Ooh, those are so neat! I love socks in general because the foot/ankle area is so difficult to make interesting, but the ones in the foot layer are very easy to overlook. There's a pair of navy socks that I like in there too and I never remember them until I've looked through both layers about 4 times. cx I think someone needs to go through the wardrobe and make sure everything's in the right layer, it's so inconsistent! You can find tights in the bottom layer, socks in the foot layer, and jackets in the chest layer, and while those make sense, it's not the best place to put them and makes everything hard to find.

ugh i agree there definitely needs to be some sort of layer overhaul... in fact im pretty sure there have been multiple topics about it... maybe when we get to wardrobe v4 :/
Aha, maybe. And an overhaul for color tagging system too, because really, that thing's wrong just as much as it's right!
Aha, that's a cute description! You could try using photobucket or another image hosting site? Honestly I'm not sure which ones are compatible with this site.

i think they gave up on the color tagging thing altogether; i don't know much about programming but it seems like it was some sort of script that would 'grab' colors from certain pixels on an item and then fit those colors into a particular color category (i.e. these various shades of pink will be considered "hot pink" and will all be tagged as such) but the problem is that you don't really have control over which pixels are 'scanned' i guess, which is why so many items are just like. gray. black. brown. beige. because it's looking at certain muddy or shaded or lineart areas and like. idk it would be a very useful system if it could actually be made to work properly. christ im like borderline writing out a whole suggestion bc i actually do have Thoughts on how to do it (manual tagging, split the load amongst user volunteers, provide a pre-determined list of color tag choices so no one has to argue over the difference between mauve and eggplant and maroon and burgundy...) ANYWAY.
old post
@ Frenchi
Oh wow, aha. I was sorta guessing that that's what it was (a program that often picked up lineart colors instead of the actual predominant overlay colors), but you're absolutely right about how it should've been done. Manual tagging sounds like it would take absolutely forever due to the sheer amount of items, but there's enough people that love the wardrobe on here that I'm sure it'd get done in a reasonable timeframe, and it'd be much more accurate (though apparently volunteering on here is much more complicated behind the scenes than it seems like it should be; I saw I think either or post something about that not too long ago). It's such a good concept though, I really just wish it worked well.
Also, because the last set's avatar challenge is supposed to be determined by survey, I'm trying out SurveyMonkey as a way to vote. This is the survey, so go vote for your favorite. ^_^
π° Make a fantasy style female HA that uses salon hair! Upload it to Style File and link the outfit. [li] You don't actually have to have the style redeemed. [li] Hair layering is totally cool as long as one of them is a salon style. [li] If you don't know how to sign up for/use Style File, please refer to this thread! [li] Winners will be selected via survey! (provided that the survey thing goes smoothly and you guys actually vote x3) [li] Prize:
π Post a favorite memory. Chat with others whose memories sound interesting and see what you guys can recall! [li] Prize will be awarded via a raffle; you can chat with up to 3 people to earn additional entries. (Of course you can chat with more than three people, it's just the first three that you'll earn entries for!) [li] Prize:
Both of these challenges will close at 11:59 PM Subeta time on November 14 (Monday)!
Additionally, the prizes for the final raffle, if you missed them last time:
I tried to pick a mixture of things that I think are fun to use and that you guys would (hopefully) like!
Also, let's congratulate the winner of the raffle for the last challenge, !

Congrats Kyokka!
So this is for everyone to vote on right? That's a pretty cool and inclusive idea ^_^
Oh dear I haven't used the salon in years. The great unknown...
One of my favourite memories is the worst concert I played in my life xD It was my local youth orchestra when I was maybe 15(?) and they decided to move the concert outside to allow everyone to enjoy the sunshine. All our music blew away within the first few lines but we refused to give up and just played from memory (it was the PotC theme). Then a bee attacked and half the orchestra was screaming while the front desks (including me) soldiered on until the painful end xD It was a great bonding experience.
Congrats, Kyokka!!
LOVE the idea of Survey Monkey. Plus it'll be so much easier for you.
Don't you love stories from when you're in your teens? Lol you look back at them and giggle to yourself but I'm sure that bee thing was like the biggest thing to happen in your 15 year-old life. Lol that's pretty funny, though. At the time, probably not so much, but definitely funny now!
My favorite memory... hm... that's a hard one. So my family is pretty tight-knit and a few Christmases ago, we were all sitting around the kitchen table and all decided to download this app that made a whip sound. We thought it was hilarious to all do it together. Well, later that night, we had a bunch of people come over, and we decided to show everyone our new family trick. After pulling our phones out and doing our simultaneous whip-sound, we all started giggling and laughing at each other, only to look around at the whole party silently watching us like "wtf, these people are nuts". I still giggle when I think about it!
I'm going to have to find time to create an HA this round!!
[edit] Okay I'm going with this gal for my entry: The photo isn't working... Also, I've never done this before, so not really sure if I've linked it correctly? >.<
Oh no, it was definitely funny at the time too. Seeing that kid try to swot a bee with his violin... just priceless. So many other things went wrong with that concert too but it was awesome.
Haha that sounds just like something I'd do with my uni friends. We forget other people aren't as weird as us! I would definitely have laughed too though!
that sounds amazing[ly painful] and hilarious! From what I've heard, band kids are always going through some tough shit :D
As for a memory that really stands out to me... well, first of all, I have two older sisters and we used to constantly bicker and that has thankfully has [mostly] turned into banter. But when we're all together, chaos reigns absolute. My family consists fully of very loud people who have never been confronted with the idea of waiting until someone has stopped talking, to start talking. You can just imagine family dinners and car drives!
On one of those car drives, we were basically telling each other what Harry Potter character we thought the other was. We definitely were poking fun at each other by calling each other Lockheart and Quirell, but my oldest sister decides to argue, no! I'm Sirius Black! and we continue to of course to refuse that. She gets so frustrated that she shouts out I'm Sirius Crap! and I remember a moment of silence before we all burst out laughing.
And then there was the matter of the bat that got stuck in the same sister's hair. And when said sister glued the other's eye shut. And cut her hair. Ahh, good times haha
Those were some good times. I miss bossing around the young'uns.
Haha, sisters are crazy, but the best. But gluing an eye shut... I've got to know how something escalates to that?! xD
Great ideas! I'll try posting since I'd like to get more active on subeta. It's a slow transition for me ^^' I won't be entering the HA contest (mostly because I still struggle navigating the wardrobe making my own HA), but I'll happily vote for the entries!
Oh my! Did you know that the commotion from behind you was due to a bee? It's impressive that you sat through the concert instead of fleeing from a bee. I probably wouldn't have had that type of self-control at 15 :P Also, does PotC mean Pirates of the Caribbean? I simply googled it, and that's what I got, so I'm making an educated guess on that one... xD
Omg, that's fantastic! It's like an inside joke where one has to be there to fully understand, but those who are inside the loop completely get it xD It's also funny how some things entertain some people but not others, or perhaps if they were there at the beginning they'd join in ^^ I can sure say that my husband and I have quite
One of my favorite memories is the first vacation my then-boyfriend (now-hubby) attended with my family, which included my mom, aunt, and cousin. We went to the beach at Ocean City, Maryland. Basically, I was 16 at the time and not only already goofy by nature but I was also nervous since my boyfriend and I had been together for only five months at the time. Well, due to my uneasiness, I ended up blurting out the most incorrect use of terms.. Here's a few just to name them:
Yup, that's exactly what it is! I'm glad you like it. n_n The salon is kinda difficult right now what with to being able to enter hex codes, but it's still fun to play with (imo at least cx) and I'm curious what colors other people like to mix! Also, that's a great memory, oh my gosh. I was a band kid too and it got really crazy sometimes, but I don't think we ever had a concert that was quite that insane, aha. What instrument did you play?
Glad you like it! n_n That's definitely one of the good things, aha. It also makes it less biased because I have my own individual tastes, of course, and they don't always line up with you guys! For the first challenge, I wasn't picking the winner on my own, but then since I did end up picking the second one myself (and obviously being really indecisive, aha) I figured we'd try this out so everyone could participate a bit more. I think every family has a few silly things like that, and they're always hysterical if you happen to know the situation behind them! Like my dad has this thing where, if he ever finds a statue that could conceivably look like it's biting him, he has to take a picture with it. So we have pictures of him getting his head/arms/legs/etc chomped on by everything from a metal alligator to the Buc-ee beaver. I don't think that man could take a normal picture if his life depended on it. cx Your StyleFile link totally works, that's actually exactly what I meant! You don't link the picture itself, but rather the page for the specific style, which is what you did. n_n
Oh my gosh, your family sounds both insane and wonderful. cx I only have a little brother so I never really got to experience all the craziness that comes with older siblings or sisters, but I'm also exceedingly curious how the eye-gluing occurred. I simply cannot figure out how that became necessary nor how that was actually accomplished, but it sounds like an entertaining story, aha. cx
Hey, that's totally cool, do whatever you're comfortable with! Votes definitely help, and one is better than none as far as challenges go. n_n Ocean City sounds really pretty! And everyone says silly things sometimes, I'm sure they were amused in a benign manner. cx My mom still hasn't let go of the fact that I called ice 'water with corners' once, aha.

Haha, I did look back to see the unfolding disaster but just kept going. The leaders can't stop for anything! xD Yup, Pirates of the Caribbean. A very dramatic soundtrack for the bee. I'm definitely the same when I'm nervous! I've said such weird things I just try to shut up now haha.
I ran the HA contest for Team Gold and used google forms for the rating. It's so easy with surveys! And even simpler letting everyone vote for just one HA. Otherwise weekly contests would take over your life! xD I had a little go with the salon and I'm pretty sad that you can't type in hex codes anymore. Hopefully I can make something for this week! I played (and still play) the violin. How about you? ^_^ Everything that could go wrong did go wrong that day xP None of our cellists showed up and our conductor had to kidnap two older kids who had to just sight-read the music xD
those are amazing. Haha I love every single one of them. And it's like an inside joke now! I'm sure he loved those little things about you :) I've said my fair share of dumb, silly things, but as long as you look cute doing it, people usually find it funny haha
Yay! I'm glad I didn't break anything lol. That statue thing. Omg that's amazing. That's an awesome little thing that you will always have a collection of no matter what. At least he's consistent. I went on a vacation once where I mimicked all of the statues. So there are pictures of me acting like a dolphin or a turtle or something. Hahah

Oh my goodness, "Sirius Crap" is absolutely hilarious!!! xD Those kinds of moments sure are the best. Do you guys still call her that? I totally would.
Yeah, it's all fun banter now. Hmm, well you weren't wrong calling ice "water with corners" ^__~
Wow, well it's fantastic that you pushed through with the chaos lurking behind you! Now you've made me want to watch Pirates of Caribbean. Maybe I'll put it on since it's my night off ^^
It sure is! xD My hubby likes to remind me of them, especially now that we live in Hawaii. He's always like, "Remember that one time at the beach..." every time we go to the beach, which is quite regularly o-o At least I can smile and laugh about it now!
Yeah, my family consists of a bunch of crazies haha! I've got only the two sisters, but a big "adopted" and extended family. As for the eye-glueing incident; it was when we were quite young and it wasn't meant maliciously.
My oldest sister saw my mom putting on makeup and decided it looked pretty neat. But instead of stealing some of my mom's actual makeup, she saw this small bottle in my dad's workshop and took that. At that time, my middle sister was a constant guinea pig and my oldest sister pulled her along for the ride. She ended up taking that little bottle of super glue, carefully lined the eye like with eyeliner, and badum, glued shut. My middle sister ended up going up to my mom, like mom I can't open my eye and they rushed to the doctor. They basically had to scrub her eye with hot water to dissolve the glue. She was completely fine though! But a week later, the middle sister accidently poked herself in the eye with a stick and the doctor was super flabbergasted as well haha
Yeah, of course - we're very much the type of siblings to not let each other live stuff down like that. Your memory sounds really funny and cute btw! I think I'll call seagulls toucans fromnow on :D
Haha I think I can never watch those movies again. I've played the music so much I can't stand it.
Oh that makes sense. I thought it was next level sibling fighting! Thank god she didn't go blind! I almost had a heart attack just reading about it. Your poor mother. My sister almost blinded herself too. She poked herself in the eye with a pencil. You'd think kids do these things on purpose by often they happen!
that's adorable. Haha also, so jealous you live in Hawaii. That's on my list of places to visit before I die. I've only seen pictures and it's beautiful. Do you live on one of the bigger islands or more of a remote place?
