Almost gave but ended up spamming the "Left then Down" technique until i got it lol.
I love 2048 so not surprised I enjoyed this as well.
I will disagree with one point: I disliked the early tiles being often unclear which number they were. I made it work with the pattern, but it isn't super conducive to playing quickly as is 2048. They're pretty, they're just... too pretty. Form over function.
If/when the game comes back wtb 2048+'s relaxing endless/extended modes. 16x16 drool. Would need a way to save and come back to the game, obviously c: Preferably while still being able to play the regular game in the meantime.
It took me hours to finally reach the minimum to continue the plot...
But I enjoyed it, until I nearly wanted to punch a hole through my computer screen...
c:
My plot score got killed by game and its whatever the reason glitching on me. This also killed my last bit of ambition and so I skipped this new game willingly after a few half-hearted attempts. I'm too old/stressed/sick for plots, just give me my booby prize and bring on the pirates, ok?
love the game as well! where can I play it again?
I agree that some explanation of how to play would have been helpful. Especially that you used the keyboard arrows keys. I had never played this game before, but remembered hearing about it. After a little messing around, it was easy enough for me to figure out, and I managed to get the needed score in my first try.
However, I kept playing for hours to try and get 2048. This is super addictive, and I got sooooo close so many times. ;A; Please bring this back soon! I wanted to keep playing, but eventually just submitted a score when I had to get to bed... but I would love to be able to keep playing, even though that plot step is done!
I'm a big 2048 fan (it's the only game I keep on my phone), so I would very much like to see it stick around after the plot if at all possible. I do agree though, that some of the earlier numbers are a bit less intuitive, and it took me a minute to realize what the game was, and that I should be using directional keys rather than the mouse.
Other than that, I'm pleased.
I never played the game before but I found the subeta version really fun! I like the design of this game too, compared to the original one.
i hate this game so much i want to cry.... but i understand that others might like this. i am ALL for new games, but things like this probably shouldn't be a plot step. i think maybe something less infuriating would be good... i mean, i'm not saying that because it's hard but because i have hella anxiety. also, the site crashing 24/7 doesn't help with that.
i suppose people CAN skip it but....
I would have felt much the same way about the Squares puzzle had someone not recognized it and helped out with a solution.
There are almost always solutions or good hints provided (2048 obviously being hint category, but there is a pretty darn foolproof strat especially for just 512) and there's the skip. I think that's about the best they can do. Perhaps half plot points if you make a real attempt? That gets hard to quantify though.
Personally I think 2048 was a nice change of pace to the other puzzles. We had logic/spatial > puzzle > action(er at least) > logic/spatial.
i eventually made it through on randomly smashing buttons but man, i'm HORRIBLE at puzzles. also riddles. so this plot has been a hell on earth.
Not sure if this has been addressed yet, but will the game be available after the plot? I really hope so, because it was quite fun c:

I hope the game comes back after the plot; I didn't realize there was an achievement for getting 2048, otherwise, I would've kept playing. It was incredibly frustrating for me at first because I'm getting over a mild sinus infection (and math puzzles are not my strong suit, anyway)... but after like, an hour and a half of getting to 128 and failing, I managed to get to 512.
Once I got the hang of this game I really enjoyed it. It took me a few tries to figure out how to play it, but once I had it figured out it was super fun! I really enjoy how the numbers are depicted with different pictures and such, I don't think I would enjoy playing the original 2048 visually, but I like subeta's version. Can't wait to see this game brought back to the game room.

I hated this game so much. I'm horrible at math so math based games really aren't my thing. That said, I also want the 2048 score for the achievement so I'll probably still end up playing it anyway.
I can understand keeping it though; it's an interesting game once the strategy to actually win it is sussed out, but it took me so long just to actually finally beat the game.
I'm gonna die on the Threes hill with you, the move mechanic is so much better. I'm so upset that Threes got stolen and turned into 2048. The developers worked hard to make Threes a good game, and now hardly anyone knows their game compared to the ripoffs...
I had never played or even heard of this game before and I really like it. It was a nice challenge but not annoyingly difficult. Took a few tries to hit the initial goal and was a nice mix of pretty art and brain teasing to stay interesting. <3 I'll really enjoy trying to hit the highest number if they follow through and keep the game on site! Thanks staff ^_^
There was a 2048 score achievement?? On the non replayable game??? Thanks for even the remotest bit of a hint Subeta. Considering none of the other games have had an extra achievement, it would have been more than warranted.
Achievement better come back with the post-plot version of the game (and the post-plot version of the game actually better come back, unlike the half-MIA Faded Memories games).
