That sounds about right. With the Empresses not being an Aes Sedai, I don't see her being able to bond you. And since I've dropped the ball for our RPG, and I aren't even Accepted, let alone Aes Sedai. And it does make sense that our has gone through the Tower and is more and likely Witchy Sedai... so out of all us, she would know how to bond somebody..
