I downloaded an app called Free Countdown Timer. My eyes are closing, I need to rest.
Unlocked Echo Finder! Find the newest special minion in the Pumpkin Patch! (Echo) Yay :D [tot=StarShadow]
OMG the site is lagging again. Grrr. It takes me longer to post on the TOT board than my TOT wait time is. Argh. Went to watch some TV and now the site seems to be working although still a little slow. You'd think with a big super event like Morostide coming up they would have been better prepared and made sure everything was working great. Hope it doesn't die again.
Edit: So where'd everybody go? Did you all give up. Site was working for a while but now lagging again. Getting real tired of this. And sad that the last day when they decrease all the wait times I'll be at work all day. Darn. Stupid job.

More people have been on the new thread in the event forum. [topic not found]
The site is much better today at least.
Not for me. I just logged in to super lag and almost nothing but error pages. I wish they would get it fixed, this is so frustrating.

Hey Hun! How goes it today? What are you and Emily up to today?
The lag is so weird today! The site seems to be working fine then the lag kicks in and nothing will load. It is so frustrating.... :(
Hey guys! Got a question that might seem odd. I have been away from the site on and off over the last couple of years because of RL issues and I am finding I am missing a LOT of achievements I had previously. What I'm mostly noticing right now are ones like my TP and Egging ones.... :( Also, there are some ones that have titles that I do still have the titles showing but no achievement. Has anyone else had issues like this? I wonder- should I put a ticket in?

Not all those who wander are lost ~ JRR TolkienYeah I'm sick of getting error pages constantly. As for the achievements, did you have enough egging & TP to get the achievements? I don't look at my titles much so don't pay attention to that. I know there will be a 2017 rag doll achievement and they said there would be others. But I've been selling everything I don't want and just hope I won't need any of those for new achievements. Maybe you should file a ticket.
CWs for Sale or Trade https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/24266
Yeah- I had them completed a few years ago. And they aren't the only missing ones. I noticed my numbers were reset for my quests and several other ones. I guess if I put in a ticket they can at least maybe give me a little more info! :)

Not all those who wander are lost ~ JRR TolkienThe lag is driving me crazy! I am trying to work on an HA and nothing is cooperating! Emily and I are just hanging out at home. Probably gonna watch another Naruto movie later :D
It could be related to when the achievement system was switched to the new one? I don't remember exactly when that was, but I remember some people having achievement issues back then as well.
You may be able to receive some help if you file a ticket. I'm not sure if they can recover the achievements for you or not, but it wouldn't hurt to see.
I have heard that from a couple of different people today... I hadn't realized that it had been switched over. I think I will file a ticket and see from there. Thanks for the info! :)

Not all those who wander are lost ~ JRR TolkienI've been meaning to get on all week, but I've been dealing with the stress and anxiety of an incident that happened Sunday. My husband and I went to a Renaissance Festival on Saturday, then spent the night with his parents. Sunday we drove the rest of the way home and an hour in, someone started to follow us and continued following us when we got of Interstate in my hometown. He drove wrecklessly, cutting off semis and swerving all over the place. My parents came to help get the license plate number and then decided to pin him between to vehicles. The guy said he was told to follow us.....which is creepy as hell.
I'm hoping that once my husband and I move into a rental, I'll get paid for the work I've been doing.
I've been trying to get things organized so that my desk isn't so messy. I've been meaning to use my tablet to log onto to Subeta, but the random changes from the mobile version and the desktop version of the site gets annoying. I'll be on my laptop a bit more with Morostide coming up and I'm typing out indexes for my quilt pattern binders.
I've been pretty lucky, haven't had many telemarketers call my cell phone, but then again I have an app that blocks numbers tagged as spam/scam.
I probably would. If I had the space, I would have my NES and Dreamcast set up, but I barely have the room for the PS4, PS3, Gamecube and Wii U. I need point and click adventures with hints as well. If I click enough, I could probably figure it out, but it goes faster with hints. One bad point for all new consoles is always to price. My husband and I tend to wait a while before we upgrade to the newest console, like a year or two wait. I enjoy the Wii because it allows for movement as well, but my husband would rather sit still and play. I have the New 2Ds XL and that offers the largest screen for the DS systems but it is still small. I sometimes tend to smash random buttons, like when I'm playing Super Smash Bros. I've got decent coordination for most games, but there are times where my fingers don't follow my brain and I hit the wrong thing. I get frustrated with games that have tasks that seem near impossible to complete, I end up trying a few times then switch to a different game before I get to angry. I love playing tennis on the Wii, my husband...not so much. He hates playing tennis on the Wii with me because I almost always hit the ball at a sharp angle into the corner that he can't get too.
I've started to turn down some of the things that are still in my grandmother's house, partly because I don't know if I want it and also because I can't keep everything. When my husband and I moved, we made at least 3 or 4 trips to the local Goodwill with items to donate that we didn't need/want and didn't want to take with us. We ended up taking some things we didn't want with us because my parents didn't want then donated. I need to do a purge of my closet and get rid of some clothes that I haven't worn in at least a year or are no longer my style.
My father was in the army, intelligence branch. Honestly, the person following you was a complete unprofessional. Good followers don't allow themselves to be detected and if there are signs they've been compromised they back off to reduce the amount of exposure/extent they've been compromised. I'd give the info to the police and let them deal with it.
Even with the help of someone specialized in reducing it took me a while to get rid of things. The more I did, the easier it was... but I still need to reduce a bit, just not as much. Keep at it and the more you do the easier it'll be ;)
We gave the description of the vehicle, license plate number and a description of the guy to the local sheriff. My husband doubts anything more will be done because no one got hurt and the guy likely got back on Interstate (he fled at the word cop), because we haven't heard any updates. My brain just needs to stop creating alternative situations and driving anywhere near town causes stress (my neck gets super tight). This guy was either actually told to follow us (which I find unlikely because the county he is from is 3 hours away from where I live) or he is on something and something triggered him to follow us. My father was surprised that this guy wasn't caught on Interstate for the number of semis that he cut off.
I need to go through the things I picked from my grandmother's house when we first started sorting through things two years ago. My opinion may have changed on some things, but then I suppose I could always give them as gifts if I didn't want to just donate them. Right now I'm trying to get craft supplies organized, and I'm making some headway. I have all quilting patterns sorted into binders. I just need to organize one binder and create indexes and covers. I got all my feedsack fabric organized into photo boxes, I just need to find somewhere to put the stack of small boxes now.
I deal with PTSD and one of the things I was taught to help deal with it is trying to focus on the here and now (i.e. present). What are you currently doing? What do you actually see? If you're touching something (e.g. steering wheel) how is your grip, etc. Focusing on the present moment helps reduce your mind from wondering what ifs, what was, etc. It's not easy but the more you practice it the more helpful it can be.
Another thing you can do is take pictures of things you want to remember but don't want to keep that's consuming space. Also, sometimes someone that isn't emotionally attached to things can help give you a different perspective on things. Things you don't use, rarely use, don't put on display, etc. oftentimes can be put to better use by others. Keep up the good work ;)
- that would be nice. And it would help pay the rent.
You just need to sort of think of them as two different things. I'm sure they would bother you less if you used them both more often. Or maybe it would work better for you if you got used to the mobile version and always used that for Subeta. Hope you are enjoying Morostide on whichever device you're using.
I block any spam numbers that reach my VOIP line. Unfortunately, they recently increased the blocking list to 100 numbers and I filled it up in a week or two. So I've just emptied it again and am getting calls from random places. Not sure if I will start filling the list again or just start ignoring the phone and then checking voicemail. :-)
Wow - you have a lot of game systems set up.
Does your husband like playing actual tennis with you? If not then I can see that he wouldn't like the Wii either. For a lot of the Wii games you can mostly just sit and wave the controller around, but it doesn't work with all of them. I don't even remember the last time I played a video game on a console - it has been a very long time. I did spend a few minutes looking at one of the Zelda games on the new handheld Switch when a friend was using theirs and wanted to show me. Other than that I have been just laptop/desk computer for as far back as I can remember now.
Always need hints. I don't like to use them (I get stubborn about solving puzzles) but I also can't just sit stuck forever if I want to finish a game. And I know sometimes it's something silly where I've actually solved the puzzle, but just don't have the technical execution right somehow. So I use the hints when I get really stuck. I haven't played any point and click games in a long time either. But I probably still have several websites full of them bookmarked.
Take care and have a good day.
I have an app that helps determine the selling price of crafts. It factors in the cost of materials, skill level and time. I have yet to really use it, I've mostly just played around with it seeing how much I could sell some of the jewelry I've made. I finally used the loyalty petname totem to rename Sondheim. The name I wanted was still available so I snagged it, I may eventually recolor him, because Elessar doesn't really fit a Nostalgic Tigrean.
Would that help with anxiety as well? I tend to replay situations and overthink if I did or said the right thing. A couple days ago while I was driving, I started focusing on how tight I was gripping the steering wheel, which helped for a few minutes. Then I had to about drive in the ditch to avoid a semi that was hogging the gravel road. I might just take pictures of everything I've gotten from my grandmother's house so far to create an inventory of sorts and then after my husband and I have a house, I can go through everything. My husband isn't sentimental at all (yet he keeps all the cards I've every given him and the letters I wrote while he was at basic training.), and he has helped somewhat, especially when we were packing things to move. I've got a friend who is a teacher and I've got some lesson plan books that my grandmother never used that I need to ask my friend if she wants.
It would, or it would at least buy groceries while my husband pays the rent (we were offered a really good deal) and I could start saving money to put towards developing my cattle herd.
I'm currently set up at the dining room table with my laptop so that I have space to type out the indexes for quilt binders.
That's one nice thing about a cell phone, you can block an unlimited amount of numbers. I don't have too many numbers blocked, maybe three (the app blocks the rest). One of the numbers I blocked belongs to an older lady who kept calling me after I told her she had the wrong number. My husband answered once, told her she had the wrong number and needed to stop calling and the lady started cussing at him, so she got blocked. My parents keep getting called by a number that comes up as State of Kansas on CalllerID, but they never leave a voicemail, they call on Sundays and they call after 6 pm. I'm tempted to answer the phone the next time they call.
I do, and if I had the space, I would probably have them all set up. Maybe I'll have to set up a game room, that can have the systems and collectibles.
My husband plays tennis with me, he enjoys it at first and then gets frustrated when he doesn't do well. I never played competitively, I taught myself how to play after watching tennis on TV. Most games on the Wii are just waving a controller around , works well for some games but not all (especially games where you have to move your character around). I have a friend who showed me his Switch, he was playing the newest Zelda too. I can get the newest Zelda game for the Wii U and I may buy it some point in the future. I probably won't get the Switch until its been out for a few years and has proved itself to be a worthy console to buy,
I don't like to use hints either. I hate when games don't have hints and I have to resort to finding a walkthrough online, just so that I can make progress in the game (have had that happen too many times). I haven't played any point and click games in awhile either. Kongregate is the main website I go to for a variety of games.
Thanks, hubby gets back from drill today, so my weekend should be more enjoyable.
They have an app for everything these days :D Yay congrats on the name snag!!!
Yes, there are various ways of focusing on the present & it can help a variety of issues, including anxiety. Taking deep breaths (approx 4 sec in, 8 sec out) for at least a few min can also help. If driving stresses you out, before starting the engine try deep breathing 5 min and if something on the road stresses you redo the breathing while the situation is occurring. If you do it in a quiet place before on a daily basis it can help during stressful times... my issue is keeping up with it.
I was reducing even before I had to move and when I knew I would move I decluttered even more. The new place can hold everything it's just chaotic because things aren't placed and if I get furniture delivered just the box is difficult to deal with due to my health constraints. It's great you like crafting projects; however, keep in mind that oftentimes you'll put much more time than what you can sell it for. Unless you find a specialized market that is willing to pay high end, many people would rather pay less (but they're getting not as good a quality). I had hoped to do handmade soap as a small side business... the market I had hoped would be available (for pets) already has specialized products :S So, I reduced my equipment & if I want to make soaps I'll do it on a much smaller scale. A past friend of mine tried to sell jewelry she made. She would even rent tables at craft fairs... the amount she sold just wasn't enough to cover the costs it took to make let alone the time it took her. It's not impossible to sell handmade crafts; however, if you're aiming to have it as an additional revenue ask yourself is it really worth taking over a huge amount of space in my home? I got rid of a variety of craft projects... the ones I kept I'm more interested in & have a higher chance of actually doing if I ever can get my apartment in shape.
Regarding cards & letters, I've kept a huge amount of people I care about. Tip: If your hubby wants to reduce the bulk but keep them as souvenirs, digitize them (computer scanner). Keep some of the more precious ones as physical copies and you can then toss out the rest. When he's deployed, it's much easier to access the digital images... but much funner to recieve new ones on paper/in cards in the regular mail ;)
Also, digitize your photos, especially older ones. With time, the image will fade & change colour... cough... archivist rant :P
- well, buying groceries would also be nice.
That sounds like a good place for your laptop. (Especially if you usually eat elsewhere - like the kitchen.
I can't block any numbers on my cellphone because it's not a smartphone and I don't run browsers or internet on it. Also you have to get one call from a number before you want to block it, and on a cell phone you pay for the minutes for everyone of those calls (I also have a small number of minutes - not an unlimited plan).
And on my VOIP - the problem is that now that we have blocking easily available, the spam callers change numbers frequently and I get the same calls from different numbers.
A game room sounds like a really good idea for you. And you could even put a place in it for gaming on either your laptop or tablet.
I won't be getting any of the gaming devices. But I understand that the switch is getting very good reviews and the gamers I know that have them really like them and use them a lot.
To me, that translates to, he doesn't like playing tennis. I used to enjoy playing, but I was never good - just barely okay. I also liked badminton, ping pong and raquetball. But I'm not athletic, so my best is never really good. I just played well enough to have fun and get some exercise with someone who wasn't too competitive. Anyone seriously trying could beat me (except maybe at ping pong - because my family played that a lot when I was growing up).
Oh - sorry, I wasn't clear. I don't care at all if the game has hints in the game (in fact I usually prefer it doesn't) but I need them to be somewhere and an online walkthough is perfect since I can then usually control how much I do or don't see (although sometimes I get in trouble based on doing things in some other order than the walkthrough). The websites I used for point and click games had user communities that often worked to solve the game together and posted all sorts of useful things and, usually, a walkthrough. That worked really well for me because I could pick a game and then search the walkthrough if I needed it and generally see only the hints for things I was completely stuck on. (Kongregate was one of the sites I used, but not my favorite - I think it was third. I'd check but I don't think I have those bookmarks on this computer.) Hints often used to come with the long puzzle games and they were on paper (sometimes even as a whole book) and you could find just the one for where you were stuck and miss all the others.
How is your weekend going. Hope you and your husband are enjoying yourselves.
It does seem like they have an app for everything. I've found apps that are a library of crochet stitches and an app that gives you a 3D human model for drawing. I haven't downloaded either of those, so I don't know how great they are. Thanks! Now I just have to figure out if I want to keep Elessar as a Nostaglic Tigrean, or if I want to change that up too.
Driving was only stressing me out after the guy following us got away. We haven't heard an update from the sheriff, but my dad talked to someone in town who heard that the guy was arrested in the next town over after he was found driving around a used car lot. But I'll have to try the breathing technique out the next time I'm feeling stressed.
My husband and I might be moving again by the end of the month, which will be nice because then we can actually have things in the rooms that they belong in. Right now, I mainly craft for myself and to make gifts for others (sewing&embroidery mainly). I'm one of those people who doesn't want to spend a lot on handmade items, but I understand that most of the cost is the time that went into making it. I make chainmaille jewelry too, but I will never use sterling silver because it isn't financially feasible for me to buy it. Equipment wise, I have mostly small items, but I've got 5 sewing machines. 1 was an X-mas gift, 2 I inherited, and 2 were bought at thrift stores. I have a classmate who sells headbands and bows that she makes but she only sells them for about $5-$7, which if you don't sell many at a craft fair doesn't cover costs.
Digitizing papers and photos is something we'll do in the future (after investing a decent external hard drive). Hubby had a large library of digital movies until his computer decided to wipe itself clean.
I have noticed that spam callers constantly change their number, very annoying, especially when caller ID doesn't identify the caller. I've answered a few of those calls, then promptly hung up. And they seem to be branching out in their ways to trick people too.
My laptop will be kept in an office when hubby and I build our house, unless I have a desktop PC by then. My tablet will probably hang out in whatever room I'm currently in, but possibly stored in the office or craft room. Before we moved, I kept it in the living room by my spot on the couch.
Everything I've heard about the Switch has been good, but the downside of buying a new system soon after release is the limited game library. That's why I waited so long with the WiiU. It had some games that I wanted, but not enough to justify buying it. He has told me he likes playing tennis with me, he just gets frustrated with himself when he doesn't do well. If I played against someone who was really trying, they would beat me hands down. I've only played on an actual tennis court for a few years, when I started playing, I played against a wall.
I frequently use online walkthroughs for many games. I bought a game for the PS4 called EtherOne that is based around finding things and solving puzzles. I've been using a walkthrough and I'll probably have to start a new game because I did one puzzle out of order and the game doesn't think I've finished it. Kongregate has a user community as well, but I rarely see anyone posting hints or tips in the comments on games there.
