Oh, it sounds like you have such a cute animal family!! I want a cat so badly but I am really allergic. I love plant families! I love gardening/playing in the soil -- even weed pulling.

I have two dogs. The border collie, who is red(brown) and white, is mine (Kodiak Dax). My sister owns (but I take care of/do everything with) the other dog, Omega. Omega is a kelpie-mix so she looks like a more sturdy short haired version of a brown border collie. Only my dog is a wanderer; if he got out he'd just wander around, at superdog speeds, looking for the next human to exploit for pets and cuddles. XD

watered all the succulents. Only 2 succulents alive now. The cacti are doing alright though I think. Also did the air plants--they are drying now. That took about 2 hours as i found a lot of other plants in need of watering as well. Going to craft store after my nap. Thats about it. You?

aww at the succulent success rate, but at least the cacti are doing better now :D It's surprising how long it can take just to water the houseplants ;) The craft store sounds like it should be fun :D

Nothing much - I didn't have a great night (took ages to get back to sleep after I woke up at 4am, andI'm a grouch if I don't get enough sleep 😊), so it was a lazy day ;) I might see if I can get to the allotment tomorrow though, as I don't want to leave dad in charge of everything unsupervised :P

:C I am sorry that some of your plants have perished. What has changed to make them different? Have they all been planted in the same location for a really long time? I really dislike when plants die off.

I had a beautiful strawberry patch in my old garden (before moving recently) and the sprinklers that watered them died. I usually hand watered them a lot extra, which kept them nice and fertile and lush almost all year round. However, that particular season was a really really bad one for me in terms of my migraines and some mental health issues I struggle with. I couldn't get outside, so they all ended up drying up and dying. :/ It was the worst feeling.

I am not sure if you need help or not with your plants but I studied a lot about them (and animals) in college. If you have an issue you need help with, feel free to ask. I don't know everything (maybe 0.0001% of things XP) but I will try if I can (if you need/want).

As a completely random tangent: I just made lemon-white chocolate flavored rice krispie treats. This was my first try ever making a flavored rice krispie treat and I think it was successful. shrug So far my niece and sister have approved; tomorrow I will try them on the other kids (for Easter).

thats so sad. I had that problem with both my cockatiel and my guinea pigs. I'm allergic to dust and apparently they are the worst bird to own for that. I couldn't get too close to him--had to give him up. The piggies I turned out to be allergic to their pee. If one pig touched me even for a second, I broke out in hives. Cleaning them was a real challenge. I was forced to give them up as well.

I haven't had plants all that long, so to be honest i don't know. :/ I've read websites and everything.

Oh my goodness! I am sorry that you had to give up your cockatiel and guinea pigs. How horrible to find out you were allergic after becoming attached and having to avoid close contact. Luckily that only happened to me once, with our first kitty who lasted all of 3 hours in my house. lol I was just glad that the pet store would take her back, so she could find her forever home still.

Oh, starting a new venture of plants can be exciting! My offer is always on the table, in perpetuity, just in case you ever want/need to chat about diagnosing plant problems. ^.^

I tend to do shortcuts when watering mine, but at least once a month they all have to come out of my room and get checked over, just to make sure nothing's still sitting in a puddle :P As long as it doesn't rain, we'll be off to the allotment in about an hour's time - there's still a load of potatoes to plant, more manure to go on the raspberry patch, and I need to get the grass cut before we lose sight of the trowel in the long grass! :P

squishes thankfully last night was better - the last week has been crazily stressful, but I'm hoping that this next week will settle down a little bit. :) That stinks on your strawberry patch not working out :( I'm lucky that Dad's willing to water my allotment when I can't get down there, as if I was solely in charge of it, I don't think we'd have any plants left at all 😊

nods although it's not too hard to dry them out on a piece of newspaper if needed :P hehe that's after I did a lot last Sunday too (that was half the raspberries, the first half of potatoes, weeding, and cutting some of the grass), but I've got a new set of shears for the grass now, so that should make it a lot easier (and faster) to cut! ;)
