This group is not exclusionary because trans people were not supposed to join in the first place. This group is for women (females) who are attracted to other women (females) only. So those females who "identify" as something else other than a woman will not join this group. There is a trans one if they wish to join, or make one for themselves (a group for female trans people I mean).

You can put it this way: The group title says "Lesbian and Bisexual women", the description says this group is for "lesbian and bisexual females only" so it's already specified who will be able to join right from the get go. This will not change in the future, so if you want a group for a certain people, no one's stopping you to create one (exactly like I created this one last week). Thank you for your understanding!

It's exclusionary because you're excluding trans women. Trans women are women. Please don't pretend trans women aren't "real women" because that simply isn't true.

Trans women are of the male sex so they're not allowed in our group. LBwomen is female only. You're making this convo way too long trying to pick on me for no reason. I already told you to make your own group if you want. It's not that difficult and you'll be free to make your own rules there.

As long as you are a woman (aka female) and are attracted to women you're welcome in our group.

Yes indeed. I will add a rules page in a forum section tonight to clear up a few things. That's true, this group is not intended to be political at all. I've created it so we could share our stories, experiences and get to know each other. ^^

...why not just make it obvious that it's a group for cis women only, then? Not that that's any less gross and exclusionary, but at least you'd be up front about it without this nasty talk about about "female" people only. Trans women are just as female as cis women.

Wrong. I identify as bi and it means 'attracted to same and others' for me. I'm 100% attracted to more than binary men and woman, and I am not pansexual
