I really need to talk to a doctor about this sleeplessness. I might have gotten to a point of tolerance or resistance to my meds. I used to be asleep in less than ten minutes.

Oh, well sunrise is in four hours. At least the radio station is under a good robot DJ, its the only time when there's real variety. I could tidy up my room for now.

Okay, so this one is here. Now to edit...

I saw that song that you posted on the 16th, and the comment before it about being the only guy here. I do not know if my response showed up and I can't see it (unlikely, unless I blocked myself!) but anyways... We are a very select group of people, even of ping group (which is not everyone here). I think it's non-gender defined. (The originator of the smiles, jokes and huggles forum is a guy). I think the song is sad and I hope not entirely reflective of how you feel. But since you are not sleeping, I can see how you feel terrible. Disrupted sleep patterns are hard to bear. Do you seem to sleep better on days you are more active? I found that to be the case with me.

I hope you are doing okay. I commented something attempting humour to your recent posts. I would like to think they were funny, but words don't always work the same way on 'paper' as they do in my head.

I got a cool background, inside a whale, and wanted to make my HA similar to how you had yours. Wardrobe wasn't working for me for 2 days. rats.

Did my comment about how lovely your purple-ishness is get through?

Have a lovely weekend. I have company today so after I work for 4-5 hours this morning, I will probably be back home helping in the kitchen and may not get back online. I hope you all have days of Serenity and Song.

Just wanted to give y'all an update on my sister Karen. I've been at the hospital with her pretty much all of Wed, Thursday. They ended up not giving her the TIPS because of her kidneys being wonky. They gave her meds for that and they are now much better but not to the point where they are ready to give her the TIPS yet. They have given her blood and did an EGD yesterday to see if they could find out where she is bleeding from but didn't see anything but one spot on her stomach that they burned off. It didn't seem to be big enough to be causing the problem. She has been having some severe back pain that they are managing with morphine but they do not know what is causing it. The docs say it isn't because of her kidneys. Anyways... the docs are all meeting again at 9 this morning to discuss where they go from here in her treatment and when they are going to reschedule her TIPS. They may let her come home today or tomorrow. I am at home waiting for the next thing before I go back up there. Next up on Karen's list is the Endicrinoligist. She put a monitor on Karen's arm this past Monday and will be checking it this Monday. They are looking into giving her an insulin pump for her diabetes as she has to give herself about 6 shots a day now. We'll get that decision in about another week. Continued prayers please. My house is a mess and my Mom is fussy because I haven't been home. Gonna try and get some of this done up before I have to head back to the hospital.

My sleep patterns are erratic at best. At this time I have difficulty falling asleep, taking hours at a time. Sometimes it turns into sporadic short episodes, but its been this way for twenty-odd years. And just as a oddity, no amount of physical effort makes me sleepy at the end of a day.
