Besides I received a package today that I ordered on Monday with two possible dresses for my graduation party at the end of July. I was afraid that I would look like a clown or a walking circus tent in them (I usually never wear dresses or skirts, I am a 100% jeans and sneakers person.) but they look surprisingly nice so I decided to keep both. Now I "only" need matching shoes which will be another tough battle because I cannot wear shoes with too high heels bcos of issues with my joints. But we'll see and if nothing helps I'm wearing sunflowers in my hair and go barefoot, haha

yay for chocolate! And I'm glad the dresses look good. I can totally relate to being a jeans and sneakers person! And as a country girl I see no problem with barefoot and sunflowers in your hair! :D

I am living in a small town at the coast where obviously everyone knows everyone but whatever, if I cannot find shoes I'm going to be the outsider. No shame, it's my last day there so I don't care what they're thinking. XD

If you don't want heels you could always go for cute mary janes or a ballerina flat. I've seen a few low heeled classic style pumps in black too.. or perhaps an ankle boot?? It all depends on the dress and what you would be more comfortable with. ^_^

I've bought clothes for a graduation party as well. The dress was pretty easy to find, but the shoes were a problem. I can't wear ballerinas(though I recommend them for everyone as they are comfortable) because no matter the size, my feet are too slim - so either the shoe is too small in the length or it's too wide. I've ended up buying closed toe pumps in black. The heel was quite high, but I could walk in them...however, as I'm a person who wears sneakers for the rest of the year, it was a relief to take them off. :'D I don't know how people can walk in high heels all the time. xd

There are cute women's oxfords and they can go well with some dresses. Some of them even have a small, but significant heel and can look very sweet and classic, plus you can still walk in them. (roughly 1 1/2" heel // 3,8 cm as I don't know where you're from. c: )

Like you suggested I was already considering ballerinas as well for the comfy part and to prevent any tragic clown moments that could happen to me while wearing high-heeled shoes. Never owned ballerinas so I'm not sure if my feet are able to pull them off (I have slim feet, too.) but I'll check that out next week when I have planned to go shopping for shoes and maybe some other stuff to go with the dress(es). still deciding which one I should wear

I really love the look of women's oxfords but for the dresses they sadly wouldn't be a good match.

I went shopping (stress, ugh) and found some nice ballerinas: Image here. Wore them with my dress, which is light blue and has a big brooch with white crystals at the waist, and they look good together. They even were on sale what was a nice bonus. (:

I have a question related to my Triwizard character by the way and I hope you guys can help me and that it's ok to ask it here! As some of you might know I created my Ilvermorny student Carlos Ortega for the Tournament. (Link to his chara file.) Now, I think I would like to bring him over to Hogwarts and based on his biography alone this would be no problem as well. and I also asked and they both said it would be alright. HOWEVER I am not sure if he would be usable for a Slytherin character. His mom was killed by a dark witch and he wants to become an Auror so I don't know if that would be a good match for Slytherin... What do you guys think? :o

As for Carlos I think he and Smith are adorable! I would really like to see you keep him, though Lynnie will be sad to see him leave Ilvermorny sniff She has quite the crush on him lol. As for him being Slytherin, I don't see why he wouldn't be. Slytherin are traditionally pure-blood, true, but all that changed after the Second Wizarding War. Our group has a vast mixture. My own Slytherin character, Drew, is half-blood and from the US. I think of Slytherin as smart, ambitious, a bit reserved, and loyal...all things that fit Carlos. Of course it's up to you but I would love to see him join our snakes! And Drew has a younger cousin, Flora, who will be joining Slytherin when we go back to playing just Hogwarts, so Lynnie might have some competition ;) Drew would like to hang with him as well. Seriously though, I would love the chance to rp more with Carlos; he's a good character!

I want you to feel free to put your characters in the houses you feel they best embody. Remember though that Harry's parents were killed by Voldemort and the Sorting Hat still wanted to put him in Slytherin.

I need to go through my Harry Potter books again, it's been so long since I've really had time for reading stuff not related to my studies.

So true! I reread the books three times already however one of my greatest talents is "book-related forgetfulness". If I'm watching a movie or tv show I remember almost everything for years however if I'm reading a book I remember the big plot around but at the same time I forget so many details short after that I can reread it and enjoy everything nearly as much as I did while reading it for the first time.

aww poor guy. Maybe they would be able to keep in touch via letters or something. And I am totally the same about not playing Ilvermorny after this term. I went into it doubtful and thinking, I don't want to be anyone but my slyterin character. But the writer in me was like oh, new character, this might be fun. And Bran has just taken over! :D of course Lynnie is shy, but she's growing on me too lol. You're welcome for my input such as it is. I'd be glad to help if and when I can. :)

No apologies needed. RL gets us all. My current issue is wifi being stupid and beyond slow for the last two nights, meaning I have to fight to get online and then it takes hours to write and post. I love my country living until the wifi acts up lol.

Good idea with the letters, they should defintely do that! I know that feeling so well! Used to make 2-player rpg with my sister and man, some OCs I created there grew on me like children. In some cases the connection is so deep that I cannot even really use the characters as Pets on Subeta. My prime example for that is Galahad. Based on his profile you might think he's just there to look shiny and fill the space but he is actually my oldest OC with a detailed biography and storyline. Writing it down for everyone to read just feels wrong though so he's only a name, an image and some tc items here. ^^;

I can ask the admins if it's ok to create an RP thread for Ilvermorny characters in the Slytherin forum during Seventh Term, if you guys are still interested then.
