Ah, the pumpkin spice craze... For me, it depends on how "pumpkin spice" is interpreted. Some places interpret it as just the spices that you put in your pumpkin pie... So cinnamon, a little nutmeg, maybe some other spices, depending. I'm not a huge fan of nutmeg, so, especially if their mix is heavy on the nutmeg, I'm SOOO not a fan. If there is less nutmeg, this stuff is okay, but still not awesome...

The other interpretation is pumpkin + spice, or more of a pumpkin pie mixture... Those are the things that DO actually have pumpkin in them. I am WAY more a fan of this stuff...

I mean, the Starbucks latte is okay, and sometimes I do get it, especially if it is fall, and I'm craving the fancier coffees (which we don't have tons of here in Switzerland), but I much prefer the pumpkin spice lattes at other coffee shops in the states, and sometimes I make my own syrup (with fresh pumpkin) that I make my own lattes with at home... Yum.

They don't have those at all in Brazil? I'm kind of shocked... I thought Starbucks was fairly universal. I mean, here in Switzerland, we have a slightly more limited menu, but mostly it's the same as in the States, and we definitely get most of the seasonal lattes!

PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES THAN THE US: I'm curious... Which countries do you live in, and do they or don't they serve pumpkin spice lattes at the moment?

Do you like ginger snaps, spice cake, or other desserts with a lot of cinnamon or nutmeg? Because since a lot of pumpkin spice things don't actually have PUMPKIN, you might like it in the end. Most of the time, it's really only HALF the flavor of pumpkin pie... :/

That pumpkin spice liquor... Is that something you've found in the states, or in another country? I wonder how difficult it would be to find in Europe? Because that actually sounds really good... Like an awesome autumn version of Baileys, or something. But then, I have to ask.... Is it pumpkin WITH spices, or just the spices they use in pumpkin pie? Because if it's just the spices, I probably wouldn't be as excited...

Tagging you just because you weren't sure of what pumpkin spice things actually wind up tasting like, and I did describe it a bit in my first paragraph... :O

Pumpkin Spice Cheerios???? They actually did that? That sounds absolutely disgusting...

And by the way, I feel as though I got far too excited about this subject... This post is really long...

I do hate ginger snaps. Not sure about spice cake, but it sounds yummy.

I think gingerbread and spice cake are more or less the same... Except that some kinds of gingerbread are more like crackers and cookies, and the European versions tend to be a bit more cakelike? I'm not a big expert on all of those things... The gingersnaps my family makes only had cinnamon in them, no other spices, and no ginger, and the spice-cake and proper gingerbread forms are things we never had growing up... But Europe seems to have about a billion versions of things in those categoreies...

I'm a slut for Pumpkin Spice Donuts and scents, but I'm not so much a slut for the coffee. Then again I've only had this one Keurig kind. It's just kind of cloyingly sweet.
