Can we use this as an opportunity to fix things that have been broken since the last forum revamp?

• Quoting a post shouldn't overwrite everything you've already typed up. It should just append it to the end of your post.

• The "preview" button doesn't work when you're making a new thread.

• If you edit a post, it doesn't entirely replace your old post. I think it works up until the first spoiler tag or something, and then everything after that is left there until you refresh. I can't remember exactly, but it's a major annoyance of mine. Go make a post with a spoiler and then try editing it, and you'll see what I mean.

• Editing thread titles doesn't always work. Sometimes I'll edit a title, and upon reloading the page I find that the old title is still there.

• Forum group pings always say "less than a minute ago" in the sidebar, no matter how old they are.

• Can we bring back thread-specific, sequential post numbers? I miss being able to refer to post #18 or whatever. I know you can link directly to posts, but sometimes just referencing post numbers is faster and easier.

And do these updates make it any easier to ping large forum groups? They always seem to crash the site and I would be so happy if that wasn't a thing anymore.

It looks like someone tried to fix this, but now the timestamps are all showing 5 hours after the ping was actually sent. Some examples from my sidebar right now:

What the sidebar says ---> Actual post time "Today at 5:05am" ---> Today at 12:05am "Today at 2:04am" ---> Yesterday at 9:04pm "Today at 1:48am" ---> Yesterday at 8:48pm

I think the bad-word filter is enabled unilaterally at the moment. I have mine disabled in my Preferences, but it seems to be affecting posts anyway.

As a side note, if you edit or preview your post, it looks like it works but then as soon as you load the page again it goes back to being filtered.

+1 for showing achievement counts again - I really liked that feature and think it's worth a tiny bit longer loading time.

It doesn't look like birthday/cake icons are showing up on user posts within topics (my birthday is today - Dec 1 - and I also haven't seen it on my twin 's posts).

Not sure if this problem has been reported, but it seems like wishlisted items don't show up with a border on the forums? Just thought I would bring it to your attention in case someone else hadn't! :) [edit]IGNORE MORE! xD I should have read back-posts first.

Every now and then I'll load a thread and there will be a post that has no body. The frame loads with the username, avatar, and everything else, but it's just like they made an empty post. Refreshing seems to fix it, fortunately.

Also, I can't get threads to load on the mobile site at all. I know the mobile site kind of sucks and isn't a priority, but I prefer it over the desktop site when I'm on my phone because it's more light weight.

Could it be we're also not receiving forum points right now? I've posted a lot (at least for me) - providing the site was working or the forum glitch pause. and didn't get a single point.

So, with the updates, now pings are taking me to the correct post every time. This is cool and I'm super glad it worked and all, but like, I had adjusted to the hot mess that was the forums and now I keep compensating for a problem that isn't there (which means I automatically start scrolling down to find the post I was pinged to even though it's now right in front of my face) hahahahaha.

I've been getting forum points since the update, none today that I can recall, but some as recently as yesterday). Also I have been seeing cake icons - have you double-checked that you have your Birthday Icon enabled in the forum options?

Ok, update. I pinged # Melody at midnight and the sidebar said "less than a minute ago", so I've been watching it for a few hours. It's 5:20 right now and it says "19 minutes ago". That's a 5 hour difference again, and I'm guessing if you send out a ping and the system sees a timestamp 5 hours in the future, it defaults to "less than a minute ago" because how else do you interpret that?

That would be nice, especially now that threads have a post limit.

And I just remembered another long-standing bug: when you preview a post, it ignores linebreaks you've made with the enter key. (The [ br ] sCode tag works, but it's not like anyone uses that.)

Forum posts are still currently not loading at all on the mobile version of the site. Is this something that you plan on fixing?

I think the names of frozen players used to be crossed out on the forums, up above their HAs? That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Pings for those players are still crossed out though, so I think this is a bug.

Thanks for the updates! The site has been loading very fast and there's been no errors. In my honest opinion, we don't really need the user posts under the HA in the forums.

Was the forum star issue addressed? Mine went away.

So, I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but I've just noticed....

Items I have on my Wishlist are not showing up with a box around them on forum posts (and are giving me the option to add to my wishlist again).

This is the only place I'm noticing this issue - if I search for the item in shops etc, it's showing up with the box around it and indicating it is already on my wishlist and that I can remove it from there, but on forums it is not showing up right - are they not pulling that data properly?
