- throwbacks will still be here Monday through Wednesday after the hydras are gone. Guess it depends on which rewards you're after - exp for your little pets, or perhaps loot drops with your medium ones. Really no wrong choices there.

For what it's worth beating the troll is mostly just an issue of getting a couple of people with some time and organizing skills, and then assembling a good group. It's a collaborative battle disguised as a single pet challenger. Very impressive job by the Subeta Staff. :-)

- I did see the news comments, but didn't really notice them, if that makes sense. There are some ways that the older doctors are better to me. Less "drama" for one. I think he was more of a unique character then. Definitely not nearly the same production values as we've gotten used to today, but that can have it's fun side as well. There is much to be said for the new doctors too, of course, and David Tennant was one of the best.

The exact same thing could be said about a coup d'état... ;)

- Lol. It's hard to catch the right weapon and timing for soooo many pets. I was lucky enough to get five Troll wins for all three of my pets, mostly because I volunteered to help one of the groups organized when the Troll first came out. They had some great success for a bit and I was one of the beneficiaries.

Are you sure about the bloodless thing? I'm thinking if I were to put real effort into the troll -- there would be blood.

I'm in the trolling group too. I found the correct weapon twice out of the 4 pets that I got 5 wins with! :)

- Extremely impressive! If you can do that consistently (or are always that lucky) then you don't need a group to beat the troll. And I should probably thank you for my wins against him, - Thank You. I did test regularly, but never personally found anything that worked (but then I tend to work that way with anything random. My dice rolling is legendary (for being bad) in certain circles. :-)

- noted - lots of blood when you meet the Troll, I'll bring the splatter shields and the mop-up crew. :-)

I dunno how you missed all my gifs lol. Matt Smith is my favorite but David Tennant is also very good. I saw several of the old episodes from the 60s but they are a lot drier in content and the story line is definitely not as developed.

Not a fan of Mr. "Fantastic" =P He also didn't want to come back for the anniversary special! I prefer the characters David Tennant and Matt Smith created.

That's because he and BBC had differences. I thought he was pretty good.

And actually, I wasn't such a huge fan of the special, in many places. Felt like they shoved too much stuff in to be easter eggs and references, and I thought it ended up clunky. shrugs

Oh the story yes. But the ...little stuff. It bothered me, and really made the episode not so good. shrug Actually, I've said it before, I think Moffat is /too/ much of a fan, sometimes. The Doctor shines at the expense of others, though that's not a 50th anniversary issue, it's a running issue.

I am glad Moffat is no longer the writer. He was definitely running out of ideas these last couple of seasons. And the way he just lets companions linger for more seasons then they need to (I'm looking at you, Clara Oswald) because he just can't write them off kills me.

Ugh I hated Clara, my least favorite companion by far....well, maybe least favorite after Martha lol. Martha was the worst for me, then Clara. At least Martha only was around for a season. Amy was always my favorite.
