MBMBAM, Last Podcast on the Left, and Lore.

I really recommend Lore for sleep, the piano tracks are so good.

Thank you to most people on here mentioning welcome to nightvale. I'm a few episodes in and I'm highly enjoying it. I might start the adventure zone soon too because I love critical role/dnd so I might really like that. There's a few more like lore and no sleep that sound interesting to me as well.

I'm going to be lurking this thread as well. I've never gotten into podcasts and I'm interested in trying out more.

Welcome to Night Vale was my first podcast and I love it so much! I also love The Adventure Zone and Distractable is good for when you're in the mood for people just talking about random stuff. Also Dimension 20 and Not Another D&D Podcast has some fun stuff. Some of Dimension20's stuff IS behind a paywall on their associated site Dropout.tv though so warning for that.

When I'm in the mood to learn something new: This Podcast Will Kill You - most episodes feature a deep dive on a disease. Ologies with Alie Ward - each episode focuses on a field of study. Stuff You Should Know - all manner of interesting topics. You're Wrong About - sets the record straight on topics you thought you knew the story of.

True crime: Last Podcast on the Left - pretty well known. well researched topics, lots of laughs. Timesuck - does history as well. has a specific sense of humor that some don't like. Sword and Scale - host doesn't have a great track record, but the research is good. Generation Why - to the point. not particularly funny, but lots of good insight. Rotten Mango - love the hosts of this one. they don't shy away from the gorey details. The Vanished - just deals with disappearances, but some have been solved due in some degree to this podcast's coverage. Suffer the Little Children - very graphic stories, all involving children. shines a spotlight on child abusers by telling the children's stories.

Stuff that doesn't fall neatly into a category: Abe Lincoln's Top Hat - i know nothing about politics but this political podcast is funny and insightful. This is Actually Happening - each episode features a different person's life changing story firsthand. Therapy Gecko - a guy dressed up as a gecko giving advice to people who call in. lots of fun!

I am heavy into crime podcasts. I have a list of over a hundred that I've heard, not including multiple seasons of podcasts by the same name. I estimate that I've listened to approximately 1,400 hours of podcasts. Some of my favorites include Your Own Back Yard, Serial, The Clearing, Bear Brook, and Criminal.

Dr. Death was really good. I recently discovered Morbid (a True Crime podcast) and love how the hosts tell the stories

Like many here I'm a resident of Night Vale (<3 ya Ce!) I'm TRYING to get through Alice isn't Dead but cant get into the third chapter....

For the true crime fans out there I recommend the Casual Criminalist. Is true crimes cold read by Simon Whistler who adds his thoughts opinions and sometimes just random tangents to the story...

the only one i really listen to with any regularity is wrestlesplania (newbie to wrestling is taught about the scene by others; but now it's more a general what's going on in wrestling type thing since said newbie is no longer really a newbie haha). was listening to the magnus archives but stalled out on it.....

I've been into Audio Dramas lately and just finished up Alba Salix. Which is probably my fav now. Comedy audio dramas are the best.
