Hullo, everyone! I hope everyone has been doing well, but I know I've been in a funk lately and that I'm not the only one! I'm not really the kind of person to divulge the inner workings of my 'REAL LIFE' after a certain degree so I won't go into much detail about what's been bothering me except for the things I mentioned in my application! Cyclical lifestyle, bored at work and the patterns. Or I need more complicated patterns! XP

Got my skink and despite some horrible shipping and loosing the damn thing on the first day -see the harrowing gasp worthy story in our forums XD - he's now munching happily on wet dog food in his new tank yay and I'm officially officially a aunt, sis finally had the kid woot.

Congratulations ! I hope your sis and niece are doing great, and same to you and the skink! haha

Haha, that's true enough ! I just feel in need of an enrichment program much like an animal in a zoo. So yes, complicated...in a way!

• Pollination Day is upon us! The next Pollination event will be happening from September 5 - 10! This means you got three weeks to prepare yourself for this event, if you wish to participate! Don't forget that the Pollination and Top Pollinator Hive Ranks will be available once again!

What will these staff positions entitle you to do?

• Interviewer

  Works closely with Tinkerbell to select a Featured Member, and is in charge of setting up a date with the nominated member for an interview, which we'll then feature in the announcements and the member's very own special thread. Featured Member happens once every three months, so you can work around this timeline to schedule it into your agenda. However, we request you have at least a an hour per day during the month prior to the Interview being due to check who will be selected, and once you set up a date with the nominee, to have enough time to not rush the interview.
• Celebrations Committee

  Works closely with Silvy to celebrate two very special days of each of our members: their Birthdays & Unique Anniversaries. This staff member creates a topic to celebrate them in the forums, pinging on the Subeta thread using # beeday, and provides members with a gift on behalf of Unique. Finally this position also helps assist in the planning and implementation of the annual Anniversary event in May. If you're interested, please make sure to have at least the following time to dedicate: one day per month to plan birthday & anniversaries gift requests, a few minutes up to an hour to log in a few days prior to the celebration date to create their threads, and on the celebration day to send gifts and ping on the Subeta thread using # beeday.

The job descriptions for interviewer and celebrations committee may sound like a lot, but trust me they are pretty simple and fun! You will always have people willing to help if you have questions / problems as well. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

I would have applied to be the celebrations committee, but I'm so overwhelmed already with planning for my wedding next year. Plus, I'm heading into my busiest time of the year with work (from September through May). I think my head may explode.

Morning my bees <3 Waffle is doing good so far wooot, thou I think with all the research I did, I still blundered and got the wrong sub species. This guy requires way more humidity then what I was expecting but least I know how to go about fixing it since I own several high humidity frogs and reptiles.

But needed to let everyone know that the sP Sprint has been moved to start tomorrow along with the Quest-A-Thon, because otherwise, if you wanted to participate in both, it would take 11 days of questing, and while it's totally doable, it's going to be very very tiresome (and probably overwhelming) lol

So excited the quest-a-thon matches up with this! I am def bringing my laptop on vacation now LOL

However I think it's great to pair it with the Q-A-T because the prizes are amazing so it's double benefit XD

Anybody watch the eclipse? We had solar glasses n wielding goggles from the lab, it was admittedly kinda neat to see :D we were about 90% full on eclipse.

No, I didn't get a chance to. :( I was in a meeting and now am busy at work. Our prime time is right now.
