I feel you. I think that posting more across the forums does help, and if someone comes across it that likes it, there you go. Otherwise it can be days or weeks between a single like, and then suddenly you get 2 and 3 and 4. Just keep putting your all into it and keep making something that you are happy with! I quite like your current HA, as well as your last one. The eyes, the backdrop, the tattoo and hair. Even the bolero sleeves. There is room for improvement but so what? It's a fun design. The lack of a nose just adds to the alien-ness of it.
