Waiting for my youngest to finish his homework. He managed to skip his homework duties this weekend and is now paying the price... Staying up until it is finished.

Since my odd job client is busy with appointments this week, I'll use some of that time to further my trek back to college and hopefully a career.

I made another batch of biscuits last night. So its 3/4 of a cup of milk. I'll be researching recipes to churn out some kind of common ground.

I love my sledgehammer, I going to enjoy this way too much.

Only at night do I suffer the symptoms, when I'm not distracted.

As long as I can fall asleep tonight, I'll be fine. At least DST is settled, Mexican radio news won't be on at 22:00.

: I love all those comics! I also love Bloom County and Over the Hedge. Since the demise of The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County, the deaths of Hart and Schultz, daily comics has really taken a nose dive. Maybe this is why newspapers are failing all over the country.

I read where you are making biscuits. Welly makes a pretty mean biscuit. Mind you, Welly doesn't actually measure things, this is the best I could get out of him.

2 cups of flour 3/4 cup shortening (or ice-cold butter) 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder 3/4 tsp salt 1 cup buttermilk ( you will know how much by how the dough looks )

Whisk together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until it resembles course meal. Stir in buttermilk until it starts to hold together. It'll be sticky. Turn out onto a floured surface. It will look like a mess. Kneed 10 times. ( don't over do it! ) Pat into a 3/4 inch - 1 inch thick round. Cut with biscuit cutter ( or milk glass ) Push straight down, no twisting. Place in a pan so they touch a little bit. Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with butter and honey, or make a delicious gravy like creamed mouse ( see Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat for that recipe. )

I love Bloom County! It's basically the first thing my husband and I had in common to talk about when we first met. Fond memories. :)

My youngest is 12. He's in High School since this summer . We call it VWO or Gymnasium( High School with most AP possible is the best translation) Trouble is; He thinks he can do his homework and studying the way he did at Elementary School(which was basically nothing XD)

We went to bed at 01.00 AM and got up again at 06.30 AM this morning. Even though he wasn't sure we studied enough last night when he got on the bus, he texted me that he got an A for German and Spanish.

I love my kids! By the way has been haunting me all weekend for not having finished the scratchcard achievement yet sobs
