I can say over and over ad nauseam that something is being looked into but honestly it won't matter to most since I am not the one fixing it. There have literally been threads before where I have posted and people still say that there is no staff communication on the board. And I am not speaking about any board in particular because there have been so many. I did post a lot more before and I can again but I feel that my time is better spent actually reporting. The forum stuff I hadn't made my own report because so many were posting about them in the update thread and I apologize for my part in that but I plan on rectifying that.

I actually think you communicate a lot with users and I appreciate your efforts. Where it becomes difficult is that you, as you said, are not the one capable of fixing things and so we definitely need a similar level of communication from the people who can. That isn't something you can control, either, but it's very frustrating.
I try where I can and I will continue. :) I do actually still post a lot but it tends to be on the ones that are fixed to let everyone know! xD

I just want my hard-earned forum stars back, mostly. But glad that staff are aware.
SELL ME FOOD PLS? 🡺 CLICK HERE 🡸Possibly. But that's only half the problem. It's good to know that they know about these problems, but I'd also like to actually see them fixed. I'm really disappointed to hear that this is considered a low priority issue with no plans to fix it any time soon. Going by what I've seen in the past, this means we'll probably have to wait a couple months at least.
And it makes no sense to me why we should have to wait that long for most of this. I can maybe understand that for the wishlisting, because Keith mentioned it might require a recode of the wishlisting system. That sucks, but ok. But how hard can it be to bring back previews, or to fix avatar likes?
Or look at the post numbers: Keith added those in almost immediately after I asked about it (which I really appreciate), but stopped short of finishing the project. 1-20 on each page doesn't really help anyone, and the fix to get the numbering to work across the entire thread is a really simple math trick. That shouldn't take any time at all, which is so frustrating to me.

I've just pushed fixes for a lot of the things on this thread.
I'm working on the WL items (that's a bigger fix) and mobile now. :)
[edit]
I think this is a really dangerous road to go down. Bringing back previews was actually hard, it required rewriting a piece of years old filter library that didn't output the filtered text (in this case, previews) in a way that could be transmitted over JSON. As we move more and more things to API requests rendered by javascript, that will be important.
The number of the post your on isn't as simple as just keeping a counter through a loop because of hidden posts and other quirks that some people (aka staff) can see that regular users can't.
So while I appreciate the lists and the feedback, I'd caution trying to guess how simple of a fix something is.

Yay! So glad to see that some of these issues are finally fixed! Especially the avatar likes!

Glad to see avatar hearts turning red again -- although they aren't turning red for me until I reload a page, but eh, better than nothing. Thank you for your hard work, guys (:
Yay! Thanks for the updates.
The hearts for avatar likes seem to already be 'selected' (pink/red) for everyone I've liked in however long, but it's not anyone I've liked (or even seen) today or yesterday or even last week. Like it's stuck or something.
Fair enough. I do try not to make too many assumptions, but it is frustrating when we don't know what's going on.
Thank you for the updates so far though.
PS, I don't know how it is for everyone else, but previews are showing the wrong base for me:

The HA hearts are now having the opposite problem for me. It seems to be defaulting to pink for nearly everyone, even people who I know I haven't liked their avatar recently (if ever).
Thank you for the updates/fixes so far. Also I'm very glad to see you're working on fixing the WL issue on forums (that is driving me bonkers haha).
Thank you for the fixes! n_n I know this has nothing to do with forums but I don't know if anyone has reported it? My HA in the Your Avatar widget on the dashboard appears to be off-center. It's not a huge deal or anything, but something I noticed the other day and figured I'd let you know in case no one else had or noticed.
~ CW Group ✰ CW Releasing Thread ✰ My CS ✰ CW Wishes ~just with regards to the "can't see ANY forums on mobile" issue https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/865028/Cant-read-single-post-anywhere-on-forumsfixed/2 Keith posted the issue had been 'fixed' on the 5th. many posts after that (including my own) said no, we still can't see literally anything on mobile even after a full week+, and the topic was locked with no reply and put in the "dismissed reports" section.
(I still can't see any posts /at all/ on mobile. /Still./ and the linked topic in the first post only confirms the issue is still very much present.)
that's a bit more important than avatar likes not working, imo.
so yes, more than a bit salty about this issue in particular.

a thing to add to the first post, since it affects the forums as well!: Unicode Characters no longer work
this has been an issue since the last server move, with unicode not working in forum ping alerts & titles (titles seem to be fixed for the most part). a lot of unicode characters just won't load on the forums (or they will upon posting, but once refreshing they revert to ?), but they will load in shop descriptions (CW & sP).
edit w/ an example:
the moon is a ?, but in the actual thread will show up:

i just now tested after weeks of having given up, and it SEEMS like unicode might work in the forums now-- i'm going to fiddle with this extensively in a sec tho!!
Same here. I liked one HA on this page and the heart stayed black. I refreshed the page and now a lot of them are pink, but not all. Weird... ???
Re: the avatar likes/hearts are reported as working but in reality you can only see them if you refresh the page. .. I feel like if you have to refresh a page for something to work that it's not actually working properly. When I hit the post like/heart button it changes right away. And it's also showing pink for avatars that I haven't 'liked/hearted' in days, maybe a week.
The avatar likes is a cache issue - your browser has cached likes.js and is loath to let it go, I've just pushed something to make it grab a new version :)
As far as the likes go, we're still trying to recover those but are having significantly less luck than we thought :( I'm not trying to ignore it, but and I have been going back and forth on using some combination of logs and haven't found anything that has really worked, but we're still on it!
