least favorites: aeanoid, bovyne, charlie, harvester, ghostly, dilemma, fester, lasirus, malticorn (in my 8 years here i've always loathed the way the horn comes out of the hair??) and zasaba.

am i horrible? i think i'm just super picky. has nothing to do with the art, just some strange preferences i can't really describe. it's just like.. "mm, yes, no, yes...ehh.."

Favorite: Well, I always liked the Montre. Even though I wasn't crazy about the revamp, I still like the demeanor, and its special colors tend to appeal to me.

After that, the Fester comes to mind. Some of the special colors can be hit or miss to me, but just the common variants look pretty good to me. And idk, I like birds in general, but vultures seem more interesting to me than the type of bird Lain is, for example (even though I like Lains as well).

Noktoa is pretty nice as well, though it is true they aren't the most expressive... and that's not a problem the Fester tends to have, which might be one reason I still prefer them.

Oh, and the Sheeta. I even have three common-posed ones. It's just really cute, but also a little... coy? Like it's not just cute. And it also has some elegance to it.

Meanwhile, there are some "cute" species I don't like much, like the Ruffie or Popoko. Yeah, they get a spot on the dislike-list.

Hard to pick which one I dislike the most, though. There's quite a few I don't care for, but their existence don't offend me... well, maybe the Chai, because it reminds me about a disagreement I had with a friend (who liked the Chai). I might go with the Bovyne, though. I just... cannot see myself ever wanting a cow-pet. Although at least the Nightmare Bovyne looks cool...

Then there's the Swampie, which really isn't very interesting at all.

Oh, Experiment is pretty terrible. Not sure if a revamp could even salvage it from the lack of appeal.

I like Irions, Cadogres, Legeicas, Lasiruses and Lains all a ton. They're all just really workable as pet concepts for me, honestly. I've found myself liking Aeanoids more and more as they accumulate in my account due to a lack of other cephalopod-like species. The different colors have a lot of personality, and they're honestly pretty cute. (Blacklight/Spectrum Aeanoid when? :VVV I need Aori to be one asap.)

There's a lot of species I don't like, though...

• Ruffies, Feli, Jollins and Popokos are usually just too overly-cutesy most of the time; my prime example of this is the Spectrum/Blacklight Jollin, yuck. I think the only exceptions are Storm and Reborn Jollins, and Glacier Popokos.
• Pherrets are fairly close on that spectrum, but not as much. The Reborn one fits something perfect for me, and the Graveyard one is hilariously clever to me, but everything else has either too boring a pose or is too cutesy.
• Bovyne just look like normal cows with weird horns and just don't have awful much creativity going on with them-- they're really overshadowed by other hoofed species, especially Neelas and Legeicas.
• Waradors + Dillema are really, really limited in character potential, and just.. I dunno, the "possessed plush toy" idea isn't interesting to me either. It's fun when it's a weird instance (MSPP, anyone?) but when it's a whole species, it seems boring.
• And Torrents are just-- their weird faces (those eyes just?? aren't fish-y at all?) and overall plainness make me really dislike them. I wish there were more interesting fish pet species, there's so much diversity to take inspiration from in the real world... :

They may not be very popular with others, but I adore the Swampies (have two of them :D) I guess when I came here and saw them they just made me think of Lapras. Also the endeavors and cadogres, yup, have two of each of those too XD the robot pets just look so striking to me. Next would be the experiment pets, the more scary and gross, the better LOL No, I don't have two of those, I have 3 XD

Least favorite, I would have to say Bovyne and Devonti. I've just never been able to get into the general look of them, and they're not species I could ever see myself working with sadly.

Favourite: Legeica, Harvester Least fave: Clawsion, Hipottu

I'd have to say my favorite species would have to be Felis, Endeavors, Jollins, Bumbii Kerubi, Kora, Neela, Noktoa, Sheeta... and, of course, Kumi (as if you couldn't tell from all my pets =X). I would think my number one favorite would be the Feli considering I'm a huge feline person IRL but I think I chose the doggie because 1. It has all the colors already and 2. The poses are just gorgeous!!

My least favorite? Hm... Maybe the darkonite and swampie. I like the idea behind the two but they are just the base pets when zapping and after doing that for a few years, I just can't stand the look of them anymore. I think they are the main reason I completely stopped with the zapper in the first place.

Favourite pets:

Kumos and Jollin - As a canine lover, I both love the Kumos and Jollin. The kumos was the first pet I've had when starting Subeta and as a wolf lover, it's definitely one of my favourites! The jollin is quite a fun pet in all its colours, it's very tempting to have more than a few of them!

Ontra - I love otters and I always tend to have at least one otter-like pet in whatever I do. Sadly, they weren't the most interesting of pets earlier on but ever since their revamp, they're one of the most beautifully designed/colourful of pets so they're also another pet that's tempting to have them all!

Tigrean - Same with the ontra, ever since their revamp they've become a beautifully designed pet. Many of the new colours and revamps look amazing!

Paralix - Eastern-eqse dragons have appealed to me a lot and especially at the time of discovering subeta, these pets are what have made me join subeta in the end.

Least favourite pets:

Warador and Harvester - I've never been keen on pets that appear human-like as I don't see them as pets. I don't mind the creativity with the harvester though but they're both pets that I wouldn't have

Torrey - I don't have much against the torrey, but it's a pet that often blends too much compared to the other pets available. There are some nice colours but I feel that there isn't anything outstanding from this pet in my opinion.

Bumbus - Although not so much a least favourite now but I didn't like the look of it when it first came out as it didn't look like a pet that came from this site (being very cutesy and all). I've grown to adjust to them now (the new angelic and vibrant are pretty amazing!).

Why do i love Montre's so much? I don't understand. I think they're just...so elegant! A close second favorite would have to be either Neela or the Mahar.

As for leasts, I don't like the Bumbus or the Warador very much. The Illumis would be close behind as well because I'm not sure, giant bugs just get to me I guess :p

Favorite: hipottu, bhakoru, ontra, telenine, and illumis. I love them all so much! Least favorite: antlephore. Art quality? Amazing. That face though. I know it's a staple of the species and everything, but... it just looks so out-of-place and childish amidst the beautiful art. The goofy stylized o_0 eyes don't suit the quality of the recent antlephore art at all, and for me it just makes the species sort of frustrating. There are several other species I can't see myself ever owning (the nonanimals and robotic ones, mainly), but that's just due to an inability to work with that sort of design. No other species really bothers me, design-wise, and I usually can appreciate at least a few colors for each pet.

Favorite: Archans, most all the felines, canines and dragons to some extent, but the Archans dominate my family of pets. Least favorites: Aeanoid, Bumbus, Ghostly, Hipottu, Swampie, and Tutani

Favorite: Irion, actually, though I only have the one as it did use to be Montre/Kumos. But I just adore Irion art, sadly I can never think of characters that fit the theme. Devonti is next, I think they're adorable.

Least Favorite: Clawsion. While I could list others due to art issues, I feel like that is what is keeping them back from being more popular. Clawsion just feels like an extra bear-cat-wing.....thing.

Not counting Experiment pets, my favorite species is probably Ghostly. They're just all so cute to me ❤ (I also really like Telenines 'cos they're so cute and derpy looking, but I don't have one because I can't ever think of a good character for one :(

My least favorite is Manchu just because I don't like primates much.

Favorites: Keeto and Jollin, because I adore foxes. The Ontra is third, because of how adorable they are.

Least Favorites: Swampie, Tutani, and Bovyne.

My favorite species has to be the Neela. My first pet was an Antlephore because I love deer, and Neelas look like they're one step up from the Antlephore derpiness. (Sorry, Antlephores, still love you!)

Every species has at least one color I wouldn't mind owning, but I'm not that jazzed about the Cadogre or the Endeavor. They just look so stiff and...uncomfortable? Don't know how to explain it.

Oh man, I'm torn between Felis and Ontras. As for least favorite, eehh, the Tutanis are kind of disappointing--I always wondered what their little wing tails were supposed to accomplish.

Favorites: Kumos, Telenine, Darkonite, Devonti, Jollin, Sheeta. Gosh, they're all so pretty, and that Darkonite revamp is NICE. I am absolutely in love with all the special Devonti colors, Tele and Kumos have a special place in my heart.

I've become Neutral about the Montre, although they used to be a favorite. I mean, I HAVE one, but they've certainly changed.

Least favorites: Noktoa? They look so different from every other pet on the site? I don't know if that's just me, though. Mortiking, Serpenth, Harvester, Ghostly, Warador, Swampie. Meh.

The Telenine has always (and likely will continue to be) my favourite pet on this site. I love all the artwork, and I'm always a sucker for canine-esque pets. I also really love the Montre, Celinox, Jollin, Tigrean and Keeto.

I'm not a huge fan of the Charlie, Harvester, Ghostly, Magnus, Warador and Mallarchy. There are colors of all of these pets that I like, I just don't think I would ever own one.

Least favorite: Torrey/Charlie Favorite: Zasaba/Zentu/many of the experiments

Favorite is Aeanoid, by far! I'm only missing a few more :D I also really like Demis, Escalades, and Celinoxes although I don't own any. Donadak is pretty high up there too now that I know they're made of rocks!

Least favorite is probably Antlephore because they look like a complete joke of a pet :x I have one that a love, but Glacier looks the most serious of them all imo.
