3
Woohoo, thank you! Great guide, and hopefully this will make it easier for all newbies to the CW market. :)
Also, I noticed one small typo in post 3 ("comparisson" instead of "comparison") ;p

Thank you very much.
Thank you! Both for the compliment and the typo catch! I typed the posts out in notepad and it doesn't spell correct (so it doesn't catch when a key sticks) haha.
Thank you so very much! It wouldn't have been possible without all the help and awesome guides and resources everyone has been putting out too!
- Thank you so much for all your hard work!! This is very useful!! :D
This is wonderful, not for only newbies, but people like me, who are so forgetful, and impulsive where CW are concerned. Thank you Reaper and anyone else who helped you.
Ahh thanks for letting me know about this! and for all the explanations you've been giving me. :')
Thank you, OP and co., for writing up the guide! Brownie points for the fantastic organization of the Google doc. ;p
Thank you! I'm glad it's helping folks!
this guide is amazing omg ;______;
The only thing I could maybe suggest is maybe adding just a few screenshots here and there? It might be easier to visualize if only two or three steps when there's a visual indicator
(and I see this but I know it's long to take screenshots and note them, feel free to not listen to me haha ;__; )
Amazing job bb ❤️
Thank you! I'm sure I missed things but I can't for the life of me figure out what at the moment.
I think I'll take up a user on their offere to do screenshots as I am not even sure how I'd do them in a way that made sense but I totally get the suggestion haha.
Which, while I'm at it actually, if you happen to have screenshots that you think would work for any of the sections, please do let me know. I'm gonna see if I can work them into the guide as a visual aid :) (feel free to mail me!)
Just checking in for a few minutes now, but will mail them to you later. :)
Awesome, thank you so much and no rush! I'm going to go pass out finally haha. And then work all night tomorrow :( Have a good night!
I'm gonna make a request for this thread and also for the CW Public Ping Group Directory - would it be possible to see these stickied so they're easy to find and don't disappear in the rest of the discussion threads? If not I understand, but it would be very helpful for keeping track.
thank you so much for your guide.... I just submitted my first CW and I was trying to understand if I got a copy AND my shop got copies....and reading your side note about direct to shops answers that...I get 1 copy which would be for my artist (unless they don't want it) In this case I lucked out as my artist didn't want a copy and I just paid extra for the item LOL but now I won't have to buy it myself :)
For the direct to shop....if I'm understanding if I submitted as unlimited, I still can go in at any time and list only "20" and or lock/unlock my unlimited items at any time right?
I'm kind of disappointed that if we list an item for 600 csc and we paid the full cost we are only getting a tiny portion of it lol =/ You'd think you'd get the full amount from your shop. Would you happen to know the base cost for bottoms/aka tights? I submitted under the 2k category and it cost me 1.5k lol :)
Also, once you submit an item how long does it take to get approved or is there a way to check on status? :) Thank you and sorry for all the questions :)
Join my ping group to get notified of new wears. Buying mage amulets for 5 csc each, comment me to sell.
