I believe the idea is that you have to pay for your slot, it's not a raffle for a free copy, she's just trying to mix it up a bit by offering it as a raffle type slotting method rather than first come first serve.

So if your name gets picked and you get on the slotting list, that means you're expected to pay for your copy like normally.
