Classes end December 6th, exams start December 7th and end December 16th. I'm currently hanging on by a thread in algebra, despite spending 18 to 20 hours a week on assignments and practice problems. I've done amazingly well on assignments and quizzes, but I absolutely bombed my midterm despite studying for weeks. Then I was discouraged when (after 80% of my class failed the midterm) my prof spent an entire lecture period essentially telling us that we're stupid and we're not trying hard enough because "algebra is easy, no one should be failing this class." Clearly there's a disconnect between his teaching and our collective understandings, though, if well over half of us failed the exam. Ugh. I just hate the whole situation.
