Yeah, once we hit camp we should set up all nice and pretty for when they get there. Maybe a few of us can run back down the trail and start pushing their wagon.

I think too a part of it is that Gold haven't been managing to keep their food levels up and ended up being stopped at least once for a half hour - that's 30 increments that we were able to move that they weren't. Which is why I feel like Elwood might be going to have a food buff that would allow them to keep their food stores a bit better - if they win him (and I'm sitting on the fence but leaning toward thinking that the outcomes are kind of predetermined).

Damn, Team Gold is amlost a wagon's length behind us. I feel so bad for them =( I hope the staff can figure out a way to make this whole race a bit more fair for both groups... I mean, I DO want to win, but not like this =/

There's already a food buff NPC, though: Wesley. I don't think there'd be two NPCs with the same function.

I think Elwood could keep up team morale and therefore energy would deplete slower or recoup faster, then the food element wouldn't be as crucial.

I don't think it would be fair to add another food buff. Plus I don't know much about elwood, but all those NPCs seem to be contributing things they know about.

How much can a prankster know about supplies? I hope it's not a "steal 10% of the other team food" buff

I'm not as sympathetic to Team Gold's predicament. We were being creamed the other day after they gained NPC Sephora and really frustrated about it, but we never gave up.

Wesley's is that our food drops 10% slower, I suspect Elwood's will be that when the team that wins him gathers food they'll get 10% more food than they would otherwise.

Ooh, that's an interesting idea. I hadn't considered it before.

Whatever the buff will end up being, the purpose of it will be to balance out the advantage of the previous buff. At least that's how it's worked so far. The biggest obstacle for Gold right now are their food stores.

Also, I mentioned I don't how many pages ago that I thought Amy was the one that is behind all this. lol I'm relatively new, and don't even know who Amy actually is haha but the mention of her immediately pinged the idea that she's the one that's going to be behind getting everyone here. :P

From what I understand from my GF a lot of them more or less decided to take a day off once they were over 20% behind since a lot of the were worn out as it was and they wanted energy to actually try for the next NPC.

Trying to keep on with some food hunting between being out, guys you have been doing great with the obstacles and everything! :)

It makes sense though that some of them gave up, because there's really no way for them to catch up at this point anyway (or even before).

I just hope that they get sped up and don't hit any more obstacles once we reach the finish, just so that everyone can move on quicker without waiting too much.

I suppose I can see their point, but DAMN that's major suckage for the ones left behind to finish this leg off.

The will probably just get sped to the end once we finish. That's what seemed to happen all the other times for the losing team.

I still thik they are whining! We also had trail when we were behind and had no chance of catching them.

Yes, they will. We've been sped up when we lost a leg. We were moving at 1% per minute the last time. I suspect they might have to move them faster than that though or there will still be a pretty big wait time between us finishing and them finally getting to base camp.
