My favorite holiday treat is peppermint bark, it's been my favorite since I was a child. My mother and I always used to make a batch up and enjoy it while we open gifts!

It may be corny, but I love me some gingerbread cookies! Fun to decorate, good to eat!

I don't know if it counts as a treat, but every year on 24th december I make the russian salad, a dish that my mum loves (and it's like a gift I make for her). It's a "salad" with boiled and cooled potatoes, raw peppers, raw carrots, peas and a sauce with half mayonnaise and half yogurt. We eat it as a starter or a side dish for the Christmas lunch (and maybe dinner. and maybe 26th lunch. Every year I end making a LOT of salad, so we had a lot of leftovers). Not a winter-ish dish, but it's a "festive" thing and we love it. ❤️

Oh there are soooo many wonderful things this time of year. I guess I would have to say my favorite is the homemade cookies. I also love the gingerbread men/houses... I collect them and I have gingerbread ornaments on my tree :)

i just love the simple cookies my grandma makes :) i got the recipe last year and i will keep it safe forever ❤ they taste so good to me. she always decorated everyone - so everyone looked different and special. i loved the ones with cocolate snowmans on it c:
