...I thought I was done, until I realized the gifts I got for my mom I actually never finalized the payment online (just apparently got all the way up to that point I guess??) sooo now I have to go and get her completely different things since I have nothing for her.

I have my son done, my husband done and my sister. My husband just finished his last Friday and my son... doesn't shop yet. :) The only thing I have to do is mass mail the christmas cards and new pictures to everyone and maybe get a cat a stocking. That's it ^_^ I love being on the ball.

Ahahaha! I haven't even started yet and I've got a budget of roughly 50cents a person. Both my brothers just want cash (simple enough), I knew what I wanted to get mum but cant afford any of it, and never know what to get my step-father (usually I default to football themed things for lack of ideas).

Originally we were only going to put up our old ceramic tree and call it a day. No stocking or knick-knacks or anything else. But step-father threw a tantrum so we're getting a tiny little 12"-24" tree and hanging stockings. He still hates the idea of such a dinky little tree but we have no money to buy a real "properly sized" one and there's no space to set up the artificial one because its huge (the bottom-most ring of branches has like a 5 foot diameter; the thing is a beast).

On subeta I have 2 more people on my friends list that I need to finish gifting. And I've been thinking of clearing out some items I have laying around to send to random people who want them... And for real life, no, not even started... Barely have the tree up, even.

I still have so much to do! This week I need to shop with my dad to get everything else I need before we have a gift exchange with his side of the family over the weekend. I'm not gonna see my bf or my best friend until after Christmas but I need to get some last minute things for them too. So stressful!

Nope but we celebrate it with small gifts so it is no big deal if I don't get exactly what I want.

Nope - gotta deposit all my checks from work and start shopping! Eeeek!

The only thing I'm kind of freaking out over is this country's president-elect. I keep praying and hoping and begging that the electors do their job and elect someone who is NOT Trump. That...man...makes me afraid for the future. I get so depressed if I think too much about it.

That's probably the main reason I don't feel so celebratory this Christmas season. That and the fact that I'm broke. I'd like to get more for everybody, but I just can't afford much.

me too, like, i am not a christmas lover, in fact i cant wait till its over with, but i dont want anybody else to feel like that so i try to always buy things so they wont feel that way

Thankfully yes! Before, I thought I would have had all this past week to finish shopping for everyone, and then I remembered my mom's birthday was on the 20th, so I had to run out on the 19th and grab things for her, haha! Despite the fact that I'm done getting things for everyone I always feel like I'm forgetting something even when I know that I'm not...

I thought I was all done as I went to check the mail and my last gift arrived. It's supposed to be a print of a bunch of harry potter spells and the wand movements to do it, something she herself had shared the link to on facebook saying how much she loved it. But when I opened it up, it was such poor quality!! So I've decided to just recreate the piece myself. Thanksfully I have a few weeks before I'll see her again so I have plenty of time!

Other than her, I just ran out tonight to buy a last minute gift for my mom! With that I'm completely done.
