Gaia watched it all happen and was so happy for Magnus and Kat ( ). Nothing made her heart smile more than her friends happy. "Okay that is enough of that lovey stuff. We need food and music for a Ravenclaw style party. Has anyone seen Aderyn ()?" Gaia turned her attention to Mac () "Sometimes it is just a matter of how your power is and develops, but practical Divination helps channel your own ability. It is a matter of patience and practice." She grinned and went back to her acid pop while petting Chase.

Magnus laughed at Gaia's comment and plopped himself down in a chair, hoping Kat would sit beside him.

Sisley wandered over to the food table, and gave a little smile to the House-elf as thanks, she had heard of these wonderful creatures but never seen one, and meant to ask someone about them as soon as she got the chance. She had noticed Mac hadn't gotten any food and so put an extra couple of bits on her own plate, then walked over and plonked herself down near to Mac. "Hello, Im Sisley, you can call me sis if you like, I hope you dont mind, I noticed you've not got anything to eat so Ive brought us some food to share, I guess a lot of it will be strange to you being from South America?" Says Sis offering the plate to Mac. "I love your rooster, whats his name? he looks very docile, the ones on my farm think they own the place! Ive brought a little sheep with me from home, he follows me everywhere so I'm fretting that hes been left in the stables, I'm going to go see him again before bed if you want to come? I'm sorry I'm chattering on, its what I do when I'm tired or nervous, and tonight I'm both".

Aderyn breezed into the common room after dozing off on her bed for a while. She'd been busy all break with readings and activities, and she'd curled up for a nap earlier and had only just awakened. Throwing some comfy clothes on, she'd fixed up her hair and run down the stairs to the common room, waving at all of the others. Spotting , she rushed over to the group the girl was surrounded by and grinned.

"Hey guys! How is everyone?"

"About time! I was wondering when you would join us!" Gaia said to her friend as she hugged her. ()

Aderyn blushed, grinning wryly.

"I dozed off! I couldn't help myself. Maybe a little food will perk me up! I'll be right back."

She nipped over to the refreshments table and picked up a glass of pumpkin juice and a few nibbles, rushing back over to .

"So, what did I miss?"

((OOC sorry guys, tonight it is me battling the migraine. I'm not ignoring you. I'm going to take something for this headache and go relax a bit. Hopefully I feel better soon))

"I have been spacing out a bit. I need to work on my planner for the term. There is a lot going on and I already don't know what day it is!" Gaia grinned at her friend. "Magnus got an awesome gift though!"

Magnus was half paying attention when Gaia mentioned his gift and he blushed and looked solidly at his feet. The amazing quilt in his arms lovingly.

Aderyn agreed wholeheartedly with .

"I've got to get organized, too. We can work on our planners together if you'd like!"

She turned to face Magnus ( ), examining the quilt in his arms. Her eyes lit up and she beamed at him.

"It's wonderful! That took a lot of love to make! Who'd you get it from?"

Gaia grinned at Aderyn and bent over to grab her messenger bag "Glad you said that! I got us Muggle planners! I wasn't sure what you would like so I got you a fairy cover! Mine is an owl riding a unicorn of course." Gaia handed the coiled planners to Aderyn and pulled out a plastic case with pens, highlighters and lots of stickers." I figured we could do some of it Muggle style!" ()

Magnus smiled, "Kat. She sent all the squares out and everyone signed or drew and so on--then Paul, the auror who 'elps us in some of the classes--well 'is wife sewed it all together. There's your square right there," Magnus pointed to hers. "And there's Gaia's square." He smiled so warmed. Then he set it down and ran off to his dorm, coming back with two parcels. He handed one to Gaia. It was a book about her family's line and a huge supply of acid pops. He then handed the gift to Aderyn it was a book on advanced potion making for healers and a gold Tinkerbell necklace.

Gaia just stared at Magnus () "Is this what I think it is? I knew there were a few books about my family but we didn't have them all! My dad will be so happy!" Gaia looked at Magnus with tears in her eyes "You are the best! These Acid Pops will last me about 3 weeks!" Gaia grinned and wiped her eyes then she got up and tackled Magnus almost making them both fall and roll around the floor. "Sorry!" Gaia was giggling.

"Yeah, 'ope you like it. You're wel--" he started then his friend nearly toppled him, "come." He laughed, "You're so weird."

Everil watched as the two shared an embrace. She looked over at Aderyn who, as herself, was watching the friends' sweet exchange. Her fingertips strummed at the coils of her new planner absentmindedly. As they hadn't yet met, Everil smiled at her and introduced herself. "You know," she said a few moments later pointing at the planner in Aderyn's hand, "you can actually charm them so they tell you what you have scheduled for the day. It will even yell out at you if you forget something." She giggled. "It's almost like an alarm. Well, sort of."

Aderyn reached out and touched the quilt Magnus held, stroking the soft fabric of all of the sewn-together squares in admiration.

"It's a wonderful job," she said warmly. "I hope it lasts you forever! Then you'll never forget any of us, even long after Hogwarts!"

She gratefully accepted the gifts from both and Magnus () and squealed, looking through everything. She was in awe at the cover of the planner, and so psyched for the potions book that she wanted to drop everything and read it right then and there, but she refrained. Engulfing both of her friends in a hug, she pulled them in for a tight embrace.

"Thank you both! I love these!"

Evirl was talking about charming a notebook and Magnus thought that sounded like an annoying thing to have around. But he didn't want to be misunderstood so he kept his mouth shut.

The boy beamed at Aderyns reaction. "You're welcome. 'Ope you enjoy it."

Aderyn smiled as a girl she hadn't previously been introduced to gestured to her planner.

"That's a brilliant idea! I'm Aderyn, by the way!"

She held her hand out to the new girl. Once they'd shaken hands, she turned to Magnus again.

"I'm going to love it, I just know it! I'll be up late into the nights this term brewing potions in the cover of darkness so I can practice and get a leg up on more healing magic for the future!"

Mac smiled at Sissy and introduced herself. "I'd love to see your little sheep. I've never seen one before! Where I come from it is simply too hot for sheep. We had a cow, a goat and a pig, though. And I have Zapata, of course," she said gesturing to the still sleeping rooster. "Don't be offended if he attacks you. He can actually be quite a monster. In fact, I should probably just run back to my room and pop him in his cage before he wakes up and starts some kind of trouble!"

She scooped up the sleeping rooster and walked him back to her room. Once she had popped him into his cage and securely latched the door she paused.

Probably by the other students' standards the room was simply a pleasant room, but it was the most luxurious room Mac had ever set eyes on. Tentatively, she poked the pillow, and was nearly overwhelmed by its softness. She could not imagine how she could sleep on such a thing.

She grabbed one of the sweaters Magnus had gifted her, and hurried back to the Common Room. She could not wait to meet the little sheep!
