I mean, color is usually an option when it comes to changes but with this one I don't know if that'd work...don't know if changing to a lighter or darker red would be a sufficient enough change for staff in that regard. Seeing as I initially liked it just as a sword I would be open to more traditional sword colors but that would pretty much ruin the tribute aspect of the sword... ^^; There does need to be at least 4 changes compared to the original design, so I guess the question of whether there are enough changes or not depends upon if the change to the shape can be counted as more than one? Because otherwise we'd be at 3 changes (counting the possible color change).

Ah, I was just about to write that I couldn't really think of any other changes one could make to it but then I got an idea that could work! We could change the hilt's color (meaning the blade could still be blood red) and maybe add something else to the end of it (like a dangling thing coming off of the diamond shaped end, like on this one). And/or add a groove to the middle bit of the blade (like the ones on real swords that were meant to channel the blood running down the length of said sword)?
