I didn't actually drink the tequila, I was future-casting a likely scenario whereby, should I be compelled by my team into actually stepping paw into the team kitchen ( shudder ), what events should likely transpire. i[/i]. But I think it's sweet that Andreas would wrap me in a blanket to keep me from falling into the soup.

As far as rum goes...I live on Omen Island...Rum flows like water here. Do we need rum? I can have Babette ship us a boat load.

Anyway I'm not understand some of this, I googled them and... well now they really make no sense.

1. Fire-Roaster Sirloin of Snark with (Borogrove) and Mimsy Sauce Ridiculand Pasta

I'm guessing you want a dead parrot on that but just to make sure I'm understand this right

2. Baked Brillig

baked.... broil? because it says that brillig was taken from the word broil as in broiling meat or fish for dinner time....

Goodness, I miscalculated! I thought this challenge would be a fun amusement and a way for some of you to show off your skills! I had no idea I was going to throw so many of you for a loop, but I evidently did. blush

We need some clarifications for all, so here we go:

1. Soups need some kind of liquidy (not a word, but...) base, so water can be an ingredient. It might also not be. Both are okay. Example: "Mix three vegetable bouillon cubes with hot water until dissolved." Your choice as to whether that's two ingredients or one, the resulting vegetable broth.

2. You must include the WHOLE recipe: measurements, method of cooking, time and temperature, etc.

3. The Jabberwocky stuff is just as mad and ridiculous as the setting of the mystery. The Snark is an imaginary animal anyway, so the ideas for this are endless. (And no, I wasn't thinking of a dead parrot.) After you have submitted, I will give you my own thoughts on a recipe.

4. More Jabberwocky: Theories on "Brillig?" Four o'clock in the afternoon, at least says Humpty Dumpty, but he's a cracked egg. :) Borogrove: Well, we know they were all "mimsy," but what is mimsy? Alice in Wonderland Net breaks the words down two ways, but would they mean the same thing in Ridiculand?

5. The bottom line here is twofold: A lot of you asked for more things to do with Nutsy and some of you were adamant Nutsy was "not enough fun." So you have a chance to do some silly stuff fitting the theme (I chose the theme for that), but it's now suffering from the "WS Curse," which involves taking everything way too seriously and breaking it down too far.

SO, skip the dead extinct parrot, and try to go more with the flow. It might help to think of how you might make some foods for a real-life Alice/Looking Glass party if you're out of ideas. It will also help if you can dig Frieda out from the wrapped safety blanket and let her play, too.

Your clarification sounds like fun to me - now to find some time to spend looking at recipes ... HeiYu is still reading avidly away in her corner. I'm sure whatever she comes up with will be wonderful. :-)
