Was the breed designed to be therapy animals?

Not that I know of, however they simply have many traits that make them excellent at being a therapy animal. They are a breed that likes to be around humans and they also don't do the typical moping that cats do when their owner comes back after a long time of absence. They are indoor cat and most have fur that doesn't need brushing, if though it is long. You only have to watch for dirt from the litterbox and that's it.

Yeah, mostly just coughing for the last 1.5-2 weeks. Before that it was congestion so bad I couldn't sleep (kept waking up to blow my nose). Just miserable. So much better now.

So yes, I only go on neopets around this time for the advent calendar and well, i got the seasonal attack pea avatar. Quite excited about it since it's the first time ever haha.

I am working 5 bloody days in a row. I am on the 4th, with Saturday being the 5th. They had me come in at 8 for those 4 days. Considering I take 2 buses to get to work, and have to get up at 5 to get ready and take the 6:15 bus....just...Argh. I despise humans. It's also why I haven't talked to you all in a few days. I'm just so bloody tired. T_T I may really curse a shopper tomorrow.

I'd miss my kitties really quick though so it'd only be temporary!

I had to leave behind damn near everything I owned about two years ago because I got kicked out. I was living with my grandma and my aunt booted me Christmas morning. Only things I managed to take with me were my cats and my laptop and a few other things. But left behind my albums, clothes, books, etc.

Well I certainly hope not! But who knows, hasn't even talked to me lately! :o

I know you wouldn't! <3 I'm alright, kidney stones are still trying to kill me so I've been dealing with that the best I can. This has been a rough few months. :(

From everything I've read about the breed , they'd be erfect for therapy animals, they go limp if picked up/petted and at the same time petting an animal releases endorphines which calms the petter

I'm glad your feeling better, Darling! I do nasal spray at night when I'm sick, but waking up in the middle of a coughing fit is likewise sucky

I woke up and was like "YAY the pain is gone. Got up started doing things...still no pain. Then I went to take care of the baby kitten and OMG I was on my knees in tears with the pain. And it wouldn't stop. So far only a little minor ping since starting the meds.

You would have like a bunch of others to deal with that you wouldn't have time to notice. Actually, that is the issue I am having. I need to thin mine down. I have to many. I love them all and they get attention and well cared for, but its still not fair to them all to live here like they are. PLUS they cost me close to $100 a week in food and liter. BUT the issue is which ones go. I can bring some to a friends property and let them be outside kitties (once winter is over) once they are fixed. BUT WHO!? I also have another friend who is willing to take 2 that like dogs into her home (she wants them to be snuggly with her dogs, which they would ...Hunter hates them all so they cant cuddle him, but they cuddled with Buddy before he got sick. Again which 2 would I be okay with lettting go. Its so hard. And I feel I have lost so much the last year or so, its hard to think about.

, oh no! Thats terrible. Sorry that happened to you. Eh sometimes real family sucks, im only close to my grandmother, everyone else ignores me, and if i do all the work and contact my parents i get a lot of crap to deal with. My mom drolls on about herself and her lroblems never asking about how i am doing and my dad likes to criticize everything often bringing god into it. aww you poor thing whats going on? Why the pain?
