The butter cuts down on the saltiness assuming it's like Vegemite.
You really do need to eat it with a butter layer underneath first otherwise it's like you're ingesting pure salt. I basically ate it straight on bread, wondered why the hell people would like it and then looked online and all the Aussie sites online that talked about Vegemite were like, dude, you need to butter first.
It's still salty, but not as much.
As for durian. I lived in Taiwan for a year, between 2011 and 2012 and I remember going to the grocery store during durian season. The entire store just smelled like durians. :x
I've never had the stomach to actually eat one because I'm too grossed out by the smell.
Also grass jelly doesn't really have a taste? I don't know it just tastes bland to me unless random flavoring is stuck in it?
The canned versions my parents get at home have honey or sugar as a flavoring in it.
I drank spoiled almond milk once on accident. The container of was bought that day but the contents were spoiled. It was like almond jelly. (Totally gagged on it. I haven't drank almond milk since.)
Therefore, if a durian is like spoiled milk, nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. NOPE.

I used to like chocolate milk as a kid and every so often I would buy a bottle of nesquik. I remember this one time I went on vacation for 2 weeks and forgot I had nesquik until I got back home. I opened the bottle to see if the milk was still good and it fizzed open, like when you open anything carbonated with a screw cap kind of fizz. It was clearly fermenting but I tried it anyway, despite the fact that milk should not fizz. It was the most disgusting thing I ever tried xD
My boyfriend's flatmate was drinking ginger kombucha the other day and asked if I wanted to try some. It was... weird, mostly unpleasant. I'm weird about fizzy stuff that shouldn't be fizzy (sparkling water, sparkling flavoured water etc) and it had a flat, carbonated taste to it. I love ginger but it was sour with a strong fermented taste overwhelming the drink. I had quite a bit because it was such a unique flavour that was a challenge for my palette but I can't say I'm in a hurry to try it again.
Kombucha is awesome. Usually. It can really kind of be a hit or miss thing, because it's fermented. Sometimes it's really good and has a really fruity flavor, but other times it just tastes like drinking vinegar water, because it's fermented.

I've tried aloe as a drink. The texture I could not get over. I felt like I was drinking the strings from cornhusks from fresh corn on the cob.
I decided to do some leftover cooking earlier this week (putting everything edible from your fridge together) and it was super awful (I guess cream cheese, zucchini and salami don't go well together).
Should've stayed with ketchup and noodles...
Your Hanzo cosplay HA is fantastic! I love it! I would have never thought of using that vine item you have on.
I never have tried aloe drink but I never will now I know thanks to you haha. Have you tried rice drink or hazelnut drinks? I love almond-rice drink. It's so sweet. Unlike hazel which makes my mouth dry. I use it to make pancakes which gives it a nutty taste.
No, I haven't tried rice milk or anything like that. Using hazelnut milk for pancakes sounds delicious though.

It is. I'm allergic to cow milk so I have to use alternatives. So I'm mostly experimenting with every thing (science!) I tried almond to make pancakes which were nice but I like hazelnut the most till now. It gives more taste. I tried vanilla soya as well but that makes one sticky pancakes and besides soya makes you go fast old if you drink or use it too much ;-;
