I set out to try that with Sid, but he really wasn't eager to sit on my finger ;) Apparently though, 'English budgies' (the larger ones bred for shows, which the type what Sparky is) are calmer and a lot easier to handle, so this year I might see if we can work on a bit of finger taming for Sparky, just in case he ever has to be handled ;)
