So, cult's are being removed from the site. Not that I didn't see it coming, but wow. I am still impressed with this since I read it last night. Anyway, I know cult's have been broken forever, but yeah...

I am, and have been, on a cult since 2008, and even though we've moved our forums offsite, we still use the sP bank & safe, and I have a few questions on how to proceed for transfer of things. I know many cults probably don't mind or have no need for them, but at least on Unique we rely heavily on keeping track of these things.

1. Could we have the option to set the forum group bank PRIVATE only to members? I know this it has been convenient for forum groups to have this option as public, since it's used for events like the one we had (Steel VS Gold), but if the forum group is from a cult, I think it would be best for the number to stay private...

2. Could we get an option to activate/deactivate a notification when members donate to the (cult's) forum group? I really liked being able to keep track of how much I have donated to my cult over the course of these 8 years, and I dunno, maybe know where the sPs are coming from?

3. What are we going to do with items? First off... could we get an option to easily remove ALL items from the cult's safe? Removing one by one could take a while for a cult with many items in the safe.

4. Going along with the previous point, was wondering if maybe we could have a (private) page like galleries added into the forum groups to keep storage and categories for items cults have in stock for prizes, celebrations, etc.? Or are we allowed to have an extra gallery/no-sale shop to hold them? I know moving items to the vault is - for me at least - a no-go because I wouldn't be able to keep track which items are from my cult and which are mine. A forum group kind of gallery would be preferible, so that any staff could retrieve items, rather than waiting for a particular staff member to get online and retrieve something from a gallery/no-sale shop.

5. With the removal of cults, will the whole forum category be removed as well? As puts it, "Will there be a forum section for forum groups to seek like-minded people (like the current cults) or will we be just searching throughout other forums to find people and invite them?"

Well this is it, hopefully those of us who do use these features can come up with something attractive and easy for staff to implement before removing everything altogether? Thank you!

These are all some good points.

Another thing about the forum group banks: could we also get an option to disable donations? I know some people may like donating, but if there is no current reason to do so and the group leaders don't want to have to deal with a bunch of un-needed sP, this could be useful. Especially since there's no way (currently) to tell who donated and how much in order to return it.

Really hoping some of these options can be implemented. I know a lot of older and larger cults have a TON of items that need to be moved out and need a place to go. As mentioned that can be a very very tedious task. Even with a month notice, thousands of items one by one...oh boy!

Thank you and yikes I hadn't considered the 'recruitment'. I guess logistics will change now, but I hope we have an easy way to find like-minded people, or for them to find a good 'group' to join

Kudos to Subeta staff for giving us an appropriate amount of notice before removing cults!

Any input would be lovely! A lot of work ahead of Unique with only one person to do it all. Any little thing would be monumental for the group.

I agree that there needs to be an easy way to remove ALL items from the cult safe! It would take too long and be so annoying to try to remove them one by one >_<

Wow, I didn't even know cults had things like banks and stuff, and I've been on the site for 9 years. I never joined one, but its sad to hear they're getting deleted, I feel bad for all the people who do use the cults.

I bounced around a couple cults and semi-own one myself, but until you join a large one you may not notice those features. Unique (and other older cults) have a TON which are used for special events, contests, other misc things etc.

I don't know if you noticed, but even forum groups have a bank now too. :)

We're trying to make contingency plans, but part of being able to solidify that will depend on what Subeta staff finally decides on a few things. (Forum group recruiting section for example).

I'm not surprised that the cults are getting removed. As more things got developed on the site, the cults fell more and more towards the wayside.

The few that I did join weren't really all that active, so I probably missed out on a lot of the good things about being in a cult.

I'm sad to see them go just because of nostalgic reasons but it's good they have since they were so broken. Good suggestions. I'm behind anything that makes forum groups more versatile.

As the current leader of a cult (Jellybean), the thing I'm wondering about the most is what'll happen to the cult forum. Having it removed entirely would be a little drastic imo - maybe just changing the name? Call it 'Clubs' or something, but I don't want it removed - it's a good way for people to check out the group and see what's going on, and also keeps the group forums from getting cluttered (Jellybean's are mostly reference stuff right now, like the Style File guide, rules, and birthday thread). Honestly, I don't care that much about banks or vaults or notifications for those (though these suggestions would be handy for those who use those features, but for me it's easy enough to make a cult shop or note how much sP is for something), but I run most of our events through the main forum thread and it's how a lot of our newer members have found the cult.

I agree on the point for the cults subforum -- is there a larger umbrella replacement idea for users looking for organizing or recruiting other members to join their forumgroups? (Absolutely no complaints about the cults feature being removed - forumgroups upgrade has transitioned very well for the social group management activities/things... but a solution for the larger umbrella forum for people talking about creating groups hasnt really been discussed )

Hopefully there will be an announcement once it is completed letting us know some of the answers to these questions :)
