Unfortunately it's not about you being able to put more effort in! You're doing really really amazingly. It's that many more people would need to maintain the same donation rate at you to catch the other team.

I just dont know if it will happen for this reason: The other team needs Sephora. If we get sephora they will not win another part of the trail unless we get like 3 winds and they get all good weather because we simply clear obstacles faster and have better organization (Other than the oversaturation of pings). And while we could use Sephora, I assume she is balanced to not make the rest of the event unwinnable so we could likely still beat gold if we clear obstacles like we did yesterday. It isn't about wanting it, the other team needs sephora to stay competitive so they are fighting their hardest.

Do we know that the scores shown are raw? Or as they some fraction relating to team member number? That would explain the value climbing slower than expected.

I don't think that that's what's actually happening, it sounds like they're just more consistently donating with more users online maybe? Either way, so far (assuming Team Gold wins Sephora) we're tied, so I'm not too concerned. I have a feeling regardless of points and who wins each leg/NPC that our two teams will join up in the end to do something. ;)

But my point remains - if in a 5 minute period we donate say 500 items between all of us that are donating, it should show up as 500 items donated when the numbers update at the 5 minute mark, correct? But I've seen it in some cases update as little as 250 - and again, assuming that everyone here that says they're donating are actually donating in that time period (and I know that I can donate at least 100 items myself in that time period), then a 250 point change seems rather low for a group of people all donating at the same time.

I totally think we can overtake them. we're doubling if not tripling their donations currently. if we can keep this up, we can win

Tbh this event is just getting really tedious. Great way to balance the economy and get rid of over a million items total so far, but crappy way to keep us entertained. Here's hoping the next bit of the trail and then the actual plot is actually fun because I'm getting over this really quickly.

I'm feeling a bit burned out from this NPC drive. The site being so unstable killed any and all fun for me.

I do agree with . If we can boost as much as possible and continue to KICK ASS at the obstacles, we still have a shot at overtaking Team Gold on this leg of the trail. Boosting means that they will meet obstacles twice as quickly if all the work that did holds up and the staff didn't unfairly balance the boost. That will slow Team Gold down A LOT. And the weather obstacles seem more frequent. Maybe they'll get more wind and/or monsoons and/or obstacles that take them a while to clear.

Question: is there a faster way to buy from the user shops? Or is the only method click, wait, click, wait, etc?

Someone mentioned on the news post a list of other things they could be getting us do for these NPCs that would be a lot more fun, and less tedious than constant donation drives. I really hope that the rest of the NPC part of this event isn't going to be ALL donation drives.

Yeah I honestly am a bit over the tedium of donation wars as well and having that after the trail itself is tough. I hope for more plot and fun soon. Like we couldn't even talk to Wesley at camp so he's a buff at this point and not a plot figure.

And yeah we just need to boost really often and be good about getting through obstacles. I wonder if their speed boost will stack and if it their boost will drain their food stores faster.

There is a 1 second wait regardless, but the only easier way is if the shop is a new one and has a stack of items - then you can just refresh the page and buy them. [edit] 6th forum point from this board o_o

Sorry your question got buried! The events at camp only help you get your daily plot activities. Once you've reached 5/5, you're all set until we hit the trail again.

As far as I know, that's as fast as it goes. They changed the shop coding, so you can't right click and spam buy anymore.

Based on the trail map, it looked like there were two temples and then the endpoint once we were back on the trail after day 1. We just hit the first temple. I think there's only 4 portions of the trail, so there would only be one more NPC for the trail portion if my theory proves true. One more donation drive would definitely help kill some of the other absurdly cheap items. Maybe the next NPC would be an obstacle boost? (Not that we need that lol)

In theory their food stores will run out more quickly. They should be able to double boost, but again, in theory, that would mean that their food/energy hits zero and they'd have to wait 30 minutes. I'm not sure what the coding is for that, but I'm sure we'll find out. We'll have do some recon work for us again ;)

We can do this! We're picking up pace and they are slowing down some. We'll balance out I bet. Yay! I vended and I pulled more from my stashes. 8K in my inventory to dump now.
