Since I last posted here, I've picked up quite a few favorites!
My favorite news sources for COVID are sort of all over the place, but I do recommend The Osterholm Update. Dr. Osterholm is a wonderful speaker who doesn't leave you with a sense of dread after all that we hear these days. Otherwise, The New York Times's The Daily is a great one for current events. Love a lot of the NPR podcasts - Hidden Brain can be interesting. Though, the BBC really holds some of my favorites - Science Hour/Science in Action, The Climate Question (it's new, and they're still finding their jam), and In Our Time.
Currently checking out Bill Gates & Rashida Jones's new podcast and You're Wrong About.
Im a huge fan of Crime Junkie! They did an episode about the John Doe here in Kalispell MT and Ive been hooked ever since
Oh why has it taken me so long to post... I listen to many MAAAAAANNNNNNNY podcasts, so. Let's dive in. I'm going to list them simply by how they're lined up in my player.
Welcome to Night Vale needs no introduction.
The Christopher Titus Podcast is hosted by Christopher Titus and his wife Rachel Bradley. It's covers many topics although a lot of it has to do recently with his take on the political nightmare that has fallen over the country. I have been a fan of Titus' comedy for about two decades now and I enjoy his podcast every week. He shouts a lot and it's great. Rachel is an absolute treasure.
My Brother My Brother and Me also needs no introduction.
Mission to Zyxx is the ongoing tale that began with the adventure of Pleck Decksetter as he began on the Bargerian Jade.....
Lore, about the odd world we live in but I have to listen to it at 1.4x speed or it just drags.
Serial Killers also at 1.4x speed, also needs no introduction. Names right there.
The JW Free podcast again at 1.4x speed. It goes into topics related to and relevant to anyone affected by the Jehovahs Witness cult. It's a cult. Call your dad.
My Favorite Murder is grand. I have submitted a hometown I hope to hear someday.
The Adventure Zone is another one that needs to just be heard. I'm loving this season "Graduation".
Hello from the Magic Tavern is a hard-hitting documentary about a man who fell through a dimensional portal into a magical land and his struggles to get back to Earth as well as his relationships with the various creatures that live in this Dimension and planet. It is important to Earth
Criminal is another one i prefer to listen to at 1.4x speed but her interviews and stories about, well, criminals is rather engaging plus Phoebe did a live hometown on MFM!
That's Messed Up, an SVU Podcast essentially goes over a random episode of each week about what happens in that episode as well as the crime it's based on. The women who host the show also interview a cast member from that episode as well as talk about what they learned from the episode and try to end on a positive note to put some good into the world.
Sawbones, a misguided tour of medical history spend a lot of time this past year on far more current medical events than they have in the past but I think that was still a good choice for them. This is a podcast that I have found entertaining and interesting and most definitely educational in a great way.
Shmanners has what may be one of my favorite theme songs I have heard out of any of the podcasts and tends to give not only fun history but interesting and engaging biographies as well as tips to navigate politely in the world.
The Last Podcast on the Left. Hail yourselves.
My Dad Wrote a Porno.... This guy reads the erotic novel his actual father wrote, out loud, chapter by chapter to his two co hosts. Buy the novel, "Belinda Blinked; 1 A modern story of sex, erotica and passion. How the sexiest sales girl in business earns her huge bonus by being the best at removing her high heels" and read along. And no, I am not making up the book title.
collecting I'm big into podcasts so this is gonna be long
Fiction podcasts i listen too: Wolf 359, story about a crew of 3 ppl on station in deep space Wooden Overcoats, comedy podcasts about a funeral home on a small British island The Penumbra Podcast, two different stories, one about gays in space, the other about gays in an Asian-inspired medieval fantasy world Welcome to nightvale (obv) Alice isn't dead, trucker lady looks for her supposedly dead wife the adventure zone, mcelroy brothers play dungeons and dragons dungeons and daddies (not a bdsm podcast), extremely funny dnd podcast about dads saving their kids the magnus archives, british guy reading spooky stories in an archive stellar firma, a guy and a clone make planets together zero hours, various stories about the end of the world
nonfiction podcasts: too scary didn't watch, people that just explain the plot of different horror movies for those that are too scared to watch them cults, talking about different cults Newcomers: starwars/lord of the rings, two girls watch stuff for the first time then talk about it, very funny sawbones, weird medical history
Last podcast on the left, podcast about the occult and conspiracy theories, fun stuff

I've been mainly listening to finnish true crime this past month, but just started crime junkie! They have a very pleasant way of talking about the cases, although i'm not too keen on the amount of emergency calls they show. Other series that i've been enjoying lately are eos10, a sci-fi/humour fiction about doctors on a space ship. also passenger list, a fiction about someone researching a plane crash, the quality is super good, i just wish there was more of it.
If you’re looking for something spooky and suspenseful, I highly recommend Limetown. It’s very Twin Peaks meets X-Files and even as a seasoned watcher of horror films, it gave me the goosebumps!
And That's Why We Drink, I Am In Eskew, The Magnus Archives, The Penumbra Podcast
The only one I've found that I enjoy is the No Sleep Podcast, which is horror stories like creepy-pasta-ish. It's pretty good honestly.
another ATTWD fan - yay! Have you ever listened to My Favorite Murder?
aaaay!! I haven’t listened to it yet but I’ve planned on it. Think I’ll finally do that this weekend, thanks for the reminder! x)
Good to see other ATWWD listeners, I freaking love it, my fill of laughs and spooks!
i love a lot of the standard faire; sawbones and wonderful! podcast for info/lifesyle, start with this podcast is good for creative workshopping, the magnus archives, archive 81, alice isnt dead, dreamerboy, and a voice from darkness for fiction/horror!
a voice from darkness is a bit niche but its a very quick listen and if you like the vibe and humor and horror sensibilities of wtnv or tma you'll probably like it!

Been really loving Dungeons & Daddies (Not a BDSM Podcast!) lately. Such a fun take on DND and the group playing are awesome with good banter.
I tend to listen mostly to non-fiction podcasts like TED talks daily, Daniel and Jorge Explain the Universe, Behind the B*stards, Stuff to Blow Your Mind, and the Daily Show with Trevor Noah~ Lots of cool stuff to learn!
magnus archives!!! and welcome to night vale<3
MBMBAM, My Favorite Murder, and Last Podcast on the Left!
I'm obsessed with crime weekly lately! They only have a few episodes so far but they are so good if you like the genre.
after a while of convincing myself i was Not A Podcast Person™ because i thought i did not have the attention span or time for them, ive actually been trying to follow some lately! ive listened to Welcome to Night Vale years ago and i still think its a really solid podcast, ive also tried The Magnus Archives but havent made any progress past episode 5.
right now i am in love with Critical Role though, it being a livecast and uploaded fully on youtube with subtitles helps so much for me with auditory processing and being able to focus on whats happening. mollymauk my beloved
