We'll be eating the pots throughout the day. Along with some homemade tamales, courtesy of my sister. I made a marshmallow disc...finally came out right.
Wireless is good, until the battery runs out. I'd do well to get my phone fixed, that's the only reason I buy wireless.
: I hate the BBH. I have NEVER even got one thing there in the almost nine years I've been here in Subetaland. Not O N C E . . .
And, Malaria tried to eat me...
But that is another story.
: I'm enjoying a cup of Abuelita cocoa that Weldon made for me. He uses a little chocolate pot, a special whisk and makes it hot and frothy. It has cinnamon and almonds in it I think. It probably isn't traditional to put marshmallows in it, but since he made marshmallows for Yule, I decided to plop one in the cocoa...heaven. I don't know where he got the chocolate disks from, probably from the human Mark Wald, or the human Hans Grubner who owns the big log cabin inn near here.
Dear Friends : I'm relaxing, thinking about food and I marvel as how Weldon has a knack for learning how to make the most yummy Yule foods and snacks. Tomorrow he is making Stollen bread. He managed to get his paws on some almond flour and so he will be making his own marzipan for the filling. We will toast the Stollen for breakfast on Christmas morning when we open our stockings. (served with coffee splashed with a little Kahlua)
For Christmas dinner, we have invited Sparky and Sally Wheezle, Bosco and Brenda Wheezle, Mitch and Lizzi Leastweasel, Madison and Louis Biedersdorf, Lili and Billi Woodfern, Milli Woodfern and her mate Oscar Wild. (I am not kidding....he is a real creature) and Merril Starchild and her beau Johannes Elmshaven. We will be having saurbraten or schnitzel (or both, Weldon can't decide), spatzle or maultasche, red cabbage, and other traditional dishes from our heritage. Madison is looking forward to the big bowl of gluhwein, a sweet, spiced ( mulled ) red wine...she can put away a whole lot of that...( and so can I, it is so yummy!)
We usually do our Christmas presents on the eve of Christmas, before midnight when Der Weihnachtsmann (Father Christmas) brings presents. Bosco usually dresses up as Father Christmas because he is the biggest in our clan. It's odd to see a weasel with a beard, but he pulls it off pretty well.
Another cocoa....wrapping some presents, getting ready to go to a birthday party...listening to Christmas music on my 'lurking device.' All we need now is some snow.
Happy Yule! Merry Christmas, Happy Luminaire.
Abuelita is good. I fondly remember wanting to bite into those blocks. When in a pinch I usually mix powder with cinnamon tea and enough milk. But for now I'll indulge in a dark chocolate orange...
I have a funny joke, but its more appropriate for the 24th.
i managed to get a few little gifts for hubby this yr from me and some from the kids and he dosent have a clue :)
i am finally back home from our little get away, nice to be back as i can shut myself away from the kids now lol
I hope you had a nice time.

: I will eagerly wait for your joke on the 24th. I bit into one of those blocks and the chocolate is very good, though it is quite sugary-granular because it is made for drinking and not for eating, I guess...still, in a pinch, chocolate is chocolate. Yum!
Just as a heads-up its from an old Foxtrot strip...from like twenty years ago. Absurd funny.
93 days in a row! You found 8 Crystals
I read "chocolate pot and whiskEY. Yum! Er... well, you do have Kahlua in there... ;) Sounds like a lovely gathering of loved ones. How precious. Happy Holiday!

Hiya! I can't see your post, just that you did.
Day 63---You found 1 Carnival Ticket in the pool!

Last minute shopping tomorrow and more gift wrapping. It was a long day today. Lots of family came in for Karen's Memorial Party. It was good. My nephew made a video of some pictures we had gathered of Karen. Will try and get it uploaded some time and share it with y'all if I can figure out how to do it.
Life is short... Count your Blessings, Love your family and friends and lend a helping hand whenever you can!

Hiya! :D
I just read about your experience with horse riding. Reading about it had tears running down my face. I must go now as my sisters are wondering what is so funny. :)
When pigs fly, I want to ride one.
